The factory pitch stop mount is often overlooked and leaves a lot of room for improvement, both in performance and aesthetics. The OEM piece is made from flexible plastic and utilizes soft bushings, which means the engine and transmission have more room to pitch back and forth instead of staying tight during hard acceleration, braking and shifting.
The current GrimmSpeed Pitch Stop Mount solves this issue and the Race Version takes it a step further. Just like the standard version, it's made from a single piece of billet 6061 aluminum and machined to shave off as much weight as possible, while remaining completely rigid. A heavy-duty red anodized coating is applied along with two laser-etched GrimmSpeed logos. To finish things off, extremely durable 95A-durometer urethane bushings (compared to 80A in the standard version) and stainless steel sleeves are pressed in and each unit is individually inspected and packaged. With the Race Version Pitch Stop Mount equipped, the amount of play your engine and transmission have during hard acceleration, deceleration and shifting is minimized even further, with an emphasis on aggressive and track driving.

I'm going to start calling you guys every week until you finally release a MAF block off for the 2015+ WRX, besides that rant you guys make fantastic products and it always fits perfectly. Oh yes and your customer service is on point.

Haha, *Caller blocked. Honestly we haven't had that many requests for them, but it's something I'll add to our idea list. Thanks Thomas, we appreciate the kind words and all the support from you!

Definitely adding this to my to-try list. I have no doubt that it, as with most GS products, is an excellent part that performs exactly as advertised. I’d love to see you guys (or anyone else really) produce a comparison video of this version .vs various other brands “upgrades”; and obviously .vs OEM as well. Something like a car on the dyno with some good quality footage of engine/drivetrain movement during clutch engagement, acceleration/deceleration, and sharp tip-in/out conditions, etc. ...Recorded on a high-speed camera perhaps..? I think we all agree that any bushing/mount upgrade option is money well spent, but out of all the available suspension/drivetrain mount/bushing options I’d say one of the least noticeable from the driver seat has to be the pitch stop. The very nature of the pitch stop makes feeling what it does almost impossible in real-world driving conditions, and especially in a car that already has engine & trans mounts upgraded or is having them replaced at the same time. Just think be cool for someone with the budget & resources to give us a video that really closely demonstrates just how necessary ditching that squishy OEM mount really is. Either way it’s great that someone finally realized how better they could make a pitch stop just by simply producing one with serviceable bushings! Good stuff guys!

Does this require a brace for a 2021 STI? I have read that the 2015-17 STI’s had a weak factory brace. Is this needed for my 2021??

I need a list of everything that fits and works on the 2021 outback XT 2.4. Wish the site was set up towards the engines in the cars and not the model of the car as the engine is the same.

Does this one have a problem of ripping out the firewall mounting?

I’m wondering the same thing. I heard the issue was on the 2015-17 mainly and that Subaru fixed it on the newer models. Mines a 2021 so I’m wondering this as well.

Does this fit a Gen 5 Outback? I don't see any stock pitch stop mount at the top of my engine bay.

We haven't had one in for testing so I don't have an exact answer, but I've also never seen a Subaru without a pitch stop in that location!

@@GrimmSpeed doesn't look like the Outback used a pitch stop mount in that location from like 2009-2020 according to Rallitek (Kartboy) or Perrin. Hmm, wonder what different engineering was used during that decade of models.
