"It's a little Excessive.. But it'll get the Job Done." Sometimes that's exactly what you need. Great job! Very Interesting Woodwork, Functional and Beautiful.
I am planning on building this desk but instead of a terrarium inside, a small shallow fish tank. I was thinking of putting something small and hardy like a Dwarf Crayfish in there, I think it would look great from a top view and the crayfish would also take care of mold/algae. I'm sure you would have to make sure that the entire tank fixture is even more water-tight and you would have to account for the extra weight of the water. Maybe just 5 gallons of water, or a little more than that should be good and won't add too much weight. Or maybe no live animals in there, just a planted tank, almost like a pond. What do you all think?
This is my favourite one so far, but a flowing stream build would be incredible. Great idea Henry. Please do this build Tanner, and keep up the awesome work 🌱

I've been thinking about this for a couple years, but I would like your thoughts on this project that I would like to soon undertake. My grandfather was the reason that I love working with animals, especially dogs and birds. In his honor, I want to attempt at making a bioactive flight enclosure for small finches and button quail. My measurements would be around 2 ft wide, 6 feet long, and perhaps 3 feet tall, so that each bird would occupy its own niche, the quail being on the bottom. I thought about using tubs on the bottom to obviously hold in the water, soil mixture and plants hardy and safe enough for the birds to use. I also plan on adding wheels on the bottom to move the cage out on nice sunny days. It would all be covered in wire and most importantly be cat proofed. Do you believe this to be too daring of me to attempt? I already keep Japanese quail in outdoor hutches with a run to roam grass while supervised on good days. And I've seen many great outdoor aviaries for finches. Plus, my turtles are in outdoor pens all year round.
