I know this is about the 16, but after having both SB13 ultra and PB13 ultra, ported SVS subs SMASH sealed. If you want the deepest best bass possible, skip the sealed and just get the ported. They cost more, but the sealed will leave you wanting more. Buy once, cry once
Which one is better Sealed or Ported ? On subwoofers

Interesting I received my 1600 ultra yesterday and it didn’t come on a pallet
The delivery guy carried it up to the house, and then I just rolled it into the house by didn’t have to have help to do it
I also unboxed it, set it up by myself, didn’t have to have any help
Let me tell you the SB 1600 ultra is incredible. That’s what you want for your main room.
It is heavy as well, but you can do it by yourself if you had to

When it comes to SVS® subwoofers, PB stands for Ported Bass whereas SB stands for Sealed Bass.

@@Dreamediaav hello I would want 3 for front channel and what would you recommend for rear surround and side surround. Also what would you recommend for 4 Dolby atmos ceiling mount.
sounds great! id probably say pair them with some klipsch pro series in ceilings for atmos or if you dont want to cut holes in the ceiling then I would go with the svs prime elevations. They blend well with any speaker for heights/atmos

@Michael G I was wondering the same thing. I was THIS CLOSE to ordering an SB16, but I hate when you purchase something, then it's replacement gets released soon after. So, I guess I'll play the waiting game.

I understand that they have a 1-year trade-in policy, but who wants to handle a 122# subwoofer multiple times, let alone pack it up and ship it back? Until then, I guess I'll rely on my little 10", 65 watt PSB sub from 1997 lol. If you wouldn't mind, then please let me know what you think of the SB16.
