    Royal oak is expensive but beautiful and vibrant. I worked at the Hyatt on main.
    Ferndale is very family oriented, but expensive. Oak Park is close very nice and culture friendly. Living in Oak Park I had white, black, Hispanic, and Asian neighbors. I loved it! I moved back to Detroit and loving it!!!!! Detroit is growing!

    I agree with this. I live in Clinton Twp because of the low taxes. I grew up in Rochester. I wouldnt live in Rochester again since the traffic is horrible. Im a contractor who works all over metro Detroit and see all the development (or lack of) in each place regularly. Royal Oak is also busy. Im always looking for low priced fixer upper properties and the 5 places you mentioned rarely have any "cheap" places for sale. Lets hope the recession changes that in next 5 years.

      Yeah, Clinton twp is definitely another one that has some great pockets to have your money go further for sure! I’m listing a condo their in a few weeks. We shall see what the future holds my man.

    I didn't like Detroit. It seemed like one the only places in America thats still blently segregated (Dearborn=middle eastern, Gross Point=Rich, East Side=Poor) not saying other place isnt like that but it seem drastic and obvious in Detroit. It felt like the twilight zone. Im from Grand Rapids and I wasnt used to that.

    • @EdButlerDetroit
      @EdButlerDetroit  10 місяців тому +3

      Yea, most major cities with diversity are like that. Most people migrate and immigrate towards people of a similar culture to themselves. And that’s beyond the historical reasons for it. East Rapids looks a lot different from South Grapids too right?
