- The fireplace crackles in your cozy tree house. Even through the windows, you can smell the mist and rain outside and see the swaying branches of the pine trees in the forest. Night has fallen in your little paradise. You relax and enjoy the quiet ambience of an evening spent reading by the fire. Even the gentle rocking and creaking of the wooden frames is barely noticeable.
Nestled in the upper branches of a sturdy old tree, you feel a sense of peace and tranquility, and you stretch out to relax as the rain gently falls on the roof of your tree house.

I closed the window, pulled the curtain down, turned on the cold air conditioner, and opened this video. The rain made me remember my childhood days, when it rained all day, my sister and I were in our old house, studying or playing, waiting for my parents to return after a day of work; then we had dinner together, watched TV, and then went to sleep. There was no internet, no facebook, no smartphone ... just the sound of rain like that, with trees, with insects, slightly chilly weather and feeling of peace.

I love the asmr/sleep ambience community because look at the comments. There's no fighting, no discourse, no hurtful arguments. Only thinking of good things, of our dreams for the future, and our best memories from our childhood. I wish the world was like this community. Together, just observing the world, enjoying it and talking sweetly about what we want our dream homes to be, about beautiful things and joyful times we've had.
Of course bad feelings aren't unnatural, and tough conversations save lives, but all too often we forget the things we love about life. These communities are softly glowing beacons of how humans can just come together through hard times and just shut up and Be.

I remember the same. We get a lot of rain here in Kentucky and thunderstorms. I grew up in a day with just black and white TV, with just 3 channels to choose from. and UHF. I would turn the bottom dial and sometimes get some far away channel that would barely come in at night. No internet, no computers no smart phones no facebook or anything electronic. Everyone always played outside. My big thing was collecting baseball cards and comic books. I loved when it would rain and storm. I would lay in my bed on a stormy night and just watch my room light up when the lightening would flash sometimes, then the gentle rumble of thunder. Oh those were the days. I had 2 sisters in the other room and I would be hitting the wall telling them to shut up! So I could sleep. I was the oldest by 2 years.

This reminds me of my school days when I used to come home from school in afternoon, took a quick shower even after getting drenched in the ceaseless rain. I'd have some hot soupy noodles and curl in my bed. Back then life wasn’t so stressful , had plenty of time and specially on rainy days, it's a yaaay for bookworms! Got my favourite adventure novel and jumped into solving the mystery or some Tagore’s short stories that made my teenage soul so so nostalgic!

It's the last day of October as I write this. I'm sitting in the local coffee house watching the rain pelting against the windows and sipping my dark roast. Watching this I'm almost fading in and out of two worlds, connected by the sound of rain. It's absolutely surreal and I love it.

This is one of my favorite ambience videos. A nice smooth, steady sound with the perfect blend of rain and fireplace. It makes me want to remodel my room and add some dim amber lights so that it feels more like one of these places.

This is so great! I always used to get anxiety in the dark. I've grown very sensitive to light because of my autism, so I couldn't sleep with any lights on either. These videos have really helped me relax in the dark. Now I hardly ever feel anxiety in the dark anymore. Good night!

I just purchased a bluetooth headband (from amazon), which is amazing for listening to these rain/storm sounds in bed. Theres no more discomfort form using other earphones.
Its surprisingly good quality audio too and is also perfect for when exercising.
I hope others will check them out..anything to help those of us who struggle to unwind and get some sleep is a good thing. 😊

Just saw this...a yr too late lol. I was working during the covid bullshit but I count myself blessed cause I got to go to work when so many lost their jobs, homes, family business's. I grew up in the 80's and it was the best. Rainy days playing with my older brothers and younger sister driving our mom nuts. I was the channel changer then . Playing outside catching lightning bugs, swinging on the swings in the park across the street. No phone, Facebook or even ac we had a fan in the window that's it. I love my childhood.

These kind of videos take me back to when I was little and would go into the bathroom early in the morning while my parents were getting ready for work. Dad in the shower and mom blow-drying her hair. I would be curled up in one of my dad's t-shirts and bits of water would hit me occasionally through the shirt holes. Always found it so relaxing. Havent found a video that "on-the-nose" yet, but these come close lol

Mou ASMR u actually have COVID-19 aka coronavirus or are you actually referring to imposed “social distancing “ that everyone is being subjected to , still allowing them to go places for necessary items or circumstances, like doctors office , hospital , veterinarian for pet care / treatment ,to purchase food items or necessary supplies , going to / from work , to fill car with gas or to go to a mechanic ? That’s pretty Much the list 😂 other than walking a pet , exercising ( walking / running but no group activities or any that require use of public equipment, going to the bank , providing necessary or emergency care / treatment for loved one .. I think that’s about it .. if you have been quarantined for coronavirus , my utmost prayers and empathy , as it’s definitely concerning & difficult to endure, with no immunity or methods of treatment to help minimize symptoms.. even if so many ppl refer to it much like the flu , it’s NOT 100% comparable , in that we do not have a way to prevent via vaccinations & built up immune response , as we have had for the last 2000 years involving flu strains and mutations ... my heart goes out to anyone who has contracted the virus 🙏🏽💗.. now , for those who do not have the virus , it’s really not an actual quarantine, yet it def. proves difficulty for many ppl accustomed to being on the go & extremely or overly( for some 😂 ) socially active to have to remain In more confined conditions , taking away from usual / typical Social routines& structure ..
What has been sadly unprepared for and likely overlooked , is the impact to people who typically have very strict routines and social interactions that suddenly are removed from what is a huge part of their routine & behaviors in dusky life ., bc no doubt , anyone accustomed to being so active physically, socially , mentally even , struggle with the restricted confinement prob. In a more complex way than I think many of these officials etc. could account for. It’s hard to suddenly change ones way of daily living and behaviors and it not cause anxiety , marked depression in those already exhibiting those conditions and no doubt, it’s something no one could truly have prepared for , unfortunately,, especially today’s world , where so many ppl are reliant or dependent on certain things that when that stimuli is removed , it can really have some drastic effects emotionally & mentally . The other aspect , though is among Many many ppl , they’re so dependent upon devices / “social” media / internet / computers/ technology & tech. entertainment , where much of their lives are fixated on being caught up in those things, which isn’t good or healthy at all .. it’s concerning , removing ppl from reality more &more , which honestly , if we Must combine thjngd such as pandemic crisis, significant economical setbacks , changes in routine for those who are more active outside the home , esp in social activity , those more disconnected socially , lacking in communication & stimulation other than what they Immerse themselves into via tech devices / the internet , it’s a very serious combo of mixed feelings & shifts in daily lifestyle and routines where I don’t think anyone’s truly just able to take this in stride without it affecting them and their loved ones adversely one way or another .. but there is good that can come from both sides of ppl - those overly involved / those who may be involved to a degree,Connected to others via social media efc. ( it’s still a point where there’s to much stimulation & impact adversely among Those who are so immersed deeply into /being dependent on social media & entertainment via tech devices etc. where this can be a time for all to focus on new things to cope , as well as areas of strength in way of talents ,gifts , hobbies to pass the time while giving the body & mind more Attention & stimulation to work toward a healthy balanced life.. anyone with pets or small children can have an opponent to bond & spend time where when they’re on the go so much , much is missed and things, ppl & pets alike can be neglected or suffer as a result of ppl being so distracted by so many things that need to be pulled back from & put in balance at least ., so I def. feel that ppp need fo stay encouraged, as connected in positive ways as possible , stay praying , stay reading & exercising the mind & growing cognitively , exploring interests & spending Time bonding with those in close proximity.. writing , reading, wking on hobbies , getting chores done, taking the opportunity to get things done that in the chaos of life for many ppl fall by the wayside ;).. & this is a time of reflection, wking on good health & anything that can help promote positive results/ changes& be encouraging. We have to make the best of it& not let the worst of it bring out the worst in us 😂. No one could’ve known we’d all be dealing with such changes & restrictions, the fears , anxieties etc. but this will not be the last of things that test ppls endurance , faith , strength & well being, sadly .. just the direction the worlds taken & the world will see eventually , more of this & more trying times .. but those who let these circumstances be an opportunity to gain positively , to explore & expand on areas of strength or wherever needed most, nothing can stop them from still growing, experiencing nEw things, having joy, standing strong& building on a good foundation needed , as I think in all this, we’re ALL called to identify areas within us& our life needing healing,recovery ,strength, encouragement, selflessness , work, faith , hope,growth & to be connected to .. bc we have a chance to as cliche or cheesy it may seem ,to connect & bond with not only others, but within ourselves.. our inner selves in need of good health , love , care, attention,as so many of us just find when we take time To be still & allow ourselves to & know it’s ok 😂,so much becomes made aware. This is diff. For Everyone, uniquely as we all have our unique inner needs but also,a message that speaks to us/for us/within us.. & I personally love God Almighty & trust in the lord & wanna grow& be closer to him, to be better example in this world , to be capable to help others.lift others up, be a testimony from the many things n my own life I bn thru,have endured& I’ve known

You are in a little fort, made of cozy blankets and warm pillows. While the wind outside slips through the crack of the door, you are nice and comfortable in your little fort. You can have a warm drink in your hand as well as reading a good book, or you could just be relaxing; your eyes closed while you slowly drift off...to sleep...

Thank you very much Alex!! I think the idea of fireplace on treehouse it´s very cozy... On cold windy days you have the fireplace to keep you warm! In fact, there are some cool treehouses in real life that have it. They look awesome!

(shoot now I want to make a treehouse in minecraft because of the flat treetops in the jungle biome! a long time ago like 7 years ago or something when i wasn't good at building at ALL i did that =D)

I love the pouring rain during the day, so relaxing. At night I sleep with earplugs because I have to have silence. Insomnia does this .
