    Been a Glock guy for decades. I have many. Tricked out as far as you can. I’ve tried every trigger. Overwatch. JG. Etc. It’s by far the best out of the box trigger. The sheer geometry of Glock triggers can’t beat it. Pdp pro with a ZR 15 lb spring is unbeatable in the striker fire market. Is what it is. I live Glock but they collect dust in the safe. 😢I can’t help but grasp the pdp pro first.

      I think the answer is all three! But honestly, the canik has an almost identical trigger with a lot of accessories for a very reasonable price. Walther is top of the heap. MP is also great, especially with that new comp trigger but will run you closer to a grand. Being honest, if price is an issue, Canik is the winner. If you can swing it, get the walther. Get all 3 if you are a baller. You honestly can't go wrong with any of them, they are all very solid pistols

    I love the PDPs. But I will say two things. For a gun that's supposed to be high quality like a Walther, it has a lot of slide to frame rattle and I was surprised by that. Also if you do a press check, a lot of times it needs a little bump to go back into battery. Other than that, great pistols. Issued a full-size 4.5" with TLR-7A and a Holosun ESP with the PDT trigger. And EDC a PDP-F 4.5" with the same light and optic, standard trigger.

    • @JohnDoeEagle1
      @JohnDoeEagle1 6 місяців тому

      These days all these mallninja tactitard types think every carry pistol should have a 2# or 3# trigger to make up for the fact they can't shoot. That's way too light for a carry gun that should never go below 4# - 5# bare minimum.

  • @66racer

    The PDP Pro SD was my first Walther. I wanted something larger than my p365 for off body carry and this thing had everything I wanted out of the box. The trigger is insanely good and was what sold me on it. Paired with the Holosun SCS PDP, just made for an excellent pistol for my needs.
    Since I was used to shooting my p365, I didnt have issues with the PDP. It is such a comfortable pistol to shoot.

  • @oskar6661
    @oskar6661 6 місяців тому +1

    I've been running a PPQ since they came to the U.S. back in...2011(?) and there's one thing you can say for Walther's current handguns - they make shooting easy. I've had three other people go out and buy a PPQ after shooting mine. I only recently shot my buddy's pair of PDP's and they're definitely a step up (though they "feel" chunky). The PPQ trigger is slightly better, but that's likely due to the extensive amount of rounds I have through mine.
    For a really squared away shooter, I don't know that the PDP brings anything "new", but it's noticeable when I have new shooters how much easier they shoot the PDP/PPQ than similar other handguns. (Glocks, M&Ps, etc.).
    Only thing my PPQ hates is steel cased ammo - I believe this is possibly to do with Walther using stepped barrels in many of their handguns (my PPS M2 doesn't like it either). Out of 900 rounds of Brown Bear I ran many moons ago, I had 25-30 malfunctions.
    It's on the short list of guns I do recommend to new shooters. I don't think you'd get much out of selling off a Glock, M&P, etc. to buy one if you own/shoot them...but Walther makes a hell of a handgun.

    AAC 124g from Palmetto will run a comp with the factory spring out of the box with the PDP. Not sure if that would help with a suprressor. I do not know what they added to their ten herbs and spices but it was pretty hot stuff.

    If anyone is concerned about the recoil. Throw the springco recoil management rod in it and you’ll notice a difference. I also have an X300 light underneath and those two things together make it a dream to shoot, although I liked it from the beginning.

    I have this in the Compact version. I put on some Trijicon sights, Holosun SCS PDP and a ZR Tactical Stainless Steel GUide Rod with 15lb spring, and Herrington Arms Compensator. Love this gun, shoots great and very accurate. One thing I learned is do not shoot my Glock 47 after shooting this one.

    It’s hard not to like this gun. I’ve owned the compact pro for 10 months or so and after 1500 rounds or so with a mixed bag of ammo I’ve had zero malfunctions. The trigger is phenomenal for a striker fired gun.

    Really liked the PPQ due to the paddle mag release. In the end I moved away from it. Gave the PDP a try and really wanted to like it, but the beaver tail section is just way too wide for my hand. The PDP seems to be a great option though.

    I love to shoot my PDP 5" compact. Yeah, it has a little muzzle rise as the slide cycles, but the design of the pistol brings it right back on target as the slide finishes cycling. Also, love the backward compatibility that the compact has with the PPQ M2 mags.

      PPS 1 &2 was probably the best subcompact on the market for a long time. The trigger could be better but it’s good for a striker, and much better than a Glock, lcp, or shield.

      @@FxuckSoyboyspiesgoogleI expect Walther will release a new 1.5/2.0 stacked CCW gun in the next 18 months (that's their cycle, generally). The PPS M2 is the best shooting micro 9mm I've carried/fired...but it's definitely hamstrung with low single-stack capacity. I find myself carrying it more often simply because I shoot is vastly better than my other alternatives. The 7+1 hurts though (that's with Magguts in the basic 6-rounder).

    I have the 5in with the compact grip and the normal trigger, personally I dont feel the snappiness alot of people mention. The only thing about it I may change is the upgrade to the pro trigger, but its not a priority as I personally dont mind the standard trigger. Personally I believe for an edc/ duty style firearm the pdp takes the cake over most any other option for the money. Fantastic pistol forsure
