Perfect video. Informative, no annoying talk-over, and top-notch videography. Thank you. Keep putting out this kind of content. I’ll bet your channel hits 100k this year.
Thank you! 🙏 Your feedback is much appreciated! 😊 I will do my best to produce more high quality cinematic content. 😉 We'll see how we're doing at the end of this year 🧐 😊
Beautiful scape. Stunning production values. But what I like most is that the betta has a great home and not some horrifying tiny bowl that people like to put them in.
I think thats what my betta is gonna look like. I rescued him from a pet store on the brink of death and im currently nursing some real bad fin rot on him. His color is starting to come back now and im noticing the same pattern of red on his lower fins like yours has. Great video!
Thank you for your comment! 🙏 Hope you rescued betta is doing better. You’re doing an amazing job giving your betta a new home 🏠 and I am sure he’s going to love it. Please let me know if you have any questions about the tank.
watching this type of video gives a great deal of relaxation for me, I enjoy seeing people bring realistic copy of nature in tanks etc. this is beautiful.
Nice work, The trick was plant selection. Good job at that. Learnt over the years that if we choose low demanding plants (low light, no co2) that way, we have low tech (no co2) and no algae (low light). If we choose the plants that needs this and we give them what they need, we get such a beautiful tank, a happy Betta and a proud owner like we see here :-)

I'm so glad i happened to chance on your channel. WOW..... you only have 3 videos but i see great potential here. You have yourself a new subscriber my friend. I'm looking forward to seeing more great stuff from you!
Here are some tips which i hope would be useful for you to grow your channel ~ 1) Thumbnail photo ~ That beautiful photo is what made me click on your video. The photo has got to grab attention to make viewers want to click on it to check it out 2) The title of your video ~ This is something you need to take note off because when viewers type in words to search for videos on UA-cam, you would hopefully want your videos to pop up near the top of the list 3) Make great content/videos ~ Your content is great....... So be consistent and over the long run you will have a following. By consistent i mean consistent not only in the quality of your content but also regular uploads because that way UA-cam's algo will be more likely to make "recommendation" on your videos to viewers. You don't need to make 3 or 4 videos a week. I've seen how UA-camrs upload 1 good video a week and over time it slowly gained traction and before long, the subscribers just skyrocket in a short period of time 4) Enjoy what you're doing (the journey/process) and don't get too stressed out with the statistics/numbers while trying to grow your subscribers. People are usually at their best when they're doing what they love. Good luck and all the Best!! :-)
I'm no expert here, so I might be wrong, correct me if I am. But I believe this tank will do really well without injection of CO2 into the water, because your most demanding plant are or will grow partially outside the water, and there is naturally way more CO2 in the air than in the water. You've a good lighting too, so I guess they will grow very well. With only one fish and so many plant, I'm not even sure you need a filter tbh, your plant will take care of the little amount of ammonia you betta will create ^^ Anyway, great video, beautiful fish and stunning tank :)
Hey this is beautiful! I’m just branching into aquascaping and was wanting to do a betta tank for starters. This is very inspiring and informative, and was oddly calming (good music and no annoying rambling lmao) - looking forward to future videos. 🙏🏽
Thank you very much for your kind feedback 🙏 I am glad you enjoyed watching the video. It's nice to hear that you like it as I am intending to continue with the similar style in my upcoming projects as well. 😊
Absolute perfection. I watched it 3 times consecutively- relaxing, informative and inspiring. The creativity and design of both the scape and video are just unmatched. Clearly my favorite aquascape haha Can’t wait for more videos!
There's lots of floating plants to give Betta lots of shelter. Bettas would not jump if they don't have a reason, usually stress or bad water quality. Thank you for your kind comment! 💚🙏
Thank you! 🙏 Glad you liked it! And yes, TheCineScaper's work is definitely inspirational. To answer your question, Betta's are naturally hunting and feeding on insect and small crustaceans. I can also see that he is sometimes very curious and has a tendency to chase them. Fortunately there is plenty of hiding spaces. 😉
Absolutely wonderful.. I was planning on doing a Shrimp only tank, maybe with a few other small fishes with a similar layout. Kindly suggest if I use same tank size as yours will it work?
I loved the tank. In my opinion the most beautiful I have seen so far of a betta fish. I'm interested in whether you do weekly water changes for him or do you change his water at all?
Hey ! Thanks for that video and your impressive mastering of aquascaping ! I’m very curious about how you managed to grow that many bolbitis, moss and pogostemon emersed while coming from water ! Could you please give us more explanation or even a video about it ? 😎🙏 I have a nice planted 120 P which i quite love but i just can’t grow emersed plants properly 🫣
Will definitely bring an update soon. Filter is hidden in the back and covered by Bolbitis. Still no ferts and everything is thriving despite criticism from some people. 😉💚🙏
Thank you! 🙏 I will make sure to provide them with lots of cover, also the surface is full of floating plants. I also usually keep the water level lower, about an inch (2.5cm) from the top. I hope not to give him any reasons to jump. 😉
Great tank! Can you tell me why water changes everyday the first two weeks? You said to "keep it clean" but does that help possible algae bloom? Just setting up my third planted betta tank and am finding yours as inspiration for mine. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Also how many hours is that light set and at what intensity please? Thank you kindly. Margo
Thank you. I am glad you liked the video! 🙏 Any regular cheap Cyanoacrylate based super glue is fine. Hope it helps. Let me know if you have any further questions. 😉
Thank you!😉 I have done Paludariums before but never made a video of it. I guess I should give it a go again 😉. Thank for the suggestion! I shall start planning to make one!👌
Im new to aquariums and want to start with a aquascape for a beta and really like those kinds of designs where its opened to the top but ive read that betas can jump very well and out of the tank and i just wanted to ask if this a real fact?
Bettas are good jumpers but I don't believe they jump for no reason. However, it's the same with all fish. Fish tend to jump if they are stressed, hungry, lack of hiding places, poor water quality, stress from predators or shock from sudden light. My betta loves his tank and I haven't noticed any signs of stress or attempts to jump out.
Wow I wish shallow tanks were sold at my LFS. My fishtank is 5 gallons, but yours looks bigger! I would rather have more length than height (not that my tank is tall).
Beautiful video! Question about your ONF light. What percent do you run it at and for how long? Just curious how high you set it with the shallow tank and low light pants. Thanks!!
Thank you very much! 🙏 I run my ONF on 75% 9 hours a day. Ideally, I'd run it 50% but I want to bring out more reds in my phyllanthus fluitans and Ludwigia, hence 75% power. My low-light plants such as Anubias and Bucephalandra and Bolbitis are shaded by floating plants to prevent algae from growing on them from strong light. Hope it helps!
I believe there is enough nutrients in the soil, water column and also from the fish and shrimp waste as well as from decomposing plant matter. I also make regular weekly water changes to replenish any used micro or macro nutrients. Also, due to low demand plants, I believe that I will not have to use any additional ferts any time soon. But don't get me wrong, I am prepared to use ferts if I see the need for them. So far, the tank has been running for almost two months, it's completely algae free and plants are growing from strength to strength. Only time will tell, but I will definitely bring you an update video to see if my prediction was correct. 😉
Really great! You earned a new subscriber! How do you keep it algae free? Still water changes as you explain in the video? How are the red cherries going with the betta? Really inspiring tank 👍🏻
Thank you very much for subscribing my friend 🙏 At the moment I am performing weekly water changes. Also important to keep it algae free is lots of plants for biological stability of the tank. I have seen betta chasing small red cherries so I wouldn't recommend keeping them together unless there's lots of hiding places for cherries. Thanks🙏
@@TheCreativeScaper I have two tanks with no filter/C02, and a lot of plants, just as you show, but i can't keep my rocks algae free. Even if i brush them, they always become green in a month. But that's all, they just change colours, no algae everywhere else in the tank... I maintained betta few years ago, and they were hunting even the Amano shrimps, that's why I asked for your red cherries 😉
Beautiful tank! How is it holding up now? I want to create something like this as a foray into planted tanks, and I’m wondering if this is something long term/healthy for a betta
Hi Tim, Thanks for your comment. It is still going strong, it's super easy to maintain, no ferts, no co2, only water change once a week. My betta also loves it. Feel free to check out my Jungle tank video, where I show a short teaser of the upcoming 6 months Betta update video. 😉💚
There's lots of floating plants to provide him with enough cover. From my experience fish only jump out when stressed out. I also keep the water level a bit lower, just in case 😉
