Which is better: Ported or Sealed?
Sealed subs give tighter and more accurate bass but you can get more extension from a ported sub. Both serve a purpose. We recommend scheduling a free consult with a specialist to discuss your room. Thanks for watching!

The pb16 is overkill for any room less than 400 sq ft.

I just noticed, no auto on switch? So I suppose you'd have to manually shut off or use the 3v-12v trigger?
I'm so used to just setting the sub to auto..

5000W you need a small power plant in the room and a strong cooling is good for the winter Check how much you really get clean RMS and not get excited as a kid who gets candy at the end will hurt his stomach and you will hurt your ears or you will lose hearing and then you will need more power 🙊🙉🙈

I have two of the pb16s at home and they are crazy! They sound amazing in explosions or music and will take all the abuse you throw at them. Let me know if you want a set:)
just get yourself 2 mariana 24sc or something or perhaps just one ..or two mariana 18s from Deep sea sound man..they are many times better
I got the monolith 16 ultra thx and I think it’s much better deal than the Svs pb16 ultra. Here’s the comparison
Monolith 16 thx ultra: 16in 2000watts RMS, 3800watts peak, $2300
Svs pb16 ultra: 16in 1500watts RMS, 5000watts peak, $2900

So, how does it compare to the Monoprice M-215?
smoke 14 youtuber youthman has a decent video on that comparison.
I say decent because he has the M-215 on extended mode yet the SVS on standard. I wish both were on extended to truly see the difference.
Also, you can read in his comments from Audioholics they discuss some other things.
So, to me, my take away, performance on the 2 are fairly close, I’d still think the m-215 will have a bit more output on hz below 15hz even if the svs was on extended.
Svs definitely has design, customer service, and an awesome app going for them though.

I bought two PB-4000s. One came with 3 plugs, the other came with 1. They're all over the place. SVS customer service said they should all come with 1.
