    Could you do the same type video for Halo 2? Lockout has snow on the orginal Xbox but no snow on MCC.

      I'll have to take a closer look at Halo 2 Vista (that's the version MCC uses for Halo 2 Classic Multiplayer) to see if there's any changes to the maps geometry. As for the lack of snow on Lockout; I believe that's just an unintentional bug. There's also some visual differences between Combat Evolved for the PC and the original Xbox release which I might cover in a separate video. Thanks for the feedback!

    4:04 Finally someone who calls something like this a "little oversight" instead of a "bug" or "glitch". There's too many videogame videos in which the commentators don't seem to know the difference between a genuine bug and a misplaced object, texture etc.

      God, I thought I was the only one who noticed that. Would also be nice if people would stop calling every game with cartoony-style graphics "cel-shaded"... Team Fortress 2 is not cel-shaded!

      Me and my sister were talking about that while doing some co-op during christmas. The ambient sounds in Halo REALLY trigger that nostalgia.
      The wind sounds from the open, often winter levels, the machine noises when you're in corridors, the strange wheezing noise in random places in The Library and later flood levels...
      Halo may not be a perfect game, but the audio for the game, IS perfect.

    visual changes was the first thing i noticed in halo MCC in the original xbox jackals have yellow and blue shields based on what kind of jackal they are, the shields also change colour based on how much damage it endures, in pc all the shields have the same colour and they do not change colour when you shoot it.

      That's cause the MCC/PC versions are essentially broken.

      @@FidesYT i know :/ but still after all these years of using the PC version as a base for their new ports somebody should at least look at the xbox original and re enable the constant bumpmap effects and the lighteffects. i mean no doubt they have acess to the source code and can fix those issues fairly easy, if anything this should be spread amongst halo fans and talked about in the forums to bring em up to 343 so they can fix that now when MCC is beeing brought to PC. They are working on the games again that should be one of the things that they should finally look into. also another thing that should be like things to unlock would be dev art and such like neat little timeline and showcase how these games evolved etc :)

      CE for PC is right around the corner now guys. If they're going to fix it they'll be doing so right around now. Let's all hope they are aware of at least some of these issues and do their best to fix it. Even though I don't have high hopes since the development time involved is probably larger than we expect (gearbox was aware of the problem and couldn't fix it before launch after all) chances are it might be a really complex issue with the engine.

    You did miss a couple of details, bro. The orientation of the weapons changed. The 2 white arrows in the floor at the center of the teleporters room in Sidewinder. Also, when it was confirmed that CE was having the pc maps in the MCC, i think it was mentioned that the spawn points would be those of the OG Xbox, in other words, they are different. And since you are mentioning the shade turret, I think the banshees are worth mentioning too.

    The pistol as well as other sound effects sound different from the orginal xbox version. The pc port is basically anniversary but with the remastered graphics like he said.

      Harp Productions the pc port also removed the Magnum Balancing patch

    The original Xbox version was meant for 4 player or Lan party play. I don't think Bungie was thinking about balancing their multiplayer settings for online multiplayer at the time. You could tell they revised some of these maps in an attempt to balance the new online multiplayer mode for the PC version. However I think the weapons and vehicles combined were all equally OP. You could literally shoot someone out of their banshee with a pistol.

    Original xbox sidewinder is better. CTF just revolves around the teleporters and nobody uses the rest of the map

    battle creek window change was not needed don't know why they would change it since there is already a big gaping hole on the roof, but the little change of space between the tree and wall was ok.
    Blood gulchs changes are ok, the small little walls never bothered me tho.
    Hang em HIgh changes im 50/50 about this change
    some of the changes that you mentioned that was changed for the MCC like the 2 way teleporter in sidewinder was actually a change in the PC version so was the covenant turret on the top platform.

      I think the one on Battlecreek was made to cut down on the amount of entrances into the base flag room. You already have a big hole in the ceiling, 2 direct openings which both connect into different entrances for the base, and then on top of that also having players jump through the fucking walls to enter. It's a bit overkill.

      @@genericwhitekidthesecond4330 if you played battlecreek you should know it was easy for one guy to spawn camp the whole enemy team with grenades, plasma grenades, and rocket launcher in the flag room by using the big gaping hole on the roof while the rest of the team took care of the hall ways/entrances and those who don't spawn in the flag room. Therefore that side window was an alternative escape route you could possibly take while the guy on the roof with rocket launcher is reloading

    I have halo ce for original xbox does it have bots in multiplayer ?

      Culture Rot it’s best on the og(Xbox) version but it doesn’t matter because you can only play multiplayer on lan/no xbox live so MCC is the only way to play halo ce on live. Has some glitches I think most have been fixed tho.

    you forgot about top of blue base on battle creek. the OG version is taller. mcc/pc version is shorter.

    Actually, what MCC did was pretty much use the maps from the PC version rather than Xbox, since most (if not all) of the differences you pointed out compared to the original Xbox maps are changes that were already done for the PC version of the game back in 2003, in Battle Creek the windows of the bases were already smaller for the halo pc multiplayer, same applies for the edges with lights you pointed out in Hang ‘em High, in sidewinder the teleporters were already two way... many things are different from the Xbox and the PC versions long before master chief collection. The Xbox version had working bump maps for natural light like the sun whereas in PC you can only see bump maps when using the flash light or lights from gun shooting, grenades, etc. (Something you can notice if you pay attention to the textures like the floor between both versions) Almost feels like bungie downgraded the game engine’s capabilities when they released the PC version as well as fixing geometry bugs

      apparently gearbox "fixed" the textures when they released custom edition and the pc version but instead the broke bump glass shaders and made the forerunner ground bump maps worse.

      When Gearbox ported the game to PC they broke the transparent shader textures (among many other things). Also he said in the video that the MCC uses the PC version, so he is talking about the PC version but just using the MCC to show it off, they're the same.

    It's an unforgivable shame that you can't play the original Halo, the game that started it all, on MCC. The "Anniversary" remake is a pile of absolute garbage. You can't even play with the original gun sounds, even when you're on the "original" graphics (which aren't actually the original graphics because they ruined the HUD, plus it's based on the PC version which introduced some graphical glitches, like a messed up skybox on Assault on the Control Room, and missing green glow from a charging plasma pistol). So even when you want to play on these "original" graphics, it won't use the original gun sounds. You're stuck with bastardised trash instead.
