Woo Hoo, I did it! I've lived in the Seattle area for over 35 years and typically eat Teriyaki once a week. I started cooking at the beginning of the year (age 63) and have tried to make teriyaki as good as I can buy but failed. With that said, your video and recipe brought me success. Sauce, chicken, dressing all as good as most Teriyaki shops. Now can you teach me how to make spicy chicken teriyaki! Please? Can't wait to do more of your recipes. Thanks again and take care....
My friend's and I got through school back in the 70's/80's on Toshi's. You could get a half grilled teriyaki chicken, rice and salad with that awesome sesame mayo dressing. All for only $2.50. Another great place was Hana on Broadway. Their sauce was amazing, not to thin, barely thick and juicy grilled chicken. We used to a box of rice with teriyaki sauce for .50 cent. I miss those days. Thanks for the flashback.
DUDE THANK YOU. From an ex-Seattlelite who has lived around Asia for the last decade, you just can't find it like this. I'm gonna make this this week. Will report back.
yessir! I will definitely say most sauces here are thicker, i personally prefer mine on the looser end - make sure you use a cornstarch slurry if you like it thick!
I have never clicked into a video so fast!!! I grew up in Seattle eating Teriyaki and was so sad when I realized it was a Seattle thing that CAN NOT be found anywhere else. Everyone else’s is soupy, not grilled, and just a major disappointment. Thank you. Now if you get Gary Payton or Shawn Kemp in your next video you will be my hero forever.
The realest most authentic cooking channel by far, thank you for the recipe brother keep doing what you do! 🙏🏻 I love how you show the cleaning process as well and getting down and dirty with it. Most UA-camrs Iike to show the beauty side of things , but life and cooking isn’t always like that, you gotta clean up after you cook! Haha much love! Stay safe
WOOOOW👍Superb! We love it. Respected friend we really enjoyed your video from start to finish.🙂Stay blessed!👍Keep it up!🙂God bless you abundantly forever 🙂🙂Enjoy amazingly blessed week 🙂🙂Stay happy and well protected.🙂🙂
Awesome video!! Cant wait to make this. What brand soy sauce are you using? They all tasts so different which will affect the flavor profile of the sauce
Is it true that the UA-cam algorithm gives videos a better ranking if you watch all the way to the end? If so, I'm short-changing you because at 6:04 I don't think I can watch another two and a half minutes of watching you eat... It's outro for me.

Amazing!! True Seattle Teriyaki.
I love spicy chicken teriyaki - would love the recipe if you got it!
Drizzling am little of the salad dressing on the chicken is the only way to eat Seattle teriyaki properly. The best.
