- This is my second video all about my Honda Hornet 900.
I talk through what i have changed, how i reduced the bikes weight, how it rides and a few 0-60mph tests.
The hornet 900 or 919 in America is the bigger version of the popular cb600 hornet. In my opinion it’s quite the bike.
Classic lines, beefy engine, super bike noises and a great usable bike - Авто та транспорт
I’ve got a side exit straight piped style exhaust with a Power Commander on my Hornet 919, bike is an absolute weapon, power wheelies like crazy
My first street bike was back in '02. It was a matte black Honda 919. Loved it.
I properly loved this bike.
I thought these 919s looked great with undertail pipes until I saw the 4-1 conversion. Great weight savings you got and since I've lost 29kg of beer fat in the last year, I should be well suited to this classic old Honda when I find the right one and make your mods.
Yeah I really enjoyed this bike, I’ve got a z1000 now but there are some things that Honda just got right with this
CBR900RR d/pipes do same thing (but better).
sounds awesome
Cheers man!
I got a Hornet last month, and its amazing. I really enjoy the double exhaust, but that 8kilos are tempting. Mine has an inverted fork from CBR aswell.
Nice, some fresh front forks wouldn’t go a miss. I’ve dropped down to a hornet 600 now to see what the other comments were saying about the weight. And tbh, I feel the 900 is a much better bike.
@@InitialB i really enjoyed it, its my first bike, i got my license on an er6n, but this feels miles better in every aspect. and even the stock exhausts sound amazing, little quiet but amazing.
u don't need to do a review we all know these bikes are amazing
It’s strange though, most professional reviews don’t really rate them . But I loved it and I think 90 percent of people do too
Nice one ben
Cheers man!
super cool bike... mine has like 78000 miles, still running sharp, burns some oil but that doesn't bother me...
Cheers man. Yeah engine should be good for 100 no problem. I’ve seen blades with that so the hornet shouldn’t be an issue
great set of vids just a quick question currently on an 07 600 hornet but feel it lacks low/mid range and looking at 900s what has your experience been in terms of 600 vs 900?
Well I’ve had both and found the 600 very lacking in the mid. The 900 has a brilliant pull in the mid. Feels a much bigger and more powerful bike. I loved the 900 but never gelled with the 6
600s? 2005/2006 were the best Hornet 600s. Carb'd and really nimble. The 900 got loads more grunt and are better balanced, but the 600 (in those years) are very capable. After 2006, Honda ruined the "Hornet".
do you get vacuum leaks at the slip joints of ur exhaust? i get a slight leak no matter the position or tightness of the clamp
I had a very slight leak when cold than goes when hot
Hi mate great video. Love the new exhaust. Thinking of doing the same myself. Have you still got the belly pan, if so do you want to sell it me?
Hi mate. I gave the belly pan away to a friend sorry.
Yeah I enjoyed making it and I was dead happy with the noise!
No worries pal. Thanks anyway. Did you remove the baffle when you went out riding?
@@hughthompson6141 haha absolutely. I used two scrap vtr1000 link pipes to make the new link pipe. But really anything would work
I've just bought one. Is it hard to change to a single exhaust?
Easiest way is buying a cbr900 downpipe and side pipe
@@InitialB thank you. Can't wait to get the bike
Nothing to do with the bike but what jacket are you wearing at the beginning?
It’s just called “gear” uk brand leather jacket.
@@InitialB thanks. It’s hard to find a jacket that doesn’t make you look like a power ranger or cafe racer.
@@jayflash2035 yeah fully agree with you there. This is just a decent thick but plain jacket.
Did you sell the tank cover just out of interest sir?
I did, didn’t fetch much unfortunately
@@InitialB Thank you -hornet looks great
How much oil do these consume,is it that bad ?
Mine didn’t consume any
Bet that’s the first set of scales you’ve ever used 🤣
Haha yes it is
He won't be using them again 😤🤣
