Truly amazing content. I have not seen one video of an overland like you who posts his videos on youtube without any sound track and it looks this good. You are the only person I watch who do does not use any music and yet your videos are still top notch. Also, no drone footage and still top notch. Thanks for sharing. You do great work indeed.
What sets this channel apart from so many others is that you are sharing details about where you are going and where you are staying each day- this is great for those of us constantly looking for new places to explore. Thanks.
Chris, Here is a very quick and inexpensive fix for your muddy wet connection on your sway bar disconnect: 1) Dowse the connectors thouroughly with of WD-40. (The "WD" stands for Water Displacement!) 2) Wipe everything clean and dry 3) Put a generous dose of electrical connection grease and reconnect. the connector. The grease is available at any auto parts or on amazon (google it) and it will keep new water from coming into the connector.. You still may need to caulk the casing of the disconnnect motor, but usuallly just filling the connector will permanently keep new water from getting into the connector. Good luck with the wobble. You are probably due for ball joints in your steering knuckles, if they have not been replaced recently. Also, your tracking bar may need adjustment to center the axle on the frame. Tracking bar mounts will eventually wear. Tie rod ends may be getting worn with the miles you have put on it. All these fixes are normal wear, and, if done properly, should fix the wobble and make your Jeep drive better than it has for many miles. (I had to replace my ball joints, track bar and steering stabilizer after 60,000 miles on my JK when it started to death wobble.) Good find for the Weber lid. As soon as you picked it up, I said "Man, I hope you use that to make warming up pizza on the Scottle much nicer! " Happy Trails! Gil
Chris Your misfire could be left bank cylinder head. PM me the last 8 digits of your vin and I will see if you have the extended cylinder head warranty. Been a Dodge Jeep Service Manager for 29 years.
Chris - Always great to catch a new episode with you on Friday evening or Saturday morning. You do an outstanding job at chronicling your adventure/journey. Nice camera work and wonderful editing easily puts your story above others that try similar things. Nice to see that you take your time to explore the people, communities and the environments that you encounter. Keep up the great work! I hope the folks in Prescott treat you, and the Jeep well.
Yes, and no distracting, nerve racking background "music". If I hear any more of that intermittent finger snapping mess, I'll go crazier than I already am...
Another great episode!!!! My 7 year old daughter is enjoying your travels now as well.....every Saturday arvo (here in Australia) we sit together and take the time to see where your going next:D Thanks for sharing fella
Life maintenance is fun to watch. Especially when your making food. Very enjoyable to watch. Glad you park next to Jeeps. I too try to park next to a fellow Jeeper when I park.
YES! I absolutely LOVE taco pizza!..... Almost as much as your videos. I honestly look forward to them every Friday, I'm totally living vicariously through you 😃 🌮 🍕 🌮 🍕 🌮 🍕 🌮 🍕 🌮 🍕 🌮 🍕
Hi Chris, Your videos are the most enjoyable videos I have seen on UA-cam. Your style, content, and pacing are excellent. I know a lot of work goes in to them. Like the no music background.
Hiking the Vulture Peak Trail: We were a little apprehensive about hiking all the way to the saddle but decided to give it a try. Once we started the final 700 foot ascent the scenery got better and better, so we continued one switch-back at a time until we reached the saddle. The view was spectacular, and so was the sense of accomplishment!
I don't know if it was the same ammo can but I signed my name there in the late 70's. The view from Vulture peak is awesome. Hope you take the castle hot springs road. There is lots to see like Little Hells Gate. Again have fun
Great video man! Good job with all the solo shooting of your travels, I know with my channel that takes a ton of time and setup that a lot of folks don't appreciate as much as they should.
Looking back on these videos, this one does give you a sense of life outside, like the toilet scene - which you don't touch as much in your other videos.
Hey alright! Welcome to Arizona friend, welcome! I love seeing your compositions in that terrain. I was just at six-mile crossing last week testing my camera! I so hope you liked the area, and looks like you did! :) Man, your video shots really do justice to the beauty. Great job as usual. ...PS) You got a lol at the abandoned car outta me.
Watch out for snakes and scorpions when camping out there and/or walking along trails. Although they're not typically active due to the low temps this time of year, but you never know. Having lived there as a kid, I always shook-out my boots/shoes every morning just in case a nasty critter was hiding there.
It's cool to see you on roads and trails I recognize. last time I was there that Acura was not. Did you eat at Anita's. There are lot of cool places to camp in that area. Sorry you didn't find them. Have fun.
Had my clockspring replaced for free. It is a known problem and they have to fix it. Don't let them charge you for that.. The misfire may also be a warrantee thing.
I have to say the first time I watched one of your videos I wasn't all that impressed. Your style wasn't much to my liking. That was 6 months ago. I have to say that your style of shooting videos has really grown on me and I now look forward to your weekly video releases. Keep up the great content!
Miss fire 2200 reps only, could be a parcilly plugged injector , or time for a maintenance cleaning of air intact , vacuum leaks can cause it to happen, in-general, a tune up . Sea Foam start using it .👍😎
You mean, that was the death wobble, eh? Hope you get all the broken stuff fixed. That electrical sway bar thingamajig shouldn't be in a location that gets submerged! Knuckleheaded designers. I always use that diaelectric grease on my electric connections, it seems to work good.
I haven't seen too many ep where you take us along for a shower. Usually you will just say, took a shower. Nice to know what establishment you can do that.
Hey Chris I really enjoy watching your videos! As a viewer I would enjoy seeing pics during the week that give subtle clues/hints as to what to expect from the next video. Have you considered posting pics to Instagram prior to releasing the videos?
I hope your death wobble is just an unbalanced tyre (as was mine) and I hope (and expect) your engine cutting out is just a cam or crank sensor that needs replacing.. Love your channel, UA-cam is my TV these days and I watch many shows, but for me yours is the best.. I love your style, approach, outlook, filming and editing.. Please eat more fruit and veg though, lol.. Best wishes from Jonny in the UK.. ps, didn't realise you were on instagram, so will look you up on there :0)
Wondering why, since obviously space is at a premium in your Jeep, that you use the skottle for cooking vs other smaller options? If you have addressed this in a previous video, please refer me to it. Thank you. I love that you found that Weber kettle lid! A couple or three videos ago, when you were heating up or making pizza, and the top of the pizza was looking decidedly uncooked, I suggested making an aluminum foil dome to try and retain/reflect some heat onto the top of the pizza...and happenstance did you one better!
Did I see you in Wickenburg on the 12th gassing up?? I was on another mission with a friend or I would have stopped to meet up. I live 30 miles SE in Sun City West so if you need a place with Wi Fi and a driveway, let me know. I’m boondocker from WAY back.
Death wobble in Jeeps has historically been the control arms. Can buy a pair online and swap them out yourself in an hour. I did mine on my 04 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Best of luck
Your statement indicates that control arms are the primary culprit, this is inaccurate. You may/maynot have had success as you say, from a Tech's perspective I don't think you will find many pro mechanics who agree with you, could be wrong though I know I am not. #1 track bar mounting at axle location, then at frame,#2 tie rod play at either outer tierod end or at pitman/draglink,,#3 sector shaft play or loose gear housing, ball joints will be a contributing factor and are common wear items, just get in it start it, have someone turn the wheel back and forth kind of quickly while you inspect each tierod end/mounting/pivot point, look for any abnormal popping type movement/out of socket or thud or shiny metal where moving bolt etc is or you can put your hand on each joint and feel it to verify, should be obvious, any movement is not good and all play adds up over the total sum of all joints/pivots ..you have to think about what controls lateral oscillations, and control arms are way down on the list
If you decide to make your way back to the west, visit Crator Lake, OR & Mt St Helens ,WA. Kinda bummed, your video & picture skills would have done them justice.
Hey Chris how about you show people you interact with? You always talks about meeting friends and would be good for us to see this. Also please eat a bit healthier, all these canned and processed food will bite your butt someday, my husband and I watch all your videos and always talk about that. On a side note, we always enjoy watching you and look forward to see where you go next.
MAY I ASK WHAT YOU USE TO COOK WITH ? WHERE DID YOU GET / BUY IT? BREATHTAKING VIEWS! BE SAFE! HAVE FUN ON YOUR JOURNEY ! GOD BE WITH YOU ALWAYS! ENJOYED!
Clock Spring on my jeep patriot is not working also, so I cooled a dealer and service in Serbia, they want to charge me 625 US dollars just for clock spring + labor ... They are the only dealer in country so they can charge a 5000 if they want, but its just bad. I want to order from Amazon but Im not sure about quality, what do you all think
Arizona is beautiful, but at the same time a very unforgiving landscape...
Absolutely addicted to your channel, please don’t ever stop exploring.

Thanks for sharing. You do great work indeed.
Yes. I so agree with you.
Agreed.
Chris, IMHO the "life maintenance stuff" is necessary and adds to the adventure. Thank you for all your work !

I had my sway bar disconnect replaced 3 times by Jeep under warranty because it was not sealed properly. Dielectric grease is key! Good luck.
Chris
Your misfire could be left bank cylinder head. PM me the last 8 digits of your vin and I will see if you have the extended cylinder head warranty. Been a Dodge Jeep Service Manager for 29 years.
120,000 miles on the Jeep- thanks for taking us along on your adventures ( “it’s an addiction” ✌️)

another great video ,,, stay safe ,,, have fun. Every breath you take,,, every day you live, is numbered ,,, make it count.
Andrew St. Pierrre White from 4xoverland gave you a nice mention on his live broadcast today, keep up the adventure because people are noticing.
Another great channel. I can listen to that guy talk and tell stories all day.
Yes, and no distracting, nerve racking background "music". If I hear any more of that intermittent finger snapping mess, I'll go crazier than I already am...
Beautiful sunset ---- Keep that Jeep going-Thanks for the great video
Another great episode!!!! My 7 year old daughter is enjoying your travels now as well.....every Saturday arvo (here in Australia) we sit together and take the time to see where your going next:D Thanks for sharing fella
Wow...such an epic sunset! Truly breathtaking.
Great shots in Wickenburg, looks like a cool little town! Thumbs up for the Sweedish Fish.
As a photojournalist, yes, tell the whole story. Great work documenting your travels!
Thanks for another adventure!
You really are an adventurer, look at that view !
As usual, a great job filming and telling the story. You make it look easy.
Life maintenance is fun to watch. Especially when your making food. Very enjoyable to watch.
Glad you park next to Jeeps. I too try to park next to a fellow Jeeper when I park.
I can imagine how much efforts and planning time you put for videos. Thank you very much
Chris you are a true overlander
That was some beautiful south western desert scenery!
We like the life maintenance. Efficient fast ways to accomplish stuff leaves more time for adventure travel.
Awesome shots! Especially the sun setting with windmill.
Hi Chris, love your adventures. We have hit some of the same places and you in Arizona. Can't wait to see what is next.
I'm pretty stoked that you made it down to the Havasu area! Those laundry machines looked brand new! Your explorations have been great to watch!
That's exactly what I was thinking when I saw the weber lid.
all he needs is a trivet and he could bake.
Great video as usual. Good luck with those repairs.
Cool non-flushing toilet idea. I passed the idea on to my friend who lives in the woods of Texas. Great alt. for him.
YES! I absolutely LOVE taco pizza!..... Almost as much as your videos. I honestly look forward to them every Friday, I'm totally living vicariously through you 😃

Hey we just drove by you as we were headed to meas today to la mesa rv. I was in the black hemi rubicon. It was around 215 today

I appreciate it, Dash. Of course, y'all sure leave a lot of cameras on the trail.
I've been to Wickenburg and it's a cool town. My mother likes to check out the antique shops up there so she drags me along when I visit.
Glad I’m watching another episode:)
Just one flip on that burger Chris and you will be a happy camper ;)
Love the videos Chris. Although the face you made while eating the charred sandwich had me rolling stay safe and keep the videos coming.
Looking back on these videos, this one does give you a sense of life outside, like the toilet scene - which you don't touch as much in your other videos.
You should be sponsored (or at least subsidized somehow) by JEEP and AEV, you are a living testament to the capability of their products.
muito bom,nao perco um video.very good, I do not lose a video

Hi Chris, great channel. You gotta eat healthier or else you will get sick. Greens, fruit, whole grains....
Yes, Life Maintenance, is important to talk about.
I like the Fire and Burger action at the same @ 16:27 👍🏻🇺🇸👍🏻🇺🇸👍🏻
Awesome video Chris👍👍
I have an appointment at York Jeep/Dodge next wednesday the 20th for the alignment on my 2018 JLU Wrangler in Prescott. Maybe I'll see you there!!!
Really enjoy your videos, maybe one day I can get out there for a little bit at least.
Great video thank you!
Look forward to next week

Ahhh man, I have caught up to the most recent video. Now I have to wait a week in between episodes :( You are doing a great job!
A free Skottle top!!! woohoo!!!
In Prescott AZ, the best place to have work done on your Jeep is Summit Jeep company.
It's cool to see you on roads and trails I recognize. last time I was there that Acura was not. Did you eat at Anita's. There are lot of cool places to camp in that area. Sorry you didn't find them. Have fun.
Thanks for the info. I guess I'll be staying north of the Mojave beltway.
Nice hike at Vulture's peak.
Had my clockspring replaced for free. It is a known problem and they have to fix it. Don't let them charge you for that.. The misfire may also be a warrantee thing.
Thanks, have a great evening!
"it's pretty good once you get past the char..." LOL

Nice video Chris, on your way to Prescott take a look outside of Bagdad, Az and Skull valley. Good luck with the Jeep and be safe.
GREAT Ep 👍Still afraid to air down? I thought you had an air compressor now?
You mean, that was the death wobble, eh? Hope you get all the broken stuff fixed. That electrical sway bar thingamajig shouldn't be in a location that gets submerged! Knuckleheaded designers. I always use that diaelectric grease on my electric connections, it seems to work good.
I haven't seen too many ep where you take us along for a shower. Usually you will just say, took a shower. Nice to know what establishment you can do that.
Today you just taught me how to say Prescott AZ, turns out I've been mispronouncing that name for several decades.
As you stated...try replacing GAS Cap first, common issue. Adventure on sir!
4XOverland said he subscribed to your channel and watches you.

Miss that area... check out black canyon city on your way to Prescott ... my family has a house there.
5:21... the amazing disappearing Cheeze it Box!!

try Jerome,AZ
Yikes.. that deathwobble is real..
Death wobble in Jeeps has historically been the control arms. Can buy a pair online and swap them out yourself in an hour. I did mine on my 04 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Best of luck
Inaccurate,sorry
Bushings,loose bolts,ball joints,and out of balance tires
Not sure what could be inaccurate about an exact experience I went through, looked up, and solved... but cheers mate
For sure. the bushings in my control arms went and rather than press new ones I just bought a new set for almost the same cost... easy enough
Your statement indicates that control arms are the primary culprit, this is inaccurate. How do you attach your goal-zero lite a life mini to the ceiling? Looks really practical!
lol i saw a later post and i wondered where you got the weber grill top from.
You should replace that sway bar disconnect with a hydraulic mechanism,,,,, oh wait. ;)
If you decide to make your way back to the west, visit Crator Lake, OR & Mt St Helens ,WA. Kinda bummed, your video & picture skills would have done them justice.
120k on the odometer, would be interesting to know how many of those miles have been off road.
Any plans to come to Mexico Chris?
I'm with you on the shower. When I've been out for a week or so, no matter how much I do "camp wash", nothing beats a long hot real shower.
27:56 I'm going to do a little scouting, look around town and see what I can nya-ya-ya-ya-ya-ya-ya-ya-ya
left over pizza? who has left over pizza? lol
Hey Chris how about you show people you interact with? You always talks about meeting friends and would be good for us to see this. Hopefully that is what you were looking for.
Have you used your compressed air system to blow out the water in your electrical systems?
Any chance you coming through Tucson after your repairs are done?
I had what I thought was a misfire turned out to be a crank position sensor
@venture4wd does your Jeep leak at all from ursa minor thinking of getting one thx

23:50 - Good as New!
Was wondering, how do you secure the USA minor top in the rare times your in the city and away from the Jeep? Is there a lock on it?
you can put a pad lock on each latch.
