This is my dream world. All I want in life is an old creaky house with a fireplace and a library... somewhere in the English countryside or the Scottish highlands. 🧡
Just imagine being able to sit down and relax in a comfortable room like this where nobody can find you, nobody can bother you, and you can just enjoy being alone in peace and quiet with a lot of wonderful books to read. Maybe bring a few snacks and a few drinks in there, light the candles and the fireplace, and just be in a totally safe and secluded place until you fall asleep for the night. If there is such a place as this in real life, I would love to discover it. Thank you for making this beautiful video.
You can make your dream place come to you. Find a cheap apartment for rent with elecicoty and stuff, buy speakers; decorations and stuff and build your tiny comfort zone. Mate, this life is beautiful, everything can be done quite easily, it only depends on how much you really want it to be done. Dont dream, just do. Dreams will get you nowhere, but a good kick in you pants will take you a long way. Kick yourself as hard as you can and just live as you really want. Good luck to you brother. Insha'Allah you will succeed. Everything is in your head and in your hands. Now, chop chop start working on your dreams.

We're only safe up here at the pinnacle of the east wing, due to the iron vault door at the bottom of the stone spiral stairway. Long ago was it forged, precisely for this event. The foolish servants must've unbolted the iron cover from the entrance to the hidden sanctum. Long have we guarded humanity, from the horror that has long slumbered within the darkest recesses of the old catacombs. The catacomb entrance should've long been sealed off from the wine cellars many a century ago...alas! You sit there recording the events from yester eve?? It will not prevent our fate now. This video right here helped me complete my masters program in one year - going to school full time while working full time. It was exactly what I needed to help me focus during those long night. I graduated in December and still can’t believe I did it. Thank you for the perfect study video!
I wish we could all just sit in those big armchairs with soft blankets and read all night and sipping hot drinks. Staying up all night listening to the cracking of the fire and the rain outside, our eyes scanning over each word illuminated by soft lamplight and candles.
@@liirinen You are so funny and true, I think the exact same. People get so nostalgic and fantasised with these types of videos, they say the same shit ‘I just wanna read books all day and sip on (beverage)’. I only come to these videos for the artwork, not to get caught up in a dream.
You got this one perfect... the graphics are so real they make you feel you are in the scene... the rain and thunder is at the right volume to keep it in the background and not overpower the scene... I love the ambience of this one. Good job!
GinaStath this is seriously the best one yet! The right amount of rain fire crackling page turning - not too loud to overburden - super cozy and old school vibe like in a knights manor
This brings me back to when I was little, we all shared the same bedroom so sometime my dad was working at night, its raning outside, I was in my blankets behind him and could hear his pen clicking, his typing on the keyboard, noise of the papers when he turn the page, the fan's running, all under a dim light bub on his desk that he covered me from. God damn I'll pay no matter the amount if I could get that experience back once again.
IF I could, I would step right into this scene, pick out a good book to read, sip on my English breakfast tea, and thoroughly enjoy every moment of the ambiance which I'd be surrounded with. Ahhhhhhhh but to dream!
These videos are really helping me get through graduate school. It's so much easier to read and focus when I've got this ambiance going. Thanks for all the work you've put into it.
Nice, warm crackling fire with the fragrance of pine and oak. An old book well worn, I've been wanting to read. A hot cup of tea or Toddy. No phone. I'd be out cold in 30 seconds and the book would be finished 3 years later.
This was one of my favorites to help me get through some course work. More importantly, it soothed me and my kitty during some extremely trying times where others created chaos for us. She hung in as long as she could but has passed since. I return here for the comfort of remembering the sanity she insisted I maintain. I am crazy just enough to imagine her curled up here gaining the warmth from my lap.
My favorite one. I have come here for years now to listen while I read or write. The sound of rain isn't overpowering and doesn't give me a headache. The other immersive sounds are balanced well. I have searched and listened to many and always end up coming back here. Thank you for creating such a masterpiece. Hope you're well~ 🧡
Beautiful and peaceful...after coughing my lungs-out with a nasty flu, I was able to sleep thanks to this calming video. The faint sounds of someone writing in the background was perfect for me.
I love this so much. The sound of the chair and the books is like a silent companion, but you don't have the uneasy feeling of forced conversation. Just silently working next to each other enjoying the company. Amazing.
La depresión es algo fuerte y muchas veces se lleva a las personas, pero siempre tenemos un Ángel que nos ayuda a superar este episodio negativo de nuestras vidas, Dios jamás no abandona, siempre nos libra de todo mal.
I want to grab a cup of tea and curl up in an old chair, while reading a childhood book and occasionally getting up to grab a fresh cup and a biscuit before sitting back down and petting the cat that has decided to sleep in my lap.
I don't know if it's just me, but when I listen to this I have this overwhelming feeling of being safe, warm and comfortable. I genuinely didn't know these kinds of videos were on youtube, so thank you! ❤️
Oh very nicely done! There are a lot of "old library" videos out there but the sound mix on yours sets it apart from the rest. I love the creaking wood and also how the thunderstorm sounds like it is outside, not in the room with you. The paper/writing sounds are not overpowering everything else either. You can really feel like you're part of the atmosphere. Just very well done overall. Thanks for this!
The door creak @23:52 genuinely made me pause to see if someone had entered the room. I think that means you win at immersion. Thank you for the awesome content.
This is perfect! Thank you so much! Haha everyone stop hating on the writing. It makes me feel like I’ve got a study buddy. I can hear the productivity vibes.
It´s amazing ,supernatural power to make this vídeo.People walking, and the sound of this library is taking us to the eternity. Thanks another time for this bless giving.
This is one of my favourite 'go-to' relaxing videos to watch (mostly when studying). The images are perfect - I adore the little touch of the books on the floor, it wouldn't be relaxing if everything was too neat. The glowing from the candles and fireplace feel so true to life and the fireplace crackling sound is absolute perfection. I love the sounds of someone writing on a notepad as well, it makes it feel like a real library space 💖
Dude, rent your own place, buy some speakers and enjoy the role play. Everything is in your mind. Reality is just as imaginary as an actual imaginary. Compel yourself that sth is true then that will be true. Darn it, why cant i follow my own advice. Everything is always in the way.
Shame there's not a VR version of this. Make a room with books you can actually pull down and read with a table where you can take notes with a stylus or controller.
@@rejvaik00 wait, you can actually read books in the game? Like is it just a game, or is it interactive and you can read books that you want in VR? I don't understand. Also, what's mist?
I'm one of those people who needs someone in the room to not feel alone, but I'm not talkative enough to hold a conversation. Hearing the background activity has been one of the most comforting things I've heard since I moved, thank you
This is my absolute FAVORITE video when I'm wanting thunder ambiance. I always search to see what's out there and always come back to this one when it's time for sleep. Thank you!!
I want to a home just like this, I’m going to build my own home someday the architecture will be magnificent and fits the comfort just like this library room.
I hope you are closer to your goal now than 6 months ago. I hope at least someone in this life succeeds in their life. My life's goal seems like getting farther ans farther with each passing day. To the void with this life.
French med school student taking a break here ! I lit everything off in my room, I'm eating popcorn and listening to this. Wish I was there with you all.
One day I hope VR is good enough and comfortable enough that you can actually just sit in hyper realistic versions of environments like this for long durations while you use your PC
@@oleh8644 well as of right now, VR does suck compared to real life. That said it's nearly impossible to get to a room where the vibe is THIS immaculate. That said, one day VR will be good enough that we can 'fall asleep' and wake up in a vr world, and when that happens, it'll be sick.
Glad to meet all the higher consciousness people here. you are my tribe, my support. I feel so alone with family and friends not understanding me about stuff like this. Much love and light everyone
As much as I love reading, I'd be more interested in the ambience of the room. I'd probably sit at the window with a cup of coffee occasionally looking at the fireplace and occasionally at the storm outside. Awesome work though! I really appreciate this :)
Thank you soooooooo... much I always get distracted reading 📖 but thanks to this video every time I look up from my book I see this library and want to continue reading! Thanks 📖

Wishing you a happy and warm Christmas season.
Of all the vids of this kind, this one is my favourite. It's the combination of the rain, the fire, the sound of quill on parchment, the creaking chair. I just love it.
Listening to this, I imagine myself curled in front of the fire wrapped in a soft, warm blanket...being lulled to sleep by the sounds of the person I love writing in the glow of the firelight. Heaven.
You are the backdrop to most of my Zoom meetings at work, unbeknownst to my colleagues who I have to remind myself CANNOT hear the thunder and the calming rain in the background. THANK you
This is perfect to read or fall asleep to. Today I listened while I cooked and it made it 10 times more enjoyable. Something about chopping carrots while listening to rainfall and the crackle of a fire just makes you feel like a witch concocting a magical brew.
In all my time urban exploring , a abandon library in a massive home had to have been the most relaxing and horrifying thing I had ever found. The scent familiar and nice in such a dusty and must smelling place , no mold or rot to the books , but a lamp still turned on on a desk in the center of the back of the room is what left me in-nerved as if someone had been then only moments before me , heard me coming and taken off . I took to the far corner away from all doors and sat in silence waiting to make sure I'd avoid that which had come b4 me.
Fantastic! The title says it all, “Crackling fireplace 🔥, a rainy night, thunder ⛈, …” plus, candles 🕯 illuminating the room, a lantern placed on a table near a window, all the creaking sounds, and all in a library 📚. It just needs a big red velvet wing back chair with the back facing us, which appears to have someone sitting in it smoking a pipe, and a cup of tea 🫖 ☕️ on a table.🤔👍🏼👍🏼🙏🏼🌎✌🏼
I closed the window, pulled the curtain down, turned on the cold air conditioner, and opened this video. The rain made me remember my childhood days, when it rained all day, my sister and I were in our old house, studying or playing, waiting for my parents to return after a day of work; then we had dinner together, watched TV, and then went to sleep. There was no internet, no facebook, no smartphone ... just the sound of rain like that, with trees, with insects, slightly chilly weather and feeling of peace.
"Ah,a nice night outside raining down with light thunder, I'm inside a nice warm house, in the library, reading, researching, the fireplace with a room full of warmth, along with my reading and researching I have a cup of warm coffee, maybe some cookies or crackers for a snack, an ink pen and paper for jotting down important things, as the night goes on I slowly put the books up, and the coffee and snacks too, I turn off the lights, I retire to my bed for the night, so Goodnight, God Bless,& Pleasant Dreams."-😇. 🌐🕋🌐.
Everything about this video is absolutely perfect! The balance of sounds is on point (a lot of other ambience videos have "background" sounds that overpower or are equal to everything else happening). And I've been DYING to find old mansion or library videos that have actual old sounds, like the creaking wood! I even started my own playlist to save any videos I find in one place... so far yours are the only videos I have in there 😄 Your ambience videos are unmatched! They feel so real ⭐️

This is lovely.
This is so sweet, thank you Maya.
oh boy this gives the one of those feelings that you can't describe with words.
Nostalgia and longing for a place that does not exist? Mayhaps that is what you mean
@Gappie Al Kebabi Your optimism is contagious :)
the type of feeling that makes you question your own spiritual beliefs, i fucking love it lol
It’s called “anemoia”. A feeling of nostalgia for some place and time you have not experienced.

You are so funny and true, I think the exact same.
Good job!
Thank you Gina for your opinion... much apreciated! Have a lovely week
GinaStath this is seriously the best one yet! The right amount of rain fire crackling page turning - not too loud to overburden - super cozy and old school vibe like in a knights manor
The thinness of the walls bothers me.
The window is absolutely gorgeous, but I don’t like the fact that it’s open. The cold temperature would come in.
you observational skills arent too sharp are they. hun?
This brings me back to when I was little, we all shared the same bedroom so sometime my dad was working at night, its raning outside, I was in my blankets behind him and could hear his pen clicking, his typing on the keyboard, noise of the papers when he turn the page, the fan's running, all under a dim light bub on his desk that he covered me from. God damn I'll pay no matter the amount if I could get that experience back once again.
Cosmonaut G1 I hear you bud. There’s a lot of people that would chime with.
We are so privileged, now we can pretend to live like this.

who wants to set here with me and have a cup of tea and chat all night?
When I win the lottery, I am gonna buy this place, and invite you all over just to chill. Seriously!
I don't know who needs to hear this, but everything is going to be fine. Release all negative thoughts and relax 👍 Good night
Good night.
Really love this reminds me a bit of the Hogwarts dormitories
Which is funny considering I'm reading Harry Potter to this
Exactly how I remember my dormitory in 1798....
Some of these make me think of middle earth. LOTR
Yeah.
YESSSS!!!!
IF I could, I would step right into this scene, pick out a good book to read, sip on my English breakfast tea, and thoroughly enjoy every moment of the ambiance which I'd be surrounded with. Ahhhhhhhh but to dream!
Cast it to your TV Suzie - and you're golden.
Love this! I want to sit down in that library on a cold winter night and stare at the fire. Reading....maybe. lol
Me too 🤗⛈️📚💜
If I were ever to be reincarnated as a cat, I would want to sleep in this library.
@jamie ericcon .......
Reading is the most relaxing thing in this life dude
me tooo, i lovee it so much
These videos are really helping me get through graduate school. It's so much easier to read and focus when I've got this ambiance going. Thanks for all the work you've put into it.
hope grad school's going well for you!!! you got this :D
Came here from Kennedy's insta story. This is so relaxing, bless her for putting the story.

Hope you feel better!

Oh man, I can smell the books and rain and old wood! This is awesome, thank you.
...and just the hint of old, dried blood!
Cool. How big is your screen?

Love love this rain. Am I the only one who literally goes through tons of videos to find the perfect rain sound to reflect on and fall asleep to?!!
I hope everyone who sees this article has a good night and sweet dreams.
The door creak @23:52 genuinely made me pause to see if someone had entered the room. I think that means you win at immersion. Thank you for the awesome content.

LOVE the fireplace crackling and the pages turning every once in a while. * happy place *
Thank you very much Maria! :)❤
Found this after a panic attack, I wanted something that made me feel safe…. Thank you for this because this is now my safe space ❤️
I use this while prepping for D&D sessions I DM. Makes me feel like Gandalf searching for documents and jotting things down. Thank you for all you do.
I like the writing sounds !!!!!! all the elements togheter are perfect, another video like this please
Of all the library ambiances this one is my favourite! The perfect blend of rain, thunder, fire, and writing and book sounds. Thank you!

Shame there's not a VR version of this. Make a room with books you can actually pull down and read with a table where you can take notes with a stylus or controller.
You can it's a game called Myst
@@rejvaik00 There's a Myst for VR? NICE!
@@rejvaik00 wait, you can actually read books in the game? Like is it just a game, or is it interactive and you can read books that you want in VR? I don't understand. Also, what's mist?
think youre missing the point. this is for studying
Life hack: go to your book shelf, take a book, sit on your sofa and read it (e.g. while having this video play in the background). no VR needed XD
I could spend a year in that room and count it as time well spent ! Subscribed!
As Borges said: "I cannot sleep unless I am surrounded by books." Thanks a lot, New Bliss! I love libraries and this one is particularly beautiful.
I'm one of those people who needs someone in the room to not feel alone, but I'm not talkative enough to hold a conversation. Hearing the background activity has been one of the most comforting things I've heard since I moved, thank you
I just loved the shuffling and light scratching of the paper, made me smile it was so nice and felt so cozy
This is exactly how I love my evenings, now to brew some tea.

One day I hope VR is good enough and comfortable enough that you can actually just sit in hyper realistic versions of environments like this for long durations while you use your PC
I hope one day I can go outside.
VR sucks. You can experience it in real life, which is a thousand times better. Don't be a consoomer, be a real-life enjoyer.
I fantasize about comfortable, immersive, therapeautic VR all of the time. Just make the tech already
Or VR libraries where you can just go and sit and read books and speak to fictional characters lol.

As much as I love reading, I'd be more interested in the ambience of the room. I'd probably sit at the window with a cup of coffee occasionally looking at the fireplace and occasionally at the storm outside.
Awesome work though! I really appreciate this :)

Studying in a giant library freely for months can teach you more than school can for years. Seriously, they really need to change their ways.
An hour on the internet can do what hundreds of historians and literature experts would need years to find/complete. See to the privilege bestowed upon you rather than make a fuss about school.
@@ExEnTriK Idk I'm just ssying they need to change their ways of teaching.
It would be icing on the cake to have someone in the background time to time snoring next to a sleeping cat purring softly time to time as well.

Heaven.
I love the sounds of writing on the paper with the rain.
Thank you immensely for not having add mid-video! It is an incredible blessing to have ambience in the background with an add destroying the mood.
Beautiful work! Please don't delete this one. ;) Very very helpful for concentration and motivation.
Also, I personally like it more with the scribbling/person in the background writing/reading noises.
I’ve been listening to this every time I want to read it’s been a lovely experience , thank you for uploading it 🧡
Can’t tell you how much this helps me with my reading. Allows me to
filter out other people’s voices etc.
Oh my god that fire is PERFECT, so many tingles! And the rain and the writing sounds.... 👌🏻
This is the only one that relaxes me enough to sleep. I love the subtle sounds of someone being up, quietly writing, walking around now and then
This has to be my favorite video like these that I’ve ever come across. Nice and relaxing. I love that the rain isn’t too overpowering. Thank you. ☺️

cookies or crackers for a snack,
an ink pen and paper for jotting

Everything about this video is absolutely perfect! The balance of sounds is on point (a lot of other ambience videos have "background" sounds that overpower or are equal to everything else happening). And I've been DYING to find old mansion or library videos that have actual old sounds, like the creaking wood! I even started my own playlist to save any videos I find in one place... so far yours are the only videos I have in there 😄 Your ambience videos are unmatched! They feel so real ⭐️
