This is a great song! We played it at my grandpas funeral a few days ago. He was 67 and had cancer, but he was battling hard for 12 years, and I'm proud
My grandpa, a World War Two vet, is still kickin today. Captured 60 Germans, never got shot and never backed down. He is 96 and he still gets around. Broke his hip he still got around slowly. He still drives and will still talk to you like he was 20. Praying he will make it to my High school graduation. 🙏🏼🙏🏼

I lost my older brother Sept 2023... on my baby brother's b-day.
My older brother, all my brothers were Army, just like our dad and grandfather were.
After service, he battled 2 different cancers. He beat them both but ...
Before he died... this song reminded me of him. Today when it came on the radio it really hit home and broke my heart.
This is our first Thanksgiving without him and it hurts me to my core.
I'm thankful that his kids, my nephews, that followed in his footsteps in service are home safe and sound today as well.
One day, someone will find the answer that ends war ... as well as cancer.
Till then we hang on ...
...till the good lord calls us home.

What an amazing video. Had me in tears the whole time. Between my dad being a Marine and I myself battling cervical cancer, this song really hits home. So happy this video finally came out. Great job. Music is my outlet. I am a country singer with a lil bit of a twist and I put all my energy into my music, my son and my disabled mom. I thank God everyday for the life I have. Amen!!!! Just to update: my son is growing up so fast. Cancer has been gone but I've been trying to get on disability for over a year now because some of my other health problems are getting worse and I can't work. I actually miss working but my body can't handle standing or sitting for long periods of time because of my back that I've had problems with since I was 8 years old, and a bunch of other health problems but I'm still fighting, still doing music and I will be putting up stuff on UA-cam soon. My faith in God and Jesus Christ is still strong as it ever was. I can't believe I've gotten over 400 likes. Thank you all for showing support. That means so much to me. I hope everyone is doing good and don't ever give up, keep fighting, I do every day. Bless the men and women who serve our country and bless everyone battling something. Shad Miles Actually my father is still active duty. He's a SSGT in the USMC. He's about to be deployed again, my father has volunteered many of times to fight for our country. But it means a lot that you and other's appreciate what he does. I know God is always by my side pushing me to never give up and I never plan on it. I have too much to live for. My older sister is active military. She was living with me for a while when I heard her screaming in her sleep. "Mayday, help me god help!" I later found she had a Thorazine RX she refused to take. She's of high rank but in the medical field. Nobody medical or otherwise should experience whatever it was that happened to her. Out of an entire military family, I have never experienced that up close. My Amen is my sister Melissa staying home after that and never going into front line duty again since. May she never experience something like that ever again. My Amen lets me keep my sister.

I just went to the funeral home with my mother in law today, to finalize my father in laws funeral, after his passing yesterday afternoon after his 5 month battle of brain cancer... This song is definitely on the playlist for our picture slide show... Thank you so much for producing this gem 💙

my dad was the same way died in 2015 from colon cancer. We were told by hospice that he had 12 to 24 hours the afternoon of March 13th maybe about 3 in the afternoon. That was a Friday. He died EARLY Monday morning March 16th somewhere between 1-7 in the morning.
As a cancer survivor at age 12, this hits pretty close to home. Keep fighting, brothers and sisters.

When my dad passed away they did a 21 horn salute with some of the fire trucks he used to fix and some he sold. I was in his favorite truck and it killed me hitting that horn without him right next to me

I used to go through the town parade in the town ambulance with my dad. The feeling of him not being there too kills me.
This made me cry. Grandpa was a Vietnam Vet in the Navy, army National Guard and a volunteer firefighter. Lost him to cancer 13yrs ago when I was 12yrs old and I still miss him every day. He was my role model my entire life.
my grandpa found out he got cancer for the second time and it was in the same spot and he told the doctors to bring it on he was a Vietnam war veteran. last words were, to all of his grand-kids to not go to the military but a lot of us went to the military anyways
I think of my old man every time I come across this song. He was a Marine and died from skin cancer. I could just imagine combining these two storylines of the cancer diagnosis with being buried with full military honors like my dad was.
I believe this song was written for my son, SSG RONALD LAMBERT EURE. He was still a Cavalry Scout for the Army when he found out in January last year that he had cancer. The Army took great care of him until he died May 16, 2016. They have have taken great care of his family since. He is buried at Arlington with the 21 gun salute. We will see him again!

Not fun to think of good memories, and then think the person suffered for others. And got not a damned thing in return except a coffin. My dog that I've had for 12 years passed away from old age the other day. I took her to the vet where I was with her while she laid on the table with a breathing tube in her throat. While they were unplugging the machine that helps her breathe on her own I was praying over her, then I said amen. That's right, I was praying over her body as her spirit left. Now that's one hell of an amen.

My rock, my best friend, Kathy was diagnosed with lung cancer. I was devastated but had to stay strong for her so I couldn't let my true feelings show. We went to the best doctors and luckily they caught it early and it hadn't spread to her lymph nodes. She was going to have surgery to remove them but they have radiation that can pinpoint it and in 2 weeks it'll be gone. Thank you God!

This song has alot of meaning to me and my family. My mom is on her 3rd battle with breast cancer and back in 2014 i lost my aunt in law to ovarian cancer. I found this song a few weeks before she died. This song is their song. My aunt in law fought til her last breath and my mama is still fighting like hell. I saw BG preform this live a few years ago and i cried the entire time. This song hits me on so many levels. My children associate this song with their aunt and grandmas fight against cancer. Justin Pasternak brother been there done all that 3 times over. Truth be told country was the last thing on my mind. I fought for my brothers and they fought for me. Lost a lot of good people for what seems like nothing. Don't get me wrong I've got my wounds and scars. Demons and insanity at times . But my new born daughter keeps grounded and makes me a better person. God forgive me for the things I did between then and now.
I've fought that battle side by side some good brothers in Afghanistan. Some of us got fucked up and some of us barely dodged death. Even lost a few good men one night. They will never be forgotten. I sure as hell would do it all over again if I could

Awsome song. Mutch respect. I am a USMC Veteran. My dad died 10 years ago. Vietnam Veteran he beat cancer for 10 years before it took him out. He never fussed. Agent orange Is was got him. Multiple cancers, Throat, Lung, Bone Marrow. Toughest Man I ever knew. Even when he was dying. He told me to suck it up. This is not the end but the beginning and he will waiting for me.

HIS COUSIN, JRB, Doing 3rd Tour at Nam, For US ARMY, Shot and Killed as he was being lowered and made his jump out of chopper.... died instantly...21years old. Died EXACTLY 7 days to the day I was born. God took him Home, to Paradise, and I feel like I met him before I was born, at least for 7 days, and bet he set his cousin & I up, when I became of age lol My husband is 13yrs older than me... but I was 21 also when we began dating, so perfectly legal. And perfect couple. Just celebrated our 30th Anniversary on Fri Sept 1st. IF JRB had anything to do with us, I not only Salute You and Thank You for Your Service, but I also Thank You for making sure the two of us met. He misses you, always looked up to you
And he looks forward to seeing you again one day in Our Father's Kingdom. I look forward to meeting you....again?
