    Thanks for the review! Just would like to ask your prediction if interior plastics/pleather will stand the test of time.

      It's hard to say at the moment with such a new car, but with the previous ZS, which came out in 2017, they weren't too bad in terms of durability, even if the perceived quality wasn't as high.

    We do like a MG here, I would have thought they might have used the rotary dial for the Auto Box like the MG4 and MG5. Colour looks really good in the rain.

      Yes, I have absolutely no idea why they went for this shape of gearlever, as the previous automatic ZS had a more conventional one! Thanks again, sir!

    What does that battery in the boot do??

      I suspect the car may have two batteries, but I could be completely wrong.

    Lovely inviting interior. Plenty of headroom and legroom. Plenty of power.
    The Warranty would be far more appealing if it would stretch to 100,000 miles though. Sorry to give a negative because I do really like these cars.

    • @lloydvehicleconsulting
      @lloydvehicleconsulting  2 місяці тому

      Yes sir, a spacious and well equipped upgrade to the previous ZS, although it is more expensive now. 20,000 miles of extra cover for the warranty would not go amiss, either.

    I really liked this MG Joseph two observations of course not going to be sold in America also it look a lot like the latest Nissan Rouge good review thank you best regards Andy Allen.

      The Qashqai/Rogue is a bit of a bigger and more expensive car than this one. I think that it is actually two segments up from a ZS!

      Yes, the Rogue Sport would be closer in size.

      Sir, I don't think that these have even been out for a month, so I was very privileged to have had a go in one. Thank you very much indeed as always for watching and commenting!

      @@lloydvehicleconsulting sir, I was just pondering these new SUVs whilst busying myself with one of my cars that we cannot talk about, and it got me thinking...have we had a beige leather interior recently in a recently released car?

      @lloydvehicleconsulting  3 місяці тому

      @@pizzalover3 , sir, have a look at some photographs of the optional tan interior on the MG HS... I would most certainly prefer one of those over the very dark standard interior!

      I am a bit undecided at the moment. I think that I would need to drive the rumoured cheaper non-hybrid version to be able to make a conclusive decision.

    This is MG learning….
    Yea this is turning into a very interesting & competitive car.
    The ride over the bumpy road seemed from what we can see, to be good.
    They could easily make de-tuned version with around 120 bhp which would satisfy many of us.
    Power isn’t everything. I currently got less than that but it’s irrelevant right now because road works on every major road around me.
    Only thing obvious I could find fault with is the steering not having adjustment for reach.
    This sorta thing would be my ideal, but is there any point in going for hybrid…should we go straight to full EV?

    • @lloydvehicleconsulting
      @lloydvehicleconsulting  3 місяці тому +2

      There is a rumour that there will be a standard petrol version without the hybrid system coming at some point soon. As you say, most people probably don't need the extra performance of this Hybrid+ model. The ride and handling seemed good, better than the previous car, although that wasn't too bad, actually.

    Problem is the mg brand looks good value but if the customer service and parts availability are not there it all becomes pointless

      Well, in less than a week, there will be a Very Vague Vlog going live on the channel talking about this very subject.

      Audi parts can take months to get. I think a lot of car companies have issues with parts, especially when the parts get delayed in China.

      I think the only thing I can say to that is to suggest that you watch a video I made earlier this year entitled "Very Vague Vlog CLXV (165): What Is Happening at MG Motor UK?", which will put your experience in a bit of context, I think,

    The Dacia Duster and Citroen C3 Aircross/ Vauxhall Frontera are much better. Somehow this feels older than the outgoing car. That gear selector is a bad copy of the Audi Q8 e-tron one.

    • @lloydvehicleconsulting
      @lloydvehicleconsulting  3 місяці тому +1

      Haven't tried the new Frontera or the new Duster yet. I don't think that it's words than the outgoing model, though. I have driven an awful lot of those over the years. Thank you very much indeed for watching and commenting.
