I plan on getting a Type R one day... Not sure if I want the 10th generation or the new one for 2023. Currently financing a 2018 Civic LX and I'll probably trade it in or sell it when that time comes!
You should watch You Tube Throttle House. They did a Comparison between the 11th Gen and 10th Gen Type R. The 10th Gen pulled Away from the 11th Gen doing a 40mph Roll!!!
Rumor is first year of FL5 will be lower production than Mugen Si due to chip shortage. Dealerships are basically used car lots right now. Expect stupid markup. Best bet is to find a stock 17 on carvana with reasonable mileage for low to mid 30’s. The fk8 is the best car I’ve owned. Super fun and pure drivers car.
I love my 21' CTR. Mind you that it is my weekend car and does not see much rain either as it sits in the garage during the season. I probably have lowest running milage in CA with little to no mods (Mugen lip kit & CAI). Overall its a great car and probably my last in terms of "sport performance". Its a keeper for sure since I wanted a Type R when I was younger.
I believe that's a normal feeling for people and their cars sometimes! Just have to decide what kind of fun your looking for in the end! :D Type R definitely isn't a perfect car and can be over hyped at times
Test drove a type r today. 2018.... it had intake. PRL cooler. And exhaust. Lowered with stock rims. Probably tuned as well. Basically all the perks from past user. 43k... I have a 2019 civic SI tuned.... Type R was a beast. Night and day.
Mileage is trivial. Now, service history is the most importantly thing. I’d trust a high mileage yet well maintained vehicle over a low mileage abused vehicle.
I have a 2021 and let me ask you. Did you find the seats a little bit uncomfortable for your lower back and legs at first? And did you get better if so overtime?,
i have a 2005 honda s2000 that ive owned for three years. i absolutly love the s2000 but i want a newer car and more space because i want to start a family and the type r is the perfect car. i might have to sell the s2k for a type r i dont know please help.
any cali owners who could share the insurance cost for like a late twenty year old? I was reading online that you can get a low cost by just saying its a 'civic' lol seems legit but also too good to be true?
What is the brand and type of your exhaust!! Is aswome, I also want to thank you for your videos. I used it while I was searching for my new TypeR. Thanks to your videos I bought my Civic TypeR FK8 (facelift) also in Black #37326 Greets from The Netherlands
Just got the FL5. Man and I’m in love gonna keep it

Both will be good options when the time is right I'm sure!

Wish the type R had a sunroof
I bought a type r 8 moths ago and for some reason I’m getting bored, feel like I need to dump 10k into it to make it exiting

U need a driver mod then there’s no reason u should feel bored in that
Lmao I drive a 2013 honda civic ex lmao 🤣 like I only have 140 hp so im like bruh your in the 300s in hp lol
Is 27k for a 2017 type r with 90k miles worth getting?
Mileage is trivial. Now, service history is the most importantly thing. I’d trust a high mileage yet well maintained vehicle over a low mileage abused vehicle.
In terms of interior built quality is there any evolution from 17 to 21 or is the same all the way?
Im not sure honestly. But I would assume they made slight adjustments in product design over the years.
When you say it took you a while to get used to the driver seat. What did experience ? Any leg knee or back pain?
nah, I usually only get some form of pain if im driving for hours at a time. the bolstering just took time to get use too
I have a 2021 and let me ask you. Did you find the seats a little bit uncomfortable for your lower back and legs at first? And did you get better if so overtime?,
It took me a while to get used to the seats because they were the first seats with that much bolstering I've owned, but I don't notice it anymore.
I jumped the gun cause I got one at $28k. It’s a 2019 with 69,000 miles

Don’t sell the s2k. What trim is it? Ap2?

Best thing to do is buy in Canada and import to the US.
