Honestly makimg handhelds instead of consoles is the best move for these comapnies. People can just get PCs for home gaming. Handhelds are way more versatile.

There goes the excuse for Black Ops 6 not working without the internet, because of the lack of space on SSDs, let's be honest, whether on PC or consoles, people don't have just 1TB of space because it runs out too quickly, it certainly will buy at least another 1TB or 2TB of SSD, and with the 8TB ones more common, the 4TB one will drop in price quickly, that Black Ops 6 excuse is already pretty weak in itself, even more so now, they just want that to ensure that no one actually own a copy of the game
I want to play the LoK Blood Omen and LoK Soul Reaver games now... Also still have my Silent Hill itch ever since a bunch of my belongings "went missing" during a move. Some of the Ps, Ps2, and PsP games sell for outrageous prices if you're trying to find a copy.

If the new Vita has at least an R5000 CPU, 12CUs of RDNA 3-4. With a minimum- 12GB of lpddr5x 6400. It'll be a bonkers sytem. Just don't make it for baby hands.

I’d like to think they learned their lesson with both the PSP and Vita… and given that the PS3, 4, 5, and every iteration of those consoles used non-proprietary storage kinda backs that up… if you ignore that the Vita came after the PS3 and the PS2 might’ve used standard HDD’s too but idk, I never played final fantasy so I never cared about that.
I think the main reason why the PS2 and PS3 emulators for PS4 and PS5 are taking so long it's because they also have to focus on security measures to prevent piracy in their consoles when they launch the service properly.
When will rewind and forward be added and when will we be able to access internet, when will ps3 and ps4 features be added to something that costs close to a gaming pc

I got the first generation Ps5 and soon as they had after market external 2Tb. SI bought a 2 TB that was compatible with my Ps5. Then then now to the new update now my. Extended to 2Tb don't even work. So now I have to buy more 2Tb for my games. This is ridiculous, PlayStation, should do better.😢😢😢
The best SSD card on the market is the Fire Cuda I load up 3 times quicker then anybody on Call of Duty even people on PC using this SSD card had a Samsung and a WD _Black both of them fried out less than 2 months apart bought the Fire Cuda no issues the last 2 years will be 3 years this Christmas 😮

As a PS5 owner im not sure i will choose a new Portable from PS? Hear me out, if i have to choose a second console isnt better to have a PS5 plus a Switch 2? Or a PS5 and a Deck? Even a possible XB portable make more sense, cause you got access to new games that do not run on the PS5 i already have. Also, i think is very unlikely Sony would release a new portable, they can not support 2 different catalogues.
Nah, screw Sony. They abandoned the vita and left hardware adopters out in the cold shortly after release. They don't have a good track record with handhelds. The vita was an awesome piece of hardware and remains my favorite. Sony promised so much for the vita, but delivered almost none.
The ps6 is going to come out and games are going to require more memory like they do every time a new console comes out and we will be in the same situation scrambling for more memory and the prices will be even higher…a vicious cycle.
There is nothing I hate more than the idea of a PS6. When it comes out they will still be supporting PS4, and there will only be 2 games in the first year that nobody will play.
I agree. The PS5 success is based on past reputation. They keep up this path they are on now the PS6 won't be as successful as they think. I think they just need to stop at the PS5 pro and wait till 2030 or legit new technology to come out before they start working on the PS6.

I was very close to buying a 2nd SSD for my new PS5. Then I realized my 4TB Seagate external drive has close to 2.5 of free space on it. Crisis averted. 12:00 I personally refer to them as “The PS or PSP emus” to avoid any tongue twisters haha.
easiest way for sony to take that notch home in a new handheld, would actually be to have an insanely efficient battery. the big crux of all thos enew handhelds is, the play time is a joke. pretty sure the core audience like you, play everywhere. and the core audience probably all got a vita, which simply wasn't enough. now you need something to even out nintendo, and steam. both systems have that major battery size issue. most ppl like me, that only get a handheld for special occassions or long trips, gona check 2 things, what library do i already have, and which system is gonna make the least hubub. i have a powerbank, so technically this isn't as much of a question for me. bonus question would be, do i want a nintendo library. i have a PS5 and a PC, so at home, i am decked in everything i want except for the nintendo stuff. this is probably why the switch 2 will take most sales away from either a new vita or steamdeck 2. but, the stand out feature for the next round is gonna be battery power/efficiency. screensize with 1080p is already topped out. 720p with better graphics on those sizes, would rpobably be even better. now if the sony vita 2 would be also backwards compatible with all systems as an original emulation machine, that would make it golden too.

Eh? You can use any m2 gen 4 drive that can do 5.5gbps or higher. The seagate drive mentioned in the video is not made by Sony, thus it's not their bed at all. I got my 4tb drive for £299 in black Friday sale last year and still have tons of space. No doubt this year the same drive will be cheaper.
I have a 4tb ssd in my PS45 and a 5TB external, and both are already filled up. My PS4 Pro however has a 5tb internal and a 12tb external. My PS4 is good lol
Both Xbox and Playstation are going to do portables next generation not just portables of course I feel like they'll be the series s or digital only equivalent of this generation. I mean next generation is going to be all digital anyway but it's going to be interesting to see them pivot into both consoles and portables that can achieve current console graphics. It's going to be interesting but they have a lot riding on people not abandoning ship which I personally most likely will unless I see something truly compelling. Next generation is where I go full PC and maybe whatever Nintendo's got. Unless we get much stronger laws that prohibit the kind of overreaching overzealous digital rights nonsense we're dealing with right now I for one and jumping ship.

I bought an 8TB Corsiar for $900 a year ago. I have had no issues with it. With all my PS4 &5 games, it is a little over 1/2 full.

I doubt they will have higher read write requirements. Only rift apart requires it. Everything else runs fine on SATA SSD.

The PSP analog stick cap popped off on a Greyhound bus and I couldn't find it. The PSP release version was not that durable...
Mine was fine, I found the later models to feel more cheaply made, maybe it was just your model, or just mine... /Shrugs* game on mate.

I have the 990 Samsung 4TB and that's big enough especially when you have PS5 storage for a combined total of just under 5TB.

Eh? You can use any m2 gen 4 drive that can do 5.5gbps or higher. The seagate drive mentioned in the video is not made by Sony, thus it's not their bed at all. I got my 4tb drive for £299 in black Friday sale last year and still have tons of space. No doubt this year the same drive will be cheaper.

I have a 4tb ssd in my PS45 and a 5TB external, and both are already filled up. My PS4 Pro however has a 5tb internal and a 12tb external. My PS4 is good lol

Both Xbox and Playstation are going to do portables next generation not just portables of course I feel like they'll be the series s or digital only equivalent of this generation.
I mean next generation is going to be all digital anyway but it's going to be interesting to see them pivot into both consoles and portables that can achieve current console graphics. It's going to be interesting but they have a lot riding on people not abandoning ship which I personally most likely will unless I see something truly compelling.
Next generation is where I go full PC and maybe whatever Nintendo's got.
