Hey Glamfam!
In this video I am going to show you how to do 2 strand twists. These are ESSENTIAL in natural hair styling and they are so versatile, You can dress them up or down, ponytail them, wear them down, and when they begin to look old, you can untwist them for a beautiful twist out. Not only that, they are easy and quicker than braids. I hope this video proves helpful for you, especially if you are trying to learn how to do natural hair!
You know I love you boo!

Thanks for the tips!! I share them with my 19 year old daughter whom doesn't know how to keep her curly hair in check. It's all about the technique!
Thanks for sharing them! Yes! Technique makes such a huge difference!
Thank you! Straight to it, no waffling no repeating yourself 5 times over no trying to be clever or funny 🤬just a straightforward CONCISE tutorial 👏👏👏👏👏
Thanks so much for your feedback!
Hello. I love your longer tutorials - more to learn. And brief has an important place. Thank you for giving options ✌🏾
Thanks so much for your feedback! I'm trying to ensure that I'm being considerate of my audience, but I typically give a lot of detail, not everyone needs/wants that. Thanks for watching!
Please do one for flat twists! I can never get my hair to lay flat and it confused in which direction to twist.
I will add that to my list of videos! Thanks for your request!
I usually make my twists like the very first strand you did, and they never stayed long. The second twist looked so much better with just a turn of the wrist. Will try this from now on! Thanks bunches!!
My pleasure! I genuinely hope it helps! Thanks for watching!
Love this! Straight to the point but still very informative
Thanks so much for your feedback! I appreciate it!
Thank you so much for this tutorial. It was quick and straight to the point. I've always wanted to learn how to do a two strand twist. It would always be a struggle for me doing it on my mannequin, but now I know what to. It's all about twisting the hair a little before you cross it over for the twist. I can't wait for the videos on a tighter method and how to keep them from looking spacey
I’m so thankful that this video was able to be helpful! I truly appreciate you watching!
Thank you so much for demonstrating two strand twist. I appreciate your expertise.❤
Such a pleasure! I appreciate you watching!
I love how healthy and beautiful your nails look please can you show us a video on how you take care of them?
For the first time in my life,I was able to twist my hair last night, thanks to this video,I woke up this morning and went out without styling my hair,I feel so good. Other tutorials kept twisting so quickly I wasn’t able to pick up. Thanks ❤
Thank you!!! My aha moment was the next row of twists to fill in the gaps! I never thought of that before 🤯Thank you.
Glad it helped! Such a pleasure, Thanks for watching!
I am so in love with your channel just from watching 2 of your videos
Yes, "twist to the right, pass to the left" is how I try to remind myself. Thank you for the refresher. ❤
Your video is so simple to the point and I think I can try this. I have given up because all the videos I’ve watched explained but mine never came out like theirs.
Love this. The turning towards the face was my aha moment.
Awesome! I’m so glad you found it to be helpful!
Love this! I usually do a little braid at the root to help with my daughter's frizzy roots, and then move into the twist. I'll be sure to turn my wrist!
THANK YOU!!! They never last. Trying this asap
My pleasure, I hope they work out well for you, Thanks for watching!
Thank you! It’s 3:17 am and I needed this as I’m doing my boyfriends hair for the first time tomorrow! Lol the brick lay was my aha moment
This is a helpful video. On wash day I always style my hair in 2-strand twists & I want them to last.
Thanks so much for your feedback! I appreciate you!
I like that the brick laying technique works for two strand twists as well. Also it feels like it's been a very long time since you ended the videos with that saying. It was good to hear.
Brick laying works wonders, it’s great for curling hair too! Thanks so much for watching and for your feedback! I appreciate you watching!
Thank you for this tutorial and the tips. Also, off topic, but you have the most beautiful hands.👍🏾❤️
Thank you so very much! I appreciate you watching!
I like these quick tips. Using your mannequin with textured hair is so helpful.
Thanks so much, I appreciate you watching!
Omg, I am going to have to watch this several more times as I try this... Thank you!!!! !
Thanks so much for this. Do you have a video on adding hair to 2 strand twists?
Such a pleasure! Yes, I do! Here’s the link:
ua-cam.com/video/EGsu9_ogCaU/v-deo.htmlsi=fkGOKCyOxfkGYWGF
Thank you! I have been doing twists for my daughter who has beautiful curls but the root is always loose! Now I know what to do! I also love that this was short and straight to the point!
Thanks so much for your feedback, I truly hope the video proved helpful!
I love HOWEVER, my HAIR loves you more! You are appreciated!
Aww thank you so much! Thanks for watching! Much love back at you!
I love the Detailed version! And since I wear my hair in two-strand, 95% of the time, I'll do it like this so it doesn't look chunky and frizzy!🤦🏽♀️ TY ❤
Thanks so much! Also, I appreciate your feedback! 😊❤️
Love tutorials like this. Thanks
Such a pleasure! Thanks so much for your feedback!
This is the only style ive been keeping my hair since October! 😂 (With take down wash and touch ups ofc)
I love it! They are versatile, low tension, and don’t take all day! 😊😊
Wow thanks for the quick tip I’m definitely trying it this next time
Such a pleasure! Thanks for watching!
Yes yes yes this helped me! I had just been twisting.
Awesome! Thanks so much for watching!
Just came from the longer video, so happy i found your page, cant wait to try on my sons hair!
Just wondering do you contine the same pattern the whole way up the head or do you change the way you part the hair when you get to the top?
Thank you. 👑
OMG, thank you so much. I do this sometimes on wash day and my twist unravel the very next day. I’m going to try this method next time.
I sincerely hope this method proves helpful to you! Thanks for watching!
Thank you Bro 🖤
Yes, where and how to add the additional twist was major! Thanks 🙂❤⭐🙏🏼
Such a pleasure! Thanks so much for watching!!
Got it! Thanks❤
Such a pleasure fam! Thanks for watching!
I've struggled with doing twists and the beginning hand twist was something I didn't know. That was helpful❤
Thanks for the feedback! I hope that tip helps with your twists! 😊🙏🏽
This makes so much sense as to why I never like my twists! Also, do you have any tips on doing the back of your own head? I’m so awkward when it comes to this! I feel like my hands are all over the place.
Very helpful❤
Glad you think so! Thanks for watching!
Very detailed. Thank you.
My joy, thanks so much for watching!
Love it ❤
Thanks so much fam! I appreciate you watching!
Thank you!!!
My joy! Thanks for watching!
Now I get it!!!
I am so glad the video was helpful! Thank you for watching
Thank you. I’ll use these tips next time I do my daughter’s hair. Thai short tutorial was great.
Such a pleasure! Thanks so much for your feedback!
Hi new here lol i been great tip i been doing my 3 yr olds hair the first way now i have a new way to try. Thank you ❤
Thank you for the video
My joy! Thank you so much for watching!!
I twisted my hair some hours ago, and they’re coming undone. Had to keep retwisting. But Aha! I see what I need to do now. Thanks for sharing.
Such a pleasure! I’m so glad the video was helpful!
When you showed how to turn the piece of hair while you get ready to twist the strands, that was my ah ha moment! Thank you!
This is so interesting... And I have the most straight hair ever 😊
😊❤️❤️
When my hair was longer, i did 2 strand twists to take down and they never turned out like the videos. Now i know why, they weren't tight enough, so thank you. I can help my niece as she goes natural and myself as i grow mine out.
Your techniques always are the best now that I'm in my season age of 40's my hair is different I'm ready to cut it all I do is braids I would love to play with it any advice?
Definitely had an “aha moment” 😂😂😂
Yay! I truly hope it helped!
Thank you, great tips.🤗👍
Thanks so much! I appreciate you watching!
@@GetGlamFam you are welcome.🤗💙
I was today years old when I found out I've been doing it WRONG all these years! But when you know better, you do better! I just redid a couple of twists on my week old head and I can already see the difference. Can't wait for next wash day! Thanks for your knowledge and expertise!
New here from Cincinnati just learned something
I wish this was possible on crappy fine and fragile menopausal English not Afro hair ! I love your videos, I love your style and just the way you are. It is so nice to find a professional who understands kids with sensory sensitivity, I have five of them ranging from 21 to 9 and hair is a battle. My 20 year old son cries when I have to touch his hair to cut it. He also has very fine English long dark blonde hair and struggles with moisture retention, he has just discovered vatika cactus hair oil which seems to do the trick for him to detangle. I woukd love if you could do a little set of videos on our type of hair and also maybe the effect menopause and age has on hair. Thank you for your videos x
Thanks cause I've been wanting to 2 strand twist my 3 year old hair but when I twist it in ponytails they come undone and frizz up so easily. I'll try this on nexts weeks style.
Such a pleasure! I hope this technique proves helpful for you!
What products should I use to prep the hair?
What products should you use so it won't flake up the scalp
Please am interested in the mannequin head but i want to find out if the hair sheds or not because i bought my first mannequin for braiding training but the hair shdding was insane, i bought another one and its has no difference from the first one ,so now am looking for a very quality mannequin head that doesnt shed hair .I hope you understand my point thanks
I have a question. I watched the longer video too. Firstly thank you. I’m ready for my second try to twist my nephews hair. But would you recommend blow drying his hair out? His hair is so soft when wet I don’t think it would hold without blow drying but your mannequin hair resembles his hair some so I’m not sure
You could do that, but just be mindful that his twists won’t look as full.
Thank you for this quick and to the point tutorial! I LOVE it :)
Any tips for how to prepare your hair for sleep after you have done the twist? My twist always flatten completely when I sleep on them.
It depends on the wearer, but I have a facial steamer, and often I’ll use the steam from it to make the twists spring back into place 😊
@@GetGlamFam Thanks, I will try that. Love your channel , I hit the "subscribe" button!
Aww thank you so much! Thanks for watching!
Very nice

🙋🏽♀️Hey Linwood how are you...thanks for sharing...ky
I'm doing well! How about you?
@GetGlamFam doing ok dealing w/sinuses...good to see you...take care
Do you have 3 strand??? I like how it comes out. Please let me know thanks @getglamfam hope all is well with the fam ❤
I sure do! Here’s 3 strand twists: ua-cam.com/video/XlFReEI9uR4/v-deo.htmlsi=Rhv27hlIzxu9vBvj
And here’s 3 strand flat twists: ua-cam.com/video/h2bvC13u1NY/v-deo.htmlsi=eM3ny4MEVw2q6P5i
Wonderful! My problem is twisting the back of my own head. 😕
It can definitely be a challenge that way. For my hair I use a small trifold mirror so I can easily see the back. It hangs on and door, but I usually hang it on my towel rack so I can sit down while I work.
@@GetGlamFam I'll try it!
Can I do that on short hair my hair is longer in the back and short at the top.
I 2 strand twist as short as 2 inches, so I would say yes 😊 Thanks for watching!
so basically like a rope twist!
Very much so!
Shut the front door! Let me find out I’ve been twisting wrong for about 8 years now.
I hope the video helped! Thanks so much for watching!
Do you have cornrow tutorial?
Absolutely! Here's the link: ua-cam.com/video/AOSkWaaiYaY/v-deo.html
You are awesome, this daddy twisted his 13oy girl for the first time 😊.
🎉😊
Thanks for watching fam!
@@GetGlamFam
Your welcome. 🤍🧡
I’m natural and I’m moving to Houston from California where our weather is perfect. I’ve been wearing braids for 3 years plus. I just want something different
I’m watching this video because my husband has 4c hair and I’m braiding his hair for the first time ever.. wish me luck!
I prefer to twist clockwise because anti-clockwise makes my hair look somehow
No worries! In that instance you would turn to the left, then pass to the right 😊 Thanks for watching!
@@GetGlamFam ❤️❤️
I always want to see how the parts are done at the top that’s where I have problems. Nobody shows that.
It’s not a twisting video, but I break down parting the parting pattern I use for twists and box braids in this video: ua-cam.com/video/yq4QDr5jK8U/v-deo.htmlsi=h0x-KxE-WZhaPrcu
@@GetGlamFam Perfect. Thank you. 🙂
Thank you for the tutorial. Unfortunately, my hair said "he was not talking to us, because we gonna do what we wanna do, boo". *Sigh* 😕😊😊
Oh, so u don't have to start with a braid? cool
Great question! No, you don’t. Some people do because they like more tension at the scalp, but it’s absolutely not required. 😊

Thanks so very much fam! I appreciate you!
