I got one. An 11. I can’t believe I’m saying this. But I bought it from carvana. Not a bad price It’s been a delight. But I need to do the lightbar and led conversion on rear lamps
Early 2012 Saab went belly up. I own a 9-5 like this one and love it. In 2014 NEVS owned Saab and made about 420 Saab 9-3’s were in Trollhättan. After that it was more or less done. The NEVS 9-3 has the same engine as the 4 cil version of the 9-5 (220bhp) and was only available in black and silver.
Sorry to correct, but no NEVS vehicle ever had a combustion engine. GM would not allow it per a ruling in international court when all the Saab mechanical patents were sealed. All NEVS are fully electric, that's the EV part.
Reminder that Saab would've dug themselves into the ground long before GM did. The only reason Saab survived for as long as it did is because GM funded it.
GM could have learned a lot from Saab to not make their cars so crappy, but they value profit margins more than making a car to be as good as it can be. When this car was made GM was making some of the worst quality vehicles ever but this thing still looks premium.
To their credit, Saabs are not nearly as much of a GM product as Pontiac and Saturn. If anything, perhaps more in common with the GM Vauxhall products of Europe, but the Saab engineers were notorious for being instructed by GM HQ to build their cars on Vauxhall platforms and then going rogue building the closest thing to a "real" or pre-GM Saab from the ground up, always with the highest safety and innovative quality standards they could achieve with GM breathing down their necks to cut corners and costs. In the end, that along with the global economic crisis caused by the greedy US stock exchange and mortgage scams (watch "The Great Short") drove one of the greatest automakers into oblivion. Quite a shame and glad I still own my 6sp manual 9-3 convertible which is the most fun car I've ever owned.
Interesting, that little hum hum hum you did to yourself as you exited the car, is near exactly the same hum hum hum I do to myself in similar situations.
I have one and it’s my daily driver. The body looks so sexy particularly from the back (those curves). The problem I’m having is getting parts for it but it still looks modern to me. Having a really hard time getting a windshield right now
Det car is still the best car in the world to drive to travel on long distance I hav now Mercedes E clas and it is peace of skit on the long distance travel and yes det ismore advanced technology in Mercedes but saab is just a king
I had to replace mine at 175k miles. The timing chain broke. I was really good on oil changes. I was a lie to find a brand new 2.0t petrol engine (came with a new turbo too) for $3200. They’ve since jacked it up to $5k tho lol
That car still looks sexy in 2024. And the Aero version feels like a 2024 car, except for the fact that (thanks God) it doesn't have those cheap plastics and made-in-China tablets everywhere
I have one. I drive it more than my Range Rover. Drives like a brand new car I have 170k on the engine. Wouldn’t sale it for 30k. Feels like a mini airplane ✈️
This was such a sexy car when it came out, really brought Saab into the new age. Sadly a short lived one
It stil is sexy!. Have mine in white and it looks so good still. Get comliments everytime i park it somewhere
@@barryschalkwijk9388 agreed! It’s a modern classic collectible now
Love Saabs! I got 375K miles on my 2009 Saab 9-3! Looking to buy this model now!

@@joecutro7318there are Saab made by Nevs with SAAB name in 2014 and only with the 220 cv 4 cylinder
@@Francesco9-3 News to me! 😊
Saab is so unique in interior design, the old steering wheel was beatiful! I wish they were still around...
One of the best design in a luxury car!!!....base reliability GM and fantastic job from Saab!!!
I love SAAB and Volvo, GM ran SAAB into the ground (like they do everything else).
Reminder that Saab would've dug themselves into the ground long before GM did. The only reason Saab survived for as long as it did is because GM funded it.
I hate gm too 😘
@@christopherperry2787No, Ford owned Volvo
GM wanted to put their spin on saab, but Saab said no and that it ruin the cars legacy.

2014 9-3 was built by a different owner.. the last saab was the 9-4x together with this car
I see a Saab, I press like
That deserves a like
My 2011 gets questions at the pump and grocery stores. More interest than my NSX. You better have kept this car i is really minty
I see alot of the heritage of my 9000s in the interior of that latest model
It is very good. However, 9000's are in a different league. Had both.
Это лучшая машина в мире. И американцы и японцы и все её любят. Больно что этого производителя больше нет. Будь проклят GM:/

I think I heard the new glass is no longer available. Sucks. Mine has 92k. I need rear lamps done. But other than that it is as new
Love the Saabs! Wish I never got rid of mine
always wanted one. Great video
In Queensland Australia, the maximum penalty for driving a car with a headlight out is (converted to US) = 1787 us dollars.
What did you do regularly to reach 250k miles

i am still driving my dads 2001 SAAB 9-5 and boy do i get some looks lol
Love the look of the 99-01 9-5. Especially the taillights
The 9-5 was the last new model of saabs released, the 2014 saab 9-3 was produced by nevs but killed quickly due to new investers don't liking the car

The reason this car failed was it was basically an Opel Insignia for twice the price, while the interior felt cheaper than in the Opel.
