Great looking Overland show, really nice group from Canada. Nice that Xpedition Overland made a showing. Hardly ever encounter overlanders on the main roads, but connect with them in the outback.
BREATHTAKING BEAUTY COLORS SCENERY VIEWS VIDEO ! LOOKED LIKE AN AWESOME TIME & GLAD YOU'RE MAKING GOOD FRIENDS AS YOU JOURNEY ON YOUR WAY ! THANK YOU FOR LETTING ME TAG ALONG WITH YOU ON YOUR JOURNEY ! BE SAFE ! HAVE FUN ! GOD BLESS YOU ALWAYS ON YOUR JOURNEYS ! ENJOYED !
19:50 Hey I know that spot! It was a total washout the previous year. You were there just a few days before we were! My son and I did this portion, over July 4-5. We were in a topless and doorless two door JK at the time. That was a mistake I will never make again. Forest fires mean no trees mean nothing but silt and dust. It took two days to wash out the Jeep and ourselves. We had a blast!
That was awesome!! Wish we would have clued in that you were there, would have stopped by and said hello!!! BTW - great shot of my 3rd gen and trailer at 1:31!!! Best wishes for your safe travels @rocknoverlanding #rocknoverlanding
Awesome video as always Chris! Hopefully we will cross paths one of these days in The Smoky Mountains or up north! Looking forward to meeting you and also the 410Expedition crew one day. 👍👊💥
It’s cool I was just re-watching us and 7:51seconds my son and I have a cameo. As well as my jeep being parked behind your jeep during your closing monologue. Hopefully get to be there this year big? Keep up the great work
Hee Chris, nice video again, i think you need a winch for the fallen trees you wil find allong your way op in to the mountains, hope you find a good place for your tires .... safe yourney.. from the Netherlands Europe.
This was an awesome episode! I am located in Redmond, WA just outside of Seattle and I have been looking through some fire trail maps I have collected over the year, and some of them covered the areas you explored. I will have to drive out that way sometime! I can't wait! Beautiful views and an awesome video once again! Keep it up Chris!
I saw your jeep at NWOR but you weren't with it so I couldn't say hi. I have been to several of the places that you went too in this episode and its cool to see you checking them out. Your right to be wary of the late night walk throughs, a lot of thieves out late in the hills. A couple years ago while camping in Liberty, Wa we had a late night visitor. That visitor almost met the business end of my dog. The campers about 150 feet away did not have a dog and got a bunch of mining equipment stolen. My new piece of equipment I setup at night while camping is a good trail camera so I can see who or what might be walking by.
Old tech: Take a string and a few empty cans tied to them. As the string gets pulled by their boots, rattle, rattle, rattle, and now the dog has a job to do. Now its time to grab the base ball bat and help the dog. For defensive purposes only of course. Stay safe.
that was a lot of people, i was glad when you got out of there. spotting? well better to spot than not. it was nice to have you out and alone, all to ourselves again. you changed an air filter, you can do a tie rod end too. likely need ball joints and drag link ends too. check all your bushings on your control arms and trac bar, check the welds on the trac bar bracket.
I enjoy your videos and have subscribed to your channel for quite awhile. I find myself anxious to get your weekly videos more than anything in the mail. I live in eastern Tennessee at the foot of the Great Smokey Mountains (part of the Appalachian chain as you probably know being from Pennsylvania). Keep on the trails and be safe, especially when overlanding alone!
Hi Chris, Met you at NWOL rally. I am embarrassed that you have already seen more cool trails and spots then i have. Just the motivation I need to get out there thanks.
You had a casual encounter with the expedition overland team and didn't mention it?? Anyway love your channel Chris. Keep them coming! Recently discovered and I'm catching up to your most recent ones. Great content 👍
North Cascades area is bear territory (even a handful of grizzlies remain), have you modified your food prep or storage for these areas? Safe travels...
“You’re killing me Smalls!” Ya gotta stop cooking, eating, or doing anything with food, on, or around, your toilet! LoL

It appears that the parking enforcement person failed to circle AM or PM, making this an incomplete citation. You might be able to contest the ticket on those grounds. Good luck!
@@Nunyabizn3ss Not usually. Most would ask you to contact their supervisor to lodge a formal complaint about that parking limitation. They tend to follow the law, as that is their job. The one area I see parking enforcement officers become more opinionated and emotional is handicap parking. They truly love giving citations to people that do not have a disability and park in those spots.
How many miles do you have on the BFG's? I see there is an alignment issue on the front but all the tires are very warn. I thought you got them last fall. I know they usually last a really long time so I would say you are putting a lot of miles on your rig which is awesome.
Looks cold up there with all those jackets. I was up there a month ago (Chelan Butte area) and was sweating my ass off...I think I'd take the cold honestly. Love the video, thanks for sharing! By the way, what's that water bag you have with the shower handle on it called? I need something like that! I can see it on your bumper (and previous videos) at 21:19.
Very nice video. Your videos are so simple. No music. No special effects. No drone shots. But still turns out interesting. That is remarkable. What software do you use to edit your videos? Do you have a gopro 6? What camera do you use often to shoot most of your videos? I leave on my Summer Road trip in 2 days. Heading to Vegas, then Utah to all 5 parks, Moab for offroading, then hitting the road to Ouray, Colorado for some more hardcore offroading. Was thinking I would meet you on the way, but does not seem possible.
Chris - sent you an email about a shop for your front end work if you need it! It’s on your route ;) Great channel man. Just discovered and subscribed.
The biggest threat when out on an adventure is always the two legged predator .. That is the main reason I am always armed and have a dog .. Thieves are cold hearted predators and have no soul as they prey on others .. Sending one running off with their tail between their legs and a fresh load in their underwear is an enjoyable experience that can be shared around the camp fire ..
I just found your series, but it looks interesting. I can relate, in that I have a 2014 Wrangler with the same color and enjoy car camping (but am mostly a mountaineer). I live in Bellevue, so you could have your parents FedEx your passport to my address if you like, in that it sounds like you're in this area next week, getting tires, etc. IM me if that works for you. I'm an iamjake patreon but maybe I should switch.
Just found your videos, great content, really like how you keep things simple and straightforward. Awesome JK too, what top do you have on it? The sliding rear windows look cool, my pup would like those. Safe travels, man.
I'm not sure what made me think of it, but there would seem to be opportunities where someone could take advantage, or event rob your site. what, if any occurrences have you heard about or experienced. I could even imaging accidentally coming across hidden marijuana farms with booby traps. Growing up in the NE along the Appalachian mountains, there isn't really enough remote area for that sort of thing, but I have heard of those types of farms in national parks out west, due to their size and remoteness. Anyway, it might be a good topic to cover; "security when overlanding, common sense precautions, and when to follow your instincts and back away."
to be honest... If you didn't say it was out of focus I don't think I would have noticed... I think I was looking at the scenery more... and that was in focus (I think)
Having no sign where you parked should get tour ticket removed if you contest it. As a police officer myself I would have not given a ticket if you parked in front of a post that has no sign.
Oh and get the lifetime alignment from Pep Boys if you have one up there. Its not 2 or 3 alingments for 200.00 Its unlimited for as long as you own your vehicle. And the only worthwhile thing pepboys sells. Do alift, they realign it. Wreck it and rebuild it, they realign it. 189.99
Great Vid... Why in the world do you want to go to Seattle ? It's a mess there, with traffic and bad roads and gird lock freeways. I don't even go up that way. Get your rig fixed in Tacoma or Olympia... really I live here... go south of Seattle, or go around Seattle north.
Dude, Check out Tirerecappers.com. They are remolds (not ot be confused with retreads) but some of the best tires Ive bought yet. 4-31's for 400.00 with free shipping......Thats 100.00/tire! and they have a good rep too. They claim its a mud terrain, but its setup like a BFG allterrain style pattern (not identical). about 1500miles per 32nd of tread depth hwy. I was really pleased with mine, and aside from being sponsored for tires, you wont find a deal like that anywhere else.
No disrespect to our wonderful neighbors to the north, but please fly the American flag with your flag, it’s only being respectful. I would never fly the American without flying the beautiful Maple leaf in your country or any other country. P.S. My grandparents were dual Canadian/ US citizens, so not a dig on our Canadian friends.
Dude!! You dont take ANY blame for yourself. We the tax payer pay through the nose to have people put up signs all over this country telling us what we can and can not do. Looks to me like another case of someone hiring incompetent employees again. Protest just a little at least man.
Your channel is one of the highlights of my UA-cam week, Chris!!
You are living the dream. I found your channel when I did a search for Alu Cab and your Toyota videos came up. Now I'm hooked.

Oh, man I literally LAUGHED AT LOUD at the comment "despite the rustic materials the ergonomics are spot on" LOL 31:19
Thank you for all the effort you put into making these videos. It shows! Another great video!
Your such a cool cat Chris...thanks for the cool video....
Wow, Thanks for the shout out Chris! Happy holidays to you, and the jeep life! Maybe we will see you on the road one day!

Chris, you need a little metal rack to slightly elevate the pizza above the skottle. More oven, less carbon :)
you're like the Survivorman of Overlanding channels..love it

Good work, as usual. Was pretty excited to spot my East Coast Overland T-Shirt in this episode! :)
I had a buddy from Alaska where the mosquito is the state bird and he bought beekeeping hats and screen for his outdoor adventures
awesome collaboration adventure! Safe travels.
Hi Chris, Met you at NWOL rally. I am embarrassed that you have already seen more cool trails and spots then i have. Just the motivation I need to get out there thanks.
Bummer on the ticket. You do a great job on you video production. It is always fun to watch you trips. Guess you didn't win the drawing.
Two of my favorite channels collide, awesome.
You had a casual encounter with the expedition overland team and didn't mention it?? Anyway love your channel Chris. Keep them coming! Recently discovered and I'm catching up to your most recent ones. Great content 👍
Nice to see you catch up with Cappy.
Gratuitous cross promotion theatre. Love it.
I'm famous...I'm the old guy sitting in the lawn chair at 2:35!
Dude, I love how you use the shitter for a table for your stove. What happens when your in the middle of cooking and you have a blowout?
Sanitation is overated😂😂😂
Good point 🤔🤔🤔
Sure.....just ask the SARS victims of the world and you might change your mind.
Put the stove on your lap and take yourself a seat on the throne, partner.
"Dude, you were eating off it"
Like the Canada Day salute ! 🇨🇦🌲🍺
Beautiful
Where can I find a Jeep chair like yours?
Another great one! Keep it up bud

I sometimes wonder if some enforcement officers do this deliberately when they realize the citation they have to write is inherently unfair.

From what I’ve seen in his other videos, he uses Adobe Premier Pro. I’ve also seen a GoPro 3 and 7 in others. I hope that helps

Is that a "Mustang Cobra Overland Edition" camping next to you? 😉
tfcooks - LOL
Do you carry any "protection" for any varmints that you may encounter when your hiking?
You are allowed only 2 hours access to our books
Ergonomics are spot on lol
i always here about the overland meets after there over with. how does one keep up with this?
That's a hunting camp at 30:00.
I would contest the ticket. What do you have to lose?

Hey Chris noticed our .gpx files only back to v6...anyway to get early ones like v3 especially this one?
He has a legacy.gpx which covers the earliest seasons.

Have you ever had any encounters with predatory wildlife?
Dear Chris, breakfast suggestion for your oats. Try adding granola or sultanas - I'm sure it's healthier than those checks you keep eating 👍

Hey Chris I have a question..do u ever feel uncomfortable or have a erie feeling being out so far in remote areas away from people..
What size KO2s do you have on your jeep?
i believe 315-70-17?
chris what kind of jackson kayak is yours?

Good vid, you should do a vid on cooking on the road for the viewers and maybe you will learn some skills also. Just saying, LOL
Okanagan is pronounced Oh-Ki-Naw-Gin
or as I say here in the Okanagan, O ka nah gahn.
of course it is different across the border in the USA, where the spelling is Okanogan.
@@blueman5924 That sounds more correct than my version. Beautiful place you're living in.
