    I have 4 of these subs in my theatre room. They are a excellent sub. They can shake my house when the need is there 😊

      Dual subs give you a level of control over the room that you cannot get from a single subwoofer, as you begin smoothing out room modes

    Hey, first comment here. I own an SB 16 Ultra since 2018 and I can tell...this IS a MONSTER. I love this base machine a lot. It is ultra powerful, tons of controls, it is just mind blowing...It feels a huge space with ground shaking base.
    I may have to get the second one at some point. I also own 3 SVS SB 2000s , but those are more appropriate for small rooms.
    By the models I own, one might tell I like the closed versions of subs more than the ported one. I guess it's just a matter of preferences at the end...

      Interesting - I've always felt that the sealed subs usually have more controlled, tighter sounding bass notes. We're glad you enjoy it!

      @@happydogg312 Yes, PBs are really strong subs. Enjoy yours!
      I had issues with a ported sub from Magnat once (fart problem if you know what it is) and I said to myself I will never buy a ported one anymore as sealed subs do not have this issue. So years later, when I had the money, I went for the sealed ones (SB2000 and one SB 16 Ultra) and I do not regret it.

    I bought the SB1000pro and it is completely awesome in our small living room. there is not one single thing that I would change about it. I can set it from my seated position to disappear in the room but offers a hard thump for all genres of music/movies.

      Yes, SB 1000 Pro is a strong product for the price

    One thing about SVS with the sealed sub's is that it's very pleasing to the eye. I have 3 SVS sub's and it doesn't create an eye sore in the livingroom.

      Yes, they do look good, and yes, that does matter in a quality product. We're glad you are enjoying yours

    1x svs sb16 ultra vs 2x svs sb3000?

    • @GramophoneMD
      @GramophoneMD  28 днів тому

      Hi Michael, both are fine options, as both are excellent subs. Twin subs offer some advantages. If you're willing to experiment a bit with location, they can more evenly distribute bass throughout the listening area, reducing peak and null locations - areas where bass is strong, vs others with relatively little bass. But if you are the primary listener, optimizing for your seated listening position, SB16 Ultra can go lower / play louder. Reach out to us if you like: ask@gramophone.com

    A single current JL F113 v2 will blow away dual SB16 flagship in SQ. 😀

    • @GramophoneMD
      @GramophoneMD  9 місяців тому

      Hi Dan D, we're fortunate enough to sell both brands. Both are terrific products. There are some benefits to twin subwoofers that aren't possible with a single sub. One sub will always leave you with some peak and null points within the room. If you can invest some time in placing and integrating twin subs, it can really smooth out those issues. I haven't heard twin F 113 v2 as yet, but I am sure it will sound great

    An output connection on the back??? Say what??

    • @GramophoneMD
      @GramophoneMD  11 місяців тому

      Good question! Some preamps or receivers have only one subwoofer output - but you can still use multiple subwoofers. Just use left and right RCA or XLR outputs on SB16-Ultra to daisy chain the additional sub or subs

    Have a Phaethon f113 v2, don’t think your sub would hold a candle to it

      Here at Gramophone we also sell JL Audio, and Fathom F113 is a terrific subwoofer, no doubt. It is also in a different price range than the SB 16 Ultra

    Dollar for dollar, the new Klipsch subs destroy these.
    2x RP-1600SW can be had for $2100 ($1050 each via Slickdeals) and they utterly destroy a single SB-16.
