Brantley writes and sings his own music as well... He’s one of my favorite artists.. his songs are written about his life... You need to listen to Man that hung the moon, Three Feet of Water, We’re gonna Ride Again and Just as I am..... ❤️❤️❤️
Absolutely LOVE this song!! Reminds me of my pappaw who was a Korean war veteran and passed of cancer. He had the 21 guns blazing and went out fighting 💜
R.I.P. SGT (Doc) james. I miss you brother. I look forward to the day we can kick back and drink a few beers like the good old days! I will never forget the sacrifice you made and the price you paid!
Brennen Richards saw him play that song for his very first time and it was incredible also that was the same night I got to meet him. He is one of my hero’s
Have always loved Brantley Gilbert!!! Its about 2 if his friends, one died in combat and one from cancer!!! Thats a hell of an AMEN!!! I was also in the Army and lost a few friends also. God bless BillyYouSoCrazy!!! ❤❤
Great reaction!! Brantley based both the verses in this song on two guys he knew and had been friends with. He actually either writes or cowrites all of his songs, and actually wrote a couple of Jason Aldeans really big songs.
Billy, Billy, Billy! First, thank you so much for honoring country music and the stories they tell - I was raised on it, and while I appreciate other genres, country is where my heart is. Lastly, once again, thank you so much for your service and fighting for our freedom. It is not unnoticed or unappreciated. My son was a Marine (2004-2008) and will always be - and I will always be a very proud Mom of him and all of our service members. Love your reactions! Especially to country! God bless you kiddo!
Billy, yesterday I went to sign up for the Army and I go next week to take the ASVAB take my physical and get sworn in (if everything goes alright!) Thank you for your service!!! 🇺🇸💙 I don’t have a song for you to react to. but I love love watching your videos!!!
This song was dedicated to his to best friends , one died in service to our country and one died of cancer. Thank you for your service and any veterans or active duty military watching this
Love this. My dad served in WWII and I lost him 6 years ago... My brother served in Vietnam and he passed last December from cancer due to Agent Orange exposure...
I love this song!!! As a military brat who's had people in every branch, both men and women, this song hits home. We lost my Uncle to Agent Orange cancer. It was a long hard battle! We lost my Stepfather to neglect after he got sick due to something he got during his service.
The soldiers funeral, was actually the ceremony for a young man from where I live. Thank you for your service and putting up these videos. I'm a huge fan after just a few days. I like BYSE. It's good to see that what you've been through hasn't jaded you like some. Although I totally understand.
A lot of people treat rap and country like a pariah but it's the sound of the average person, the workin man, and the down troddin. Glad so many youtubers are willing to experience new things. Never let anyone tell you that what you are listening to is wrong. Keep up the love.
Thanks for your service Billy 👍🏻🇺🇸❤️‼️. I was in the Army too. I was even a WAC (Women’s Army Corp) before it disbanded in the late ‘70s 🇺🇸. I like the song and like your reaction.
My ex- husband was with 5th Group Special Forces, and served 3 tours in Vietnam. He is a member of the local VFW Honor Guard, and it seems like he attends at 2-3 funerals a month. He is 71 and still stands straight and tall for his fallen brothers. Thank you to all veterans for your service.
This song makes me think of my Great grandpa, he was a veteran, and he died of cancer. At his funeral, on the way to the cemetery, there were military veterans on motorcycles with us, and almost everyone who wasn't part of the funeral pulled over, and it makes me cry, it's been just over a year since he passed
I absolutely LOVE Brantley! I've met him 4 times now, and he's such an amazing, genuine down to earth man. He certainly is an amazing patriot and loves his country and our vets. Glad to see his music being recognized more with these type of videos! #bgnation
All respects to the people who risks there lives for us I cried to this song and I feel this one alot and thank you for your service And I appreciate each and every one of you guys
First off from me and my family THANK YOU! Thank you for your service and your sacrifice to our great country. You are amazing an you havr made a true fan and follower for life!
Thank for your SERVICE Billy, I have a MARINE that calls me Nana, God bless you for this great video, I just found you, GOD BLESS THOSE THAT DID NOT RETURN , SALUTE TO THEM ALL
If I remember correctly, the second verse is about a close friend of BG’s from high school. The soldier was someone he knew in passing from his hometown. I have been listening to BG since “Country must be Countrywide” was in heavy rotation on the radio. He takes his respect for people who have served and are serving seriously. He also seems deeply effected by the loss of that friend. We are lucky indeed if we are missed that much after our passing.
the solider is BG's best friend's (Josh) battle brother who died overseas right in front of BG's best friend. it tore him up for years. PTSD to the whole nine yards with substance abuse and being unable to handle watching it happen RIGHT in front of him. he finally met the family of Jon, the Soldier, and his mother asked if Jon had died alone and Josh told her "no ma'am, I held his hand the entire time." that healed Jon's family and brought Josh back from the brink.
I'm from a part of the Philippines who loves to listen to Country songs so much...i love the way Americans give tribute to their military...coz they sacrifice alot for their country to be free and hope that the freedom you have will be used to its best...God bless you all out there
This song always gives me chills no matter how many times I hear it. Lost my brother in Kandahar, lost my uncle to cancer and my daddy is a Vietnam vet AND a cancer survivor. It gets better but we’ll never forget
@@berlyn3014 my father passed away May of last year from pancreatic cancer and even when he was sick, the song helped me get through it a little. Very good song and tons of emotional value. Go watch him perform it at the Grand Ol Opry, he was very emotional
Ugh! Brantley Gilbert always gets me. This song was based on true stories from his own life. You should listen to “saving Amy” and “halfway to heaven” both also by Brantley Gilbert, and both also based on a true stories from his own life. And it’s a plus that he’s really nice. I got to meet him after a concert.
For the soldier's that didn't make it back home thank you for your service, for the ones that Made it back home thank you for your service, your our Heroes.and thank you Billy for your service and can you react to the ones that didn't make it back home by Justin Moore
I lost my husband last Thanksgiving, he was 46. His buddies rallied around me, all his friends who were in our wedding, guys he had worked with and toured with that we hadn't seen in years came to help me. I had all these wonderful buddies of his come to help my son and I. Some of them may have only lived 30 minutes away but others came from an entire state or more away for the funeral and came to my home to help. They helped pay bills, they helped me get through in the immediate days after his so sudden passing. This was a song that one of them sent me on FB. The bond of friendship and brotherhood, their love for him as their friend and brother was a balm for me as a widow.
Sir, I am proud to become a new subscriber to your channel. I appreciate that you are showing respect for the military and vets. I am a Marine veteran from the early 80s and I lost one roommate in 1989 in a helicopter crash in Korea, and I lost my best friend in the early years of the War on Terror. They were both like the old saying, " brother from another mother ". It is hard, just like the song says.
I enjoy your channel because of your Country reactions and selections. As you’re witnessing, Country artist are very patriotic...always have been. Yes, Veterans all the way. A lot of veteran tributes from Southern Rock artist as well.
This gives me the feels and makes my eyes leak. And back at you, thanks for doing your part and serving, I did a bit in USAF. Learned my filter wasn't strong enough. So I got out.
So true Billy. I like country because it's a story from the soul. Thanks to you and all of the men and women of our military ❤️. Can't wait to see what you will do for the 4th of July.
Thank you for your service from one vet to another. I lost quite a few buddies in Beirut in 1983 when the truck bombs went off. Just found your channel and love it.

Mr. Billy. I am so glad you had this video. I live in the same home town as Brantley. I have met him several times. I bought his first CD from the local drug store where he was selling them way back at the beginning. Anyway I just wanted you to know that it was really Mr. Loosen in the video at his son's grave. I never met that soldier. But Cory, the one that did beat cancer, I loved that boy. He had a smile that came from his eyes. He died of pneumonia after he beat cancer. That is his real tombstone in this video. I pass it all the time. Brantley did good with this song~ Just thought I'd share.
I really got into country when I was in Iraq and personally met Trace Adkins. He spoke to us, super kind and humbled, he was amazing. He would talk to us before each song. Being overseas and seeing no other artist would come visit, it was always the country artists.
Dude, it's country.. That's what country folk do. Love their country and the people that serve it. Heck, most of them have served it. You'll never see as much homage and respect anywhere as you do with country loving good ole boys. That being said, God bless you for your service sir.
