It's always a good idea to quiz the customer on prior repairs and issues. It could possibly be a good indicator to the problem that's currently happening.
Please someone help. I have no friends or family. My car is all I have. It's where I sleep and how I make money. My car is misfiring but it has spark. My radiator broke on the freeway and it stalled with no water. Please someone help.
Your welcome! You may have caught Michael saying the customer replaced the intake gaskets a few weeks prior the it beginning to misfire. On these Fords when the intake gaskets leak coolant, its common for the coils and boot to come in contact with coolant. Even when recommended to replace the coils and boots because of this could add several hundred dollars to an intake gasket replacement. Customers usually opt out if there is no misfire at the time of gasket replacement.
I have a 2007 Ford-150 5.4L king ranch and getting a P0305 code. I replaced the spark plug, coil pack and fuel injector and still getting the code after I cleared all codes. What else can it be?
i have a p0305 and the sparkplugs and the wires and the ignition coils are brand new they said i have low compression could this mean i need to change the fuel injector
I have a 2006 ford expedition p0305 cylinder 5 code i remplace the spark plugs and i switch the coil from cylinder 5 to 1 and i still get the same cylinder 5 what do you have an idea what it is?
My mecanic fix my thermostat but when he took out the antifreeze it spilled all over my spark plugs now I have a misfire 5 I'm not happy I'm worried he messed it up an he wants me to drive it back to his shop I'm literally 45 min away from the mecanic what can I do
I've seen a lot of people talk about replacing coil packs. I don't think I've seen anyone go into an existing coil pack and clean the contact where the top of the spark plug spring makes contact. It's not easy to clean and I'm not sure if it can be done properly. Maybe I'll let you know after I get finished doing it on my own. what I'd like to know is how to test these to find out if the coil pack is actually good or if it's just that corroded contact at the top of a spark plug port or whatever you call that Channel Through the head.
Question I replaced my coilpack and sparkplug In cylinder number five and also replaced fuel injectors and replaced valve cover gasket and I am still getting code po305 . Can it be I still have oil inside # 5 cylinder
I have an 04 Lincoln aviator. I've changed all the plugs, and the coil and the fuel injector in cylinder 5 and still the check engine light comes on and flashes while I'm ideling. Any helpful tips?
Jessica Burwell I know this is old but he clearly stated that the intake manifold WAS leaking engine coolant but the intake gasket was replaced but the damage to the plug boots from the old leak was not addressed at the same time....
I have a question I had a misfire in the p0305 check engine light was flashing I changed all the spark plugs checked the field injectors using omms the spark plugs and i unplugged the battery for a few hours and the check engine light was off but I still idle rough what could be my problem if the check engine light went away I drove the car for almost 30 miles and it didn't come back on I have a 2009 ford taurus limited 3.5l v6 I'm thinking it could be a coil pack how would I go about testing those
they make a boot kit, you can clean contact very easily, and if you are not going to go through the process of bench testing to verify failure of the coil then you are lazy. Also if the boot is soaked in coolant you have now just masked a problem temporarily. curing a symptom for a little while is not how you properly diagnose and correct mechanical failures.
Have a 2006 explorer and it keeps blowing coil packs and blows a fuse any ideas what's causing it? Ground maybe? Don't know where to start looking any advice appreciated
Moist on spark plug rubber boot. I has same problems. I fixed it on my 2011 ranger 2.3. I see your video engine is clean that mean someone wash that engine. That cause missing fire. I like to keep engine clean free of dirty engine. I put red glue around wire set put in hole in spark plug to keep out of water. No more missing fire.
if you know that. @3:20 .. why just not start replacing the whole coil pack and boot, stop causing more issues to happen. im here because I have a PO305 code, I had all plugs and coils change about 500 miles ago, and also have a tapping noise on the passenger side head, idk it kind of sound like an exhaust leak also. idk these dam fords. mine is a 2002 f150 5.4

Thx for info. Might have to do this for my Ford. Got a P0305 code
Glad to help
Nice work , experience is one hell of a time saver! Thanks
Got same code on 2015 Ford explorer p305 and also open injector code. Replaced the coil and still kinda acts funny when going over 50mph..?
Did you ever figure it out?
i have a p0305 and the sparkplugs and the wires and the ignition coils are brand new they said i have low compression could this mean i need to change the fuel injector
Buen día compa vi tus Videos y me susto tengo una también 2015 pero es 4x2 pero tiene el código p0305 que dice que es un misfire pero de energía

soder the spring to the two connectors on the CP, if only replacing the spring and boot, if the ohms/thresholds of the COP is within Spec per Tech Man
Great job dude!!
Thanks!
Same thing my 2006 ford f150 is doing right now i replaced the coil still doing it
Question
I replaced my coilpack and sparkplug In cylinder number five and also replaced fuel injectors and replaced valve cover gasket and I am still getting code po305 . Can it be I still have oil inside # 5 cylinder
What was the outcome?
I had a misfire on cylinder 7 on my 03 F150...changed all the plugs AND coil packs. Now, about 2 weeks later, I have a misfire on cylinder 5. Wtf?
I have an 04 Lincoln aviator. I've changed all the plugs, and the coil and the fuel injector in cylinder 5 and still the check engine light comes on and flashes while I'm ideling. Any helpful tips?
BMo DaWg buy a scaner
Could be a bad valve, does the car need water often?
Clean throttle body
Had one in my bay with the same problem today... was a bad p.c.m
Bad compression on that cylinder, bad valve or lifter
what about the moisture? You didn't explain how the boot got wet. hmm....
Jessica Burwell
I know this is old but he clearly stated that the intake manifold WAS leaking engine coolant but the intake gasket was replaced but the damage to the plug boots from the old leak was not addressed at the same time....
Jessica Burwell it cold have been moist from just combustion which is normal
Jessica Burwell or just exterior moisture

Alonzo Knight you can't just replace that and forget about it

thank you for this video help me a lot thank you
Intake gasket you mean head gasket?
Great help!!! Guess i needed #5 cool pack, for 2002 FORD WINDSTAR
janice reedy not cool pack its called ignition coil
Why wouldn’t you check the plug when you had the coil out
how could I fix a low compression on my coil #7
Have a 2006 explorer and it keeps blowing coil packs and blows a fuse any ideas what's causing it? Ground maybe? Don't know where to start looking any advice appreciated
Jessica Riffle p.c.m seen this problem multiple times

You ever figure out the issue?
@@gregatron4528 No I gave up on it
@@gregatron4528 No I gave up on working on it
yeah but in 3 months it happens again 99 ford explorer
Emily Baer maybe spark plug
thank you it help me!
Thank you
Who was confused "Get money"? Whether you like it or not these are called coil packs by all manufacturers, not ignition coils.
I hate impact power tools For small jobs
I cringed as he done that 🥴
I got a p0305 after I changed my antifreeze
I have this code I put new motor
I changed the spark plug and coil and still a misfire
Same
These "dumb" coils are so easy to diagnose, simple two wire Ford COP. Current ramp shows a failure 99% of the time...
This won't solve my problem since I have a constant misfire.
No sound
I don’t think is me but there’s how are
Ford junk!!!
