This is my Daughters anthem. She's 5 today and was diagnosed with leukaemia at the age of 2. Cancer free since Nov. 2018. It's required that I cry at this song.
The footage at the end is footage of the real Sarah Beth. This is a true story, she was a part of Make A Wish and wanted to meet Rascal Flatts. They were so touched by her that they write this song for her. One of my favorites!
This song was a surprise release on their album. You get to the last song, there was about 30 seconds of dead air then they announced this was a bonus song. Brings tears every time. A few years back I saw an interview with Rascal Flatts, that young lady in the video wasn't just and actress, she really was a cancer patient.
When my son was 4 his best friend was a little girl that lived next door to us. They were always together from morning to night. A tumor was found on her kidney. It was cancer. He went to chemo appts with her and when she lost most of her hair he got a buzz cut to match. My son has been a very amazing person all of his life.
That's just good parenting. Kids always learn from what they see, especially at that age. Good job mom!!!!! Thank you for making this world a better place to be.
I'm a Army Vet also. Six years ago on Good Friday, I go to the E.R. because I was bruising all over and didnt know why. The next day after being transferred to a second hospital three hours away, my Doctor told my husband and I that I had AML Leukemia... Chemo, spinal taps, bags after bags of blood, my hair fell out by the handfuls. Right after the first Chemo treatment, I start hemorrhaging terribly. Dr. told us there was nothing that could be done to stop the blood loss. My daughter and son flew 1200 miles to see me probably for the last time. They flew back home 2 days later. I get a video message from my son showing him getting all his hair shaved off for me. I was so humbled by his act of love. I finally stopped bleeding a week later and more than 50 pints of blood. I won this battle... three years ago I was found to be cancer free. This song means so much to my son and I. 💖💖💖💖💖💖
Billy, thank you for reacting to this song. The first time hearing this song was very emotional. And every time hearing it since then. Love the song and the message...
I'm glad your doing well. It takes a lot of strength and courage to just go through Chemo alone but to have your leg amputated as well is even braver. My family has a high rate of Breast Cancer and the aunts and cousins that got Breast Cancer made the choice before they went for chemo to remove both breasts to which the chemo was shorter as the cancer was not spreading. The saying in my family is 'That a woman is still a women with or without breast and that if your husband loves you with or without breasts.'

The song skin came out around the time I was diagnosed the first time at the age 19. I'm 34 and have been rediagnosed and been doing chemo for 3 yrs now, have 4 kids and this song absolutely still breaks me down.
I'm glad that you react to country music and actually listen to what it says! Country music is what keeps us grounded. It reminds us that there are other people going through exactly what we are going through or worse. Country music ties people together.
Things about Cancer hits me definitely since I went threw it at 21 and 22 I am now 30 happily cancer free. Her boyfriend is a real man shaving his head so she wouldn’t be the only one at prom bald.
One of the nurses I worked with shaved her hair in support of her best friend.. It was one of the most beautiful things I've seen. So much love. I cry every time I see this. I'm at lunch sitting in a parking lot now, crying. So BillyYoureSoEmotional is Not alone
My most favorite song ever!! I played this song on repeat when I had just held my moms hand while she died slowly from pancreatic cancer. Played it all the way from Corbin, KY to Beavercreek, OH. I cried the entire way!!!
Billy, you need to watch 'My Wish' from this group.. beautiful song..gives me (good) tears each time I hear it. Also, I chose this song for the mother/son dance at his wedding.
My grandmother who raised me was diagnosed with lung cancer stage 4 , My sister and I listened to this song on the way home driving to my grandmothers. We talked about what was going on with our grandmother and how she was the strongest person we knew because she wasn't scared the whole time. We cried listening to this song the whole way. She passed away on February 8th a few years ago and we still miss her to this day , She was our family strength when we needed it and you could always talk to her about anything without judgement.
This song has always made me cry from the very first few lines. I love this song so much. And when he takes off his hat, i start bawling. That is real love.
I loved this song when it first came out but hadn't heard it in a long while. I'm Oct I was diagnosed with Breast cancer and went through treatment. When the song got to the hair loss part I broke down because I remember how much it effected me when I lost my hair. Thoughts to all the cancer patients and survivors out there.
This song always touches my heart because i lost my mamaw to cancer. I read somewhere in a country magazine one time that this song was wrote for 1 of their fans who had cancer.
This song eats me alive! I've never gotten through it without crying. It's such a beautiful song. My brother had testicular cancer when he was about 20 and his whole group of friends showed up the day of his surgery with their heads shaved. He's now 45 and has had no other problems with cancer. He was even able to have a son using sperm they collected before his surgery and treatments.
I cry very single time I hear this song! Greatest fear as a parent is getting news like that. I had a scare with my son when he was younger and walking into the Oncology department at the children's hospital scared him and scared me even more. Thank God he was okay, I can't imagine getting bad news. Great reaction!
First time and everytime I hear this song I cry because I lost my aunt/godmother to colon cancer in 1995 she was an amazing woman and I'm glad I got the time I did with her at least I could say I knew her I will always love and miss her
Mr.BillyYouSoCrazy, I have never been diagnosed with any form of all the cancers that stampedes through both my fathers side of his family AND my mothers side of her family, BUT I was diagnosed in 2015 by an eye doctor who specializes in Low Vision, that I was going blind in both eyes. You see, I had detached retina surgery not long after I started the 6th grade and was legally blind in that one eye since. Now I am losing my eye sight completely in both eyes. The Lord might never chose to heal me here on earth, BUT I know when HE calls me home to HIM, I WILL be healed in Heaven😊. It is not fun losing your eye sight, but I CHOOSE to trust HIM. wado, Ann Benson.
It is literally the scariest news in the world to get. I have been fighting cancer on and off for 13 years. I have had 15 surgeries and therapy that makes you feel like you are dying. And about 3 weeks ago the doctor found a new mass in my breast. I have two daughters and i will continue to fight for them. I was only 23 when they first found it and i was expecting my second baby and would not let them abort her to start treatments. This song is inspirational to alot of people that is or has been or going through it. But also inspirational to those who has not but may someday. Thank you Billy for doing this song.
I work in healthcare, and for the most part I try to keep work and personal separate. But I had one patient, she was young, like 24 or something, but she had Leukemia and was always in and out of the hospital. So much so I happened to run into her again on a different day at a different part of the hospital when she wasn't even supposed to see me, I was in a room with a different patient and she happened to get checked in right then in the bed right next door. The thing that stood out to me about her is that when I had her as a patient, despite how sick she is and how miserable it must be to be in hospitals so often she didn't complained to me, she wasn't mean (some patients get really mean because they are sick and are sick of being in hospitals, can't blame them, I understand), she smiled when we spoke, etc... Basically she just seemed super sweet, so it kind of broke my heart to see her there. When I ran into her again, she saw me and gave me that winning beautiful smile and I knew it was her even though it was some time since that time that I saw her last. So with her it's kind of hard for me to just "leave her at work." I think about her often (no, not in a creepy way) and always wish that she can beat it and just enjoy her youth...
@@BillyYouSoCrazy thank you! I have really good days and really bad days. It's not a very well known one but quite a few of us have it. Thank you for the well wishes 💜

This song always makes me cry. My grandma died from cancer and this song always makes me remember her. Shout out to all cancer survivors, those who are currently battling cancer and those who lost loved ones to cancer. GOD BLESS YOU ALL.
My sister begged a dozen doctors across two states to help her because she was in excruciating pain for over a year. They finally took her seriously when her colon ruptured due a massive tumor. Stage four metastatic colon cancer. She was in so much pain because cancer was eating her alive, from her colon, to her liver, to her lungs- while she pleaded for help and doctors treated her like a drug seeker, despite having zero history of taking narcotics. She was fortunate to survive the internal explosion that nearly killed her, but she died less than five months later. My baby sister, a newlywed, my only sibling and best friend, lost the life that physicians refused to save at thirty-four years old.
Most of us listen to this kind of music with our children. I raised 4 sons listening . This has important themes that can start conversations you might not have otherwise . Especially if they love the song.
I would love to see you react to Colin Raye "The 11th Commandment." It's an emotional song so bring your tissues but it's a message that needs to get out as much as possible.
First comment :) Honestly forgot how how sad this song is... my nieces passing is coming up on 3 years . She passed from cancer at the age of 5 .... this song touches my heart so hard....
1st heard this between shows at a theater, over the PA system; I sat there trying to avoid *audibly* crying, which was *not* easy! Years later, and this *still* gets me every time!
Man, i love your reactions to the heart tugging country songs. Country music is so real n for someone that im sure doesnt listen to country music on a regular basis to be able to relate is great bud. Keep them coming
There really is a Sarah Beth. A Group of country artists got together at a childrens hospital. They were introduced to patients and wrote songs about them as a fund raiser. This was Rascal Flatts pick.
I'm a year late with this one, but other my goodness, you are a bowl of mush !!! You had the song figured out with the first note played. Yes he was a man. And you be the man, good tender reaction
i listened to this song on the day i found out my brother had cancer. unfortunately he didn't beat it ;( so i now listen to it as a remembrance of him. i love seeing how billy will react. i never know how he'll react with each video.
in like fifth grade in my english class we were doing this thing where we had to listen to songs and explain the meaning and this was one of the song and the teacher told everyone before that if it makes you sad its ok to cry. and let me tell you half the class cried. really good song but them tears just start flowing..
My 21 year old little brother passed away 5/24/15 from brain cancer. He was diagnosed at 11. He was my best friend. This song always makes me bawl like a baby. Sissy misses you so much, Jordan. 😞💔 Prayers for everyone affected by cancer. 💙🙏

I'm sorry for your loss. :'( I had a family member pass away to cancer as well. And another who recently beat it and hopefully it's all gone.
I was going to recommend this to you on the otherskin video but i looked up the artist and this video came up.
Your reaction made me cry harder. Such a beautiful song.
You would love Martina McBride. She does a lot of these songs.
Rebecca Litchfield go his video list, early on, he’s done a lot of Martina.
Your emotions is part of why i love your channel so much. You're just real. And don't try to hide the realness of raw emotion.
I can't believe I had forgotten Rascal Flatts sang this song. I loved it as a teen even though it made me cry every time (and still does apparently).
Ugh, you always make me cry on our morning coffee date. 💙😊☹
Billy Maaaan... Its country ... Its stories ( mostly sad) ... People who wants stories out... :-)
God Bless America
i listened to this song on the day i found out my brother had cancer. unfortunately he didn't beat it ;( so i now listen to it as a remembrance of him. i love seeing how billy will react. i never know how he'll react with each video.
Love your reactions. Don’t want you to go anywhere. You stay right here & keep doing what you’re doing.
in like fifth grade in my english class we were doing this thing where we had to listen to songs and explain the meaning and this was one of the song and the teacher told everyone before that if it makes you sad its ok to cry. and let me tell you half the class cried. really good song but them tears just start flowing..
My dad and I did this when we found out my great grandpa had lung cancer we kept our heads shaved until the day he passed away
That's so sweet!
As you are finding out, country is more than just twang, it can yank your heart out, too.
I cry every time I hear it. Not sad but as a father if someone did this for my daughter...........😭😭😭😭
Such a beautiful but sad song great reaction
My 21 year old little brother passed away 5/24/15 from brain cancer. He was diagnosed at 11. He was my best friend. This song always makes me bawl like a baby. Sissy misses you so much, Jordan. 😞💔 Prayers for everyone affected by cancer. 💙🙏
