linkin park reaction, reaction to Given Up linkin park reaction, linkin park songs
He could do that 17-second scream live - not all the time, but he did many times!
He does the 17 second scream during their live performance in the third encore session in California. Best live version of this song vocals wise imo. You should check it out!
I absolutely LOVE when reactors are in disbelief at the screams BEFORE the 17sec scream hits them ..I say out loud...my friend, you haven't heard anything yet....
Thank you for the reaction my friend!
Hybrid Theory was 2000, Meteora was 2003 and Minutes to Midnight was 2007. They spend time on their records… quality over quantity.
AOL session dose it live 17 seconds
Does*
Best live version of given up❤
broo react to linkin park given up live rock am ring 2007, you have NEVER heard such inredible vocals, Chester didn't even sound human in a few parts, INCREDIBLE!
it's on my list :D
@@SephPlays cant wait:D
@@SephPlays live in Clarkson better than rock am ring
Didn’t complete the 17 second scream during that live performance
They left nu metal after meteora. The rest of there discography are alt rock, electro rock, rap metal, pop rock and many more. The next album is their most experimental album.
And for Mike rapping, check out "Bleed It Out" from this album
It used to be my Favorite Linkin Park song because of that scream
This is my favorite LP album. “Given Up” is about 15 minutes too short. I love this song.
If you get the CD (maybe on the vinyl, too), the CD has a lyric booklet and each track has some info about how each track took shape. Kinda like the booklet for the Untitled record by blink-182, where mostly each member shared their thoughts on each song and how the song was recorded, and the like.
Always a pleasure to see first time reacts to Given Up. Chester really flexin in there.
Wake just feels like a build up to euphoria when it drops.
Loving your LP reactions, man!!
Btw I recommend you to react to the bonus tracks from this album, which are "Across The Line" and "No Roads Left". The second one is Mike's best singing voice performance to date, imo, and Across The Line is one of my favorite LP songs in general, not only from this album; Criminally underrated one.
I think you'll love reacting to those 2, you won't regret it.
Greetings from Spain!! 😉😉
To answer your question, I'm a metalhead and emo is very similar to metal. Emo loterally means emotion but metal is more focused on anger. That bridge between the two, letting emotion take control, that connects all rock
also mike does some backup vocals which you cant really see or hear in the album version
Hey there Seph 🙋 Just wanted to say real quick I hope you & yours are safe what with storm Babet happening over in the UK 🙏💕
Peace ✌, light 🌞, love 💖, & blessings 🙏 to you & yours & to one & all here as well 💕
Ommgg thank you for this Sammmyyy!! ❤️ Ya same goes with me "STAY SAFE OUT THERE PEOPLES!"
@@SephPlays You are most humbly welcome Seph & yes same with me as well to everyone heart & prayers 💖🙏💕
He does it live
Damn this song is awesome! Also as for him doi9ng it live, he does it better live!
he didnt always do it live, but yes he could do the 17s scream live
There is a song where Chester takes on rap style vocals, followed by Mike singing. "Blackout" from the fourth album, A Thousand Suns.
That album, I recommend hearing it all together because it has a lot of instruments to tie the songs together around a theme.
Seph, if you’re interested, after Meteora, they did a mash-up collab EP with Jay-Z called Collision Course. With that includes a DVD of Linkin Park recording and you can see Chester doing his vocals live in the studio. Just a thought if you were interested in reacting to that EP/DVD. Also, includes a live concert of LP and JZ performing all the songs.
I'll definitely react to it, But i kinda want to get through a few more albums first :D
Live in clarkstoon
Ahah, your reaction 😂
He did the scream live several times. The 1 that most people think of live is Given Up AOL sessions. Others have tried to copy Chester specially for this song but they just can't get the right emotion in their voice to sound as good as Chester.
Mike really doesn't rap on this album so Mike does sing more. Mike did lead on several of the songs on this album. Chester and Rick Reuben (the producer for this album) actually encouraged Mike to sing more on this album because there wasn't much rapping in the songs. Mike at that point didn't have a lot of confidence singing in his singing unlike he did in his rapping. It took both Chester and Mike recording the same vocals for each song for Mike to realize that his vocals were better than Chester's for certain songs.
So we are going to get some mike songs!??? 😍🔥
Just a little correction; Mike raps in two songs from this album: Bleed It Out and Hands Held High.
One of the best of my opinion is the one Live in rock am ring 2007
Linkin Park - Given up live at AOL music sessinos , check it
Sessions*
Meteora was released in 2003, and Minutes to Midnight in 2007, depending on when they started and finished recording, about 3-4 years.
Chester performed the full scream multiple times, like the AOL performance, but usually he broke it into two. And I actually like that better, because I often find the "two-scream" solution gives better screams. Check out the Clarkston 2007 performance for an insane good live performance, better than the album, it's brilliant. That's a two-scream one though, just imo the best version.

I really love Wake/Given Up as an intro. Wake is really beautiful, with great build, and then it gets disrupted by the gritty sound of Given Up, it feels almost rudely intrusive. And then Given Up just leaves you breathless with intensity, especially that shockingly long scream. Fantastic "what the fuck?" start to an album, almost like they really want to tell you "careful what you expect".
Also, thank you for sharing your continued appreciation for Mike ❤ His rapping isn't featured so much in the same way on this album, but I'm really, really interested to see how you like what he does on this album, something for us viewers to look forward to!
Jumping back in this comment to add that there are bonus tracks on this album, "No Roads Left" and "Across The Line", and as someone who wants more Mike, you need to listen to "No Roads Left" at least! ❤
Definitely agree on the Clarkston 2007 performance of Given Up. It is absolutely gut wrenching to watch Chester leave it all out on stage in that performance, but that was Chester
@@laurenhoover6024 Thank you, I don't know if it's at all intended, but it's at least the feeling I get from the album, and I'd say it's fitting!
And you're right, being both emotionally raw and articulate through his singing was just Chester, part of the magic of the guy.
Oh, you already finished Meteora...very fast. Now, Minutes To Midnight 😁
i think you need to look at the reanimation album its between hybrid theory and meteora and it has so new mixes on it you might like
Does he do this live? Yes.
You should react to live aol sessions given up
If you want to listen Chester's rapping, check out "Cross Off"
Listen to Backbreaker by Fit For A King. Ryan Kirby has a 27 second scream that he hits every single time they play it live

It's how i got to know this group to be honest. I reacted to Numb not long after he died :(
Too many pauses …. Shame
If you dont like interruptions this is definitely not the channel for you 😜
@@SephPlaysdon’t listen to the haters my friend! You are a reactor. You are doing Amazing! I love your commentary on these reactions! Keep up the amazing hard work :)
That wasn't even a lot. What are you waffling about? 😂
