    To calculate how i divide the sts for the raglan i like to divide the total number of stitches by three (48/3=16) and then divide the result by two to figure out how many sts i have for the sleeves (16/2=8). It’s the same but its seems easier to calculate so I’m leaving it here in case anyone thinks the same!

    • @minigru.studios
      @minigru.studios  Рік тому +1

      hello!! yes alternate increase & knit rows for the raglan increase portion :) & it depends what yarn & needles you’re using! if you’re doing a looser gauge then it might be tricky to avoid little holes due to inconsistent tension! if it bothers you a lot then switch to a tighter gauge (check the recommended needle size on your yarn label!) hope this helps!

    • @minigru.studios
      @minigru.studios  Рік тому

      I think it's birch! I just like to use the winder because they make center pull cakes so the yarn doesn't roll around when you use it! hope this helps :)

    • @minigru.studios
      @minigru.studios  Рік тому +1

      when doing the portion of the sweater that is raglan increases, you will switch off increase rows and regular rows until you get to the length you want the sweater to come down on your arms (before tying off the sleeves) check out the section at 10:20 ("measuring on body/switching color") where I explain how to determine how long to do it for. Then once you tie off the sleeves, you'll be doing just regular rows until the sweater is the length you want. hope this helps!
