    I’ve been knitting for a handful of years now and the best way I have found to not overcrowd your needles is to use a round knitting needle. Basically, two needles joined by a long rigid string. I use it to make blankets.

  • @AddictedToKH

    A smol warning from someone that used this exact yarn to knit a DECORATIVE throw blanket that's barely touched or used: It pills like nothing you've ever seen! You so much as look at it and it disintegrates. The yarn is spun so loosely that the tiniest bit of friction causes it to cling to the nearest fibers; if you pay attention, you can see the halo of fuzz as she's knitting. It'll turn into a fluffy mess probably on your second wear and lose all the beautiful knit texture, and forget about ever washing it!
    If you plan on recreating this cardigan, though, don't be discouraged! Find a yarn you love that's labeled "super bulky" or "super chunky" (look for the number 6 listed as its "weight"), buy twice as much, and hold two strands together. It'll behave like her split strands and won't pill even half as much. Happy knitting!

      Thank you so much for this information 😻. Well I am a beginner and I really want to knit this. But I can't find needle size no.19 but I do found 17. So if I take 17 no. Needle and quite thick yarn. So will I able to make this cardigan. Please tell me🥰

      Actually came down here to warn about this yarn! I forget the exact weight of this particular yarn, but you'll probably have luck with super bulky (6) with two strands held together. You'll need twice as much as you think, but it'll still be worth it. Yarn this thick pills like crazy!

    • @olgahein4384
      @olgahein4384 2 роки тому

      It's actually a great beginners project, you have literally the 2 most basic stitches. And doing it the european way (or continental style) makes it pretty fast, especially with such thick yarn. Also, the way she knits, is what my elementary teacher called 'the lazy style' and my grandma called 'speedknitting' (you can actually barely use it for anything else except the way she did, basic stitches and flat, doing it round would give you twisted stitches, but those are details).
      I suggest to do a test run first though. Maybe get some thinner cotton yarn and thinner needles, and try to do just a few square pieces, you can use it as a coaster, or cleaning cloth, or for dishwashing, etc. Those can be not as perfect, as long as they don't fall apart. I still use my first crochet try out as a washing cloth for my face.
