Combined fuel consumption on WLTP Cycle is 55.4 miles/gallon, or 5.1 litres/100km. There is no ability to charge the battery independently of driving the car. If you set off and creep along very slowly the engine may not start, but dedicated EV driving is not possible.
Have they dropped the 1.0 turbo? That was a great engine in the ZS of old. Far, far better than the old 1.5 which I suspect this is still based on. Good to see a strong differentiation from the HS which is far more stylishly designed and has a much more premium interior - it should be given the HS has grown 33% in price. Build quality is different to reliability. Cheaper cars such as Dacia, Aygo X are more reliable and both Renault Group and Toyota approve a much greater percentage of warranty claims.
An Aygo X is not a remotely similar car to the ZS. You will need to spend thousands more to get a Yaris Cross for added reliability. It’s the consumers choice at the end of the day.
Could steal some Qashqai sales, as the latest QQ has moved upmarket and the prices show where Nissan is positioning it. Even the similarly priced cramped Juke, can't seem to compare to the new MG. As a Mk 2 (2020) Qashqai owner, this is tempting especially as a self charging hybrid. The bland white, does it no favours though.
