I have noticed on all Walther reviews, none of you guys have ever talked about the heart of the gun. So here ya go. I'm one of the guys that make this step barrel in the Fort Smith Plant. There is a lot of detail that goes into this barrel and it is unnoticed to the public. It has over a 105 tight dimensions that has to be checked 100% every 5 parts on a CMM machine. The chamber machine work has to be checked 100% on every part. I don't know about other gun manufactures, but I can tell you from hands on this is the best barrel you can get in a gun.
I've watched a ton of reviews on the PDP over 6 months ago before I bought my pistol and I've watched a bunch since and you're right. I have not heard anything about the barrel. Good to know man thanks. I love my pdp. It's my first pistol and since then I've shot a whole bunch of them and none of them feel so good.
@@JimmyLuffjr Well then perhaps a question you can answer; what do you think of the folks changing the weight of the recoil spring? Good idea or better not to mess with it because of something I may not yet understand? Thinking for competition rounds, not hollows. Also my barrel is noticeably awesome, thanks for your hard work.
Thank you! I am older (70) and have only recently (in the last two years - can you guess why?) become a firearm owner. Upon a recommendation (and without trying it first) I purchased a polymer PDP Compact 4". I love it! I have taken a concealed carry course and a basic shooting course at my local gun shop/range where I purchased my Walther. The instructor there is very experienced and knowledgeable but, he is a total Glock fan boy and spends as much time trying to sell you on the virtues of Glock (EVERY police department in world and maybe other planets use Glocks). No doubt they are fine firearms and are worthy of their reputation but, they are not perfect (no handgun is). I don't engage with him due to my inexperience but, I have watched SO many reviews of the PDP and every single one of them (like YOURS) has only raved about the trigger and ergonomics! Always reinforces my feeling that I made the right choice. Now, I am not a big guy (other than around the waist! lol!) so the PDP was going to be an awkward carry gun, so I purchased a Shield9 Plus OR to carry and am happy with that choice. Since then I have purchased a Walther PPQ M2 22lr for range plinking and working on my technique. I have a long way to go in this journey but, find that people like you and your videos (and I am now following you on Rumble!) provide a lot of great information. Thank you for your service. I too am a veteran. US Navy submarine vet 73-79.
Glocks are the MOPAR cars of handguns. I EDC my Walther PDP but my home defense is based around Glock's compatibility. If you've ever seen what it's like in a city 5-6days after a storm, no power and minimal cell signal, you'd understand wanting to stage a firearm in various locations of your home. Extar's EP9, PSA's Dagger and my G19 allow me to run a single platform with no stress about remembering what magazine goes with which firearm at 3am That being said, I much prefer the feel of my PDP. It's a better grip, excellent trigger and a better magwell out of the box. The PDP is not necessarily the "better" gun but it's alot more comfortable to shoot.
@@JKLauderdale I hear you! In fact I am awaiting the arrival of the EP9 I recently ordered. Currently my PDP acts as a Home Defense Weapon and I have gotten an extra 15 round and 17 round magazine for extra capacity.
@@dougt5357 EP9 is a blast to shoot but there's a roller delayed option coming to the States in 2H 2024 for the same price that also runs Glock mags. I saw it at IWA, middle-eastern company... Ranger Arms IIRC? Regardless, you can't go wrong with Extar's EP9. Mine's been rock solid with well over 1500rds through it
Youre a standup guy. You spent waaaaaay more time on your correction about the modularity than you needed to. That jut speaks to your integrity. Thorough vid!
I bought a psp c poly. And I love it. I want the pro sd. The pro x they just released is interesting. Going to get my wife one. She doesn’t like her Glock 26.
Man.. Thanks for showing.. All these pistols look really good.. I might have missed it .. but do you remember if any of these Walther versions have a simple thumb safety??
Literally was just talking with my local shop. Either cz shadow 2 usp elite or pdp metal thank you for all the insite 15 mins and im already liking the setups
I’ll say it. These triggers are the best trigger on a striker fired pistol hands down. I’m a Glock guy and have used Glocks for over 20 years in duty and a competitive capacity. I have two Glock performance triggers one in my Gen 4 17 and Gen 5 17. The Walther PDT triggers are better. Stock Glock to stock PDP trigger. No comparison. PDP wins.
Best trigger, most intuitive, best red dot platform, grip texture is as good as they claim, grip angle and hook helps, slide serrations are better= OVERHYPED? Sounds perfectly hyped. Love your channel.
I got one when they first came out I had no designated range target pistol and I have 4 other walther pistols my pdp is a full size at the time the longest barrel was the 4.5 so there was one available I never had such good groupings as close as and inch apart the trigger was the curved one right out of the box I saw no reason to replace it I eventually got a threaded barrel I have a 45acp can that fires everything from that down the barrel was factory so it set me back a few bucks I haven't made the jump to red dots yet so I purchased a set of suppressor height iton sights to see over my can they work great they even have a large tritium insert in the front 2 smaller in back brightest I've ever bought I wish sometimes I waited fot the pro with 🎉all the mods on it for the price of my threaded barrel I could of gotten all of this stuff for what my pistol cost but I had know idea they would be comming out with these upgrades and it's stupid at this point to sell one and buy another plus I'm quite happy with mine it works well with all types of ammo.
Gzzzzzz I'm kicking myself in the butt because i just stumbled onto your channel and boy i can tell that you all are thorough just by how detailed you were with this video. I'm instantly a fan and I'm locked in from here on out. Great stuff!!!
I've have REALLY been enjoying your content since I found the channel recently. Just realized you're 45 minutes from me and I'm 100% coming to train!!!
It is well worth the time and money. I flew out from Wyoming to train with Gary and PTS. Needless to say I’m coming back out to take four more classes this summer. You won’t be disappointed
@@clorofenol the 4inch shoots shockingly flat and you barely feel the recoil. They both shoot very similar to high end equal barrel length 2011’s. Of course the 5” match shouts slightly better but the 4” shoots better than any Glock or other striker fired pistol I’ve shot.
This was a great video extremely helpful. I can’t believe I watched the whole thing. I usually watch about 10 minutes. I have a Walther PDP and it is absolutely amazing. Thanks a lot for your feedback.
I have an M&P and a Glock 45 MOS. I love the M&P, but as a leftie I hate the slide release. Also, that trigger is awful and my job doesn't let us modify triggers. I used to hate Glocks but that 45 is so nice, especially with the dot. One of my supervisors picked up the PDP after they told him he couldn't use his P320 and after he let me handle it, my next pistol will definitely be a PDP.
I have a Q4SF and have been on the steel frame train ever since I owned it. They released the 4.5inch which is what I have been asking for years. I think that is going to be a pinnacle striker fire model.
Got a PDP compact with the 4" barrel and the Holosun SCS-PDP red dot mounted directly to the slide. Puts a smile on my face every time I pick it up, and one of my most favorite pistols to shoot.
Great review. To add... Pdp like the ppq come with the stepped chamber. The guard around the magazine release is great. Keeps you from accidently palming the magazine out or driving the magazine release into your opposite hand ,keeping the magazine from releasing. I personally own a pdp 5in full size odgreen and 4in compact. Very reliable and accurate after 5000rd per pistol.
You got a new subscriber. I'm extremely interested in the PDP as my new CCW. You're the first UA-camr to hit on several key facts I was wondering about. Excellent review.
The most complete and imo the most accurate. I own the F, the Q4 SF, Q5 SF match and the Q5 polymer and the Q4 is so great I bought a second one. In fact it’s so good I shoot it more than anything except my Wilson EDC x9s. If you want a great gun this is it. It’s one of the most underrated guns out there.
Now you need to shoot and review their new PDP Pro-X (4” slide, 5” frame, Parker Mountain Machine comp) that they just released. They’ve also got some other version like the Pro-E (same as the pro SD, but minus the threaded barrel), the PDP Professional (comes with an ACRO cut for direct mounting). I am hoping that Walther releases a steel frame version of the Pro-X. With the comp and the additional weight of the steel frame, that would be a stupidly flat shooting gun
@paramounttactical I have the PDP Compact Pro SD 4.6 w/Streamlight TLR-1 HL. What holster do you recommend? What belt did you use for this review. Great review. Thanks
I can’t recommend Dara Holsters enough. They’re better than any of the Safariland holsters I have and just as good as the GCode holsters. We’re dealers for both of those and setting up to be a Dara Holster dealer as well. I’ve just been super impressed with them. The belt and accessories are G Code.
Great video. I am always happy you like Walther so much over there. Some freinds of mine work there and built the guns here in Germany. It makes me kind of proud.
I’m new to the Walther world. I’m a Canik guy. I want to get into Walther. Which would you recommend as my first Walther for concealment? I’m 5’11”, 183 lbs and long, piano fingers.
Great review! ALL the Walther's, I'm interested in . I'll probably give my VP9SK to my son and grab a 4" steel. I just like the feel of steel (P01 & 85 combat). Do you think a comp would be needed on a steel pistol?
@paramounttactical at this point would you recommend the base level PDP over a Glock 19 for your training students? (future student looking to train with you)
According to Walther CEO in this video "NEW Top-Tier Duty Pistol: The Walther PDP Pro" the ACRO red dot mounts directly.... So there is difference in slide cutout with the none pro?
So of course, Safariland doesn’t make a duty holster for the 5” match full steel frame.. My question is, can you put the magwell from this one to the 4.5 frame?? Can you get this part separately? Also, can you build one of these into the configuration like a Glock 19X? Shorter slide-full sized grip without the overhang of the dust cover
hello i have a question ii hope you can help after watching this i bought Walther PDP Pro SD Compact Optic-Ready Semi-Auto Pistol - 17+1 Round Capacity 4.6 and i cant seem to find a holster for it can you suggest one please. this iis my first gun. i'm new here and love your content thank you .
Same (almost)! I switch between the PDP 4in Compact and the PDP-F 3.6. Both great but very different resets. The slide travel on the PDP-F is almost 2x longer than the PDP Compact. I love them both.
I think Walther made a major marketing blunder by putting that F on that piece of equipment. They should’ve made it for a slim or something. Why would you advertise to one particular person?
I get where you coming from about the first amendment and second amendment and UA-cam burying videos in the algorithm and different things like that. But that has not been my experience on UA-cam at all. Some years ago I started getting into first amendment audit videos and I get recommended first amendment audit videos every day since then. I even get recommended first amendment audit videos from auditors that I don't even follow. I think it recommended videos from years ago that I never saw. And then as far as second amendment videos I recently started getting into protection devices and carrying videos and review videos on different type of pistols and shotguns. And once I started searching for these videos I've been getting recommended at least a dozen videos from pistols to shotguns to sites to conceal carry on a daily basis.
Co-witness iron sights. For 90% of optics, by the time you add the adapter plate it makes the irons useless. You need to buy suppressor height sights for them to co-witness. Fix that, and it’d be a 10.
Late to the video but i noticed online the specs for the 4.5 steel and 5.0 steel are the same but the pictures look vastly different (looking at the trigger mostly), any idea if the 4.5 carrys the same trigger as the 5.0 or if its closer to how the 4.0 is? If so 5.0 is where my moneys going, thanks ahead of time
Love the PDP. It is my EDC. Only issue is absolutely ZERO distribution when it comes to OEM parts. Why are OEM parts hard to find and out of stock? I like to source parts to stock. It took 3 months for walther to stock up on 4 inch barrel which i was looking for sometime last year. I cant find their trigger return spring anywhere. Their slide lock is out of stock and ive been checking for 2 months now. I've heard of aome guy named Earls but only way you find him is word of mouth bevause when you type in the part you're looking for on google, he doesn't show up as a search result. This is the only reason i might go back to my M&P 2.0.
I'm not trying to be critical (I have a 4" Compact) but, have you put 15k rounds through your Walther that you are already looking for replacement parts (slide lock?)? I hear you about the 'stocking' issue. I get e-mails from Walther all the time and when I go to look for some item I might want it is 'out of stock' (normally spare magazines).
I like the video, however, Canik triggers are just as good. I have Walthers/Canik/HK and Hk VP9 are great triggers, but Walther and Canik has the better trigger. Aesthetics, the VP9 looks better, and ergonomics are phenomenal. But trigger, Canik rivals walther very very very close.
I honestly don't even remember how i got turned onto the PDP's but i own a few of them now and their all decked out with the toys and goodies. But i will say this about them, that 5 lbs trigger is definitely cap, cause these are the 1st guns I've ever shot that its beyond hard for me to prep the trigger without sending one down range by accident. Lol. Its like a 1.8 lbs trigger LOL. Awesome gun, and awesome triggers. Salute to the team that built these guns.
My first pistol is a PDP-F 3.5. It's my concealed carry EDC. I did some homework and this was the best bet. I really love it and am so glad I have mine. I also have the Halosun SCS PDP optic.
I was a long time coming around to the polymer striker fired gun. Not a red dot guy. I like the flex of the polymer frame, what reallrsold mu on the Golck was Chuck Taylor's decades long test of a Glock...lost round count I read was something over 330,000 rounds. great information as he went over each failure and a remedy to mitigate that particular problem, I would highly recommend checking out Chuck Taylor's work with the Glock pistol.
@@ThomWilliamson-i2e don’t get stuck in paradigms. Be willing to evolve. Under every objective measure red dots offer superior performance. Don’t take so long to come around next time. Thanks, Gary
Perfect Insight! I'm getting the PDP Pro SD 5.1 Full Size, but I want the Steel Frame! It's just outside of my budget at the moment... I want it BAD tho! held it when considering the PDP Pro, looked at the wife while holding the steel frame and she gave me the "The look" so I knew it was a no go lol I can't wait to set the money aside for that one tho.
Walther has always been up there near the top. The PPQ was The First Striker Fired Pistol to have a Fully Cocked firing pin. But they got it down right so you dont have to worry about them going off in holster or when dropped. The glock and alot of others have a partially cocked firing pin so when you pull the trigger you finish cocking it. They replaced the PPQ cause it was not OR. The PDP improves on everything, OR, grip, texture, etc., but no more 45acp.
I love my PDP 4” full size. I would definitely add a Zr tactical recoil spring 15lb which helps with the recoil. Pistol is a little on the snappy side with the 19lb stock recoil spring.
Really nice, in-depth video. I've had mixed feelings on the PDP's since they came out, but to be fair I have not had a chance to shoot one yet. I wish that Walther would have gone with an aluminum alloy frame rather than steel from a concealed carry perspective.
They have polymer line for that but IMO none of the PDP line is really a ccw centric handgun. They’re fine, like any full size/compact for OWB but like every double stack, it’s not gonna carry comfortably IWB. So if you’re going OWB and you’re concerned with weight, go with a compact 3.5 or 4” polymer. There’s no advantage of aluminum over polymer. The fight difference isnt enough to matter and there’s no other advantage of an aluminum gun. If you’re going with steel, you want the weight and mitigating recoil is the primary goal.
The Holosun eps (and probably the eps carry) will co-witness with the stock sights. It’s like a lower 1/10 or something, like the sights are at the very bottom of the optic, but it works and I actually kinda prefer the sight picture. The sights are usable but not cluttering up the optic window.
I noticed that many presenters say “weapons” when speaking about firearms. As a pro 2a lawyer, I can say the gun control debate features the term “weapons” vis a vis “guns” “firearms” “pistols” or “rifles”. In my opinion, we fuel the control proponents by demonizing our competition, hunting, and defense “tools!
@@jamescook1745 bro, if you think you’re going to win the 2A debate playing semantics, IMO you’re misguided. Like the idiotic “sporting rifle” campaign the NRA pushed for so long instead of AR15. Did that change one single person’s mind? No. Does it make us look and sound weak? Yes. That approach is why the NRA sucks and is so ineffective compared to FPC or NAGR. An AR is a fighting rifle/weapon, so just stop. It’s the best tool for fighting off a tyrannical government, foreign invaders or dirtbags breaking into your home and threatening you and your family. Let them call it whatever. They’re not taking my property or violating my rights no matter what. They’re weapons and word games aren’t going to change the facts or win anyone over. All we need to win is Americans with courage, not a thesaurus.
That is on Walther about the frame and slide compatibility. They do need to say a bit better only within a series. I have the 5 inch compact and am thinking of getting the 4 inch model. My biggest gripe is my 5 inch has the 1.0 optic cut that really sucks. No matter what I do my optic comes loose even with blue lock tight. The C and H plate is not great they use without having more engagement with the slide and the gap in the rear.
You can even see how much flatter the steel frame match shoots compared to the polymer. Would you say the compact steel frame shoots better than the polymer match 5inch? And would the 5inch on a full size frame shoot better than a 5inch compact frame?
Ehhh… it’s close between the compact steel frame and the 5” polymer match. The steel frames just shoot and feel better overall. There’s no doubt about that.
It’s released. The Steel Frames are just hard to find but we allocated some from our suppliers so check our website regularly and recommend you sign up to our newsletter. We’ll have a listing on our website soon. We will be getting some soon but they won’t last long. Thanks for watching! -Gary
Any recommendations on a mid-height BUIS for lower 1/3 co-witness or lower on a full size PDP with a factory RMR/SRO plate? The problem is that while the optic-cut is very low and deep into the slide (nice) the factory irons are way too low (disappointing) and are not visible with any red dot optic at all, except for SCS, which is the only direct mount without an adapter plate. I don’t like the ones on Walther’s website (due to being blacked out) and they don’t give the specs/dimensions for HEIGHT, only width on the website. I called Walther, they don’t know their own specs for height because they said the taller sights they sell are 3rd party made in Germany. 🤷♂️ Hoping for AmeriGlo’s. TIA🙏🏻
@@dougt5357 may I ask the height of your front and rear irons? And is it lower 1/3? I’d like to avoid a full co-witness because it obscures the lower half of the optic window. Basically I want the irons barely visible as a back-up to the red dot. TIA🙏🏻
Funny. They're amazing. Fact Glock, out the box, you call an 8.5 I really need to see that slide rule in your pocket. I have probably 30 of them. The best, a Gen2 31 I carried 20 years, I'd give a 7 vs a 9 for the P229 Elite I carried as a backup. M&P, even 2.0, is maybe a 7.25. And yes, Canik beats them both, right outta the box
Sure, I guess those numbers make sense if you factor out a long track record of hard use and reliability, countless aftermarket accessories. I think there’s always going to a gap in opinion of those that have experience with firearms operationally in extreme conditions and those that just carry them around all the time with an occasional qualification. It’s all subjective. I worked for an agency that the 229 was the issued duty weapon. Nothing but problems. Incessant malfunctions, guns breaking etc… and when that agency switched to Glocks their qualification pass rate on the first attempt increased by something like 28%. 🤷♂️
I'd never heard of the PDP, walked in a gun shop I go to all the time down the street 3? years ago, saw the Walther PDP and bought it because It's James Bond's brand and it looked pretty cool. Love it, shoot it all the time, and it's accurate as hell even for my average abilities. Wife just got me the long slide PDP for my birthday. Looking forward to that one. Have lots of cool pistols, cheap ones, way more expensive ones, but I shoot my PDP 70% and the CZ 75 SP-01 20% and the rest I shoot off and on. PDP shoots great with optic, without optic, cheap ammo, more expensive ammo, just shoots nice.
@@boomee78 I got it in 2021, 2024-2021 equals 3 years. Got the 5" one this year which is the version 2.0 and has a different optics system. They're both great pistols. Have a Holosun 507 on both, solid system all the way around.
The PDPs are nice, now adopted from the german special forces KSK, the battle divers and the military police. Of course the polymer version in all FDE color with SD 5.1 barrel (4.5 slide) and Acro P2 Aimpoint, also in FDE. There is also a compact version in all grey without SD barrel with grey aimpoint. I could imagine that those are for the military police. German army internally called P14 and P14K similar to US counterpart like M9, M17. By the way they are replacing the HK P30 and Glock models.
Bought my 1st gun a month back. Went to a highly rated store nearby, and they recommended the Glock 19 and the PDP FS 4.5. After holding both, the PDP felt better ergonomically, and the weight/beefiness felt just right for me. I'm new so I don't know much but after watching your review, I'm really happy I went with the Walther. BUT, now I want the steel ver 😅
Bro, if you can afford it, get the steel with their match trigger. Definitely worth the money, but like all things try it out the range if you can. However, if you are new to shooting, the money is better spent on training and hiring an instructor.
@@resolute123 Appreciate the advice. I will definitely hire an instructor. I've gone through 1000 rounds now and feel great with my progress but I am sure there is so much more to learn that I wouldn't on my own.

Dude u dont know what your talkinging about i have had pdp since they came out and 2 were installed with deltapoint pros your giving completly crappy info the pdp allows for almost all red dots smh
@@boomee78 With all due respect. If you read my message: "...Delta Point Pro they dont even have a sight for..." that was said about sights. My bad I should have said IRON sights but I thought it was clear. Optics ready gun would be ready out of the box with suppressor iron sights. When you have to buy more gear just to get it optics ready it is not, out of the box. As far as delta point. The iron sights for delta point that Walther is selling will not work with plate 2 that you have to have with new pdps. I called and spoke with Walther. They agreed.

Just fyi....there is a final edition P99 that is still in circulation though they are going pretty quick. Look up Walther Arms to look for a certified dealer and see if you can still order it!
Correction (23:49) The Dynamic Performance Trigger ($179.00) is not available for the PDP F models. They also now have a PDP Pro-E model which is the same as the PDP Pro SD model except for the threaded barrel. The Pro-E has the mag well and Dynamic Performance Trigger but not a threaded barrel. Also, the Pro SD models (both Compact and Full Size) use the 18 round mags. The regular PDP models use different mags. The PDP compact uses a 15 round mag and will not take the 18 round mags. Use of the 18 rd mags in the compact models will damage the extractor. The PDP Full size use the 18 rd mags. The lips on the top of the 15 & 18 rd mags are slightly different on each mag.
Thanks for the review, I just picked up my PDP Pro full size with the Acro P2. This is replacing my PPQ as my duty pistol. I love the ergos and the flat face trigger and this is my first introduction to pistol mounted red dots and so far I’m loving it.
Sold my P99 Final Edition because the polymer frame felt loose, vibrated, poor harmonic. Sold my F Series because the grip was too small for my Lg/ExLg hands. Sold my Compact 4". Like my Glock 19X better. My Full Size 5" is a keeper.
very good analysis Thank you for taking the time and share. I have one with Sf and Perf Trigger and love it …. much fun to shoot . The only other 9mm i would call better performing is my Sig 210 but sure it is a 9mm for pression shooting but on that area you still can not beet it… Rg Bernd
Here's a weird PDP fact I figured out last night. I mess with my pistols when wife and kids go to bed because I'm old and I don't know how to work on cars or do any woodwork at all. I like Canik pistols quite a bit as well. I can take the Canik TP9-SFX slide and put it on the Walther PDP 5" grip and vice versa. Also Canik Mags work in the PDP and vice versa. Recoil springs largely identical. Not sure why anyone would swap the slides other than for fun or to see which barrel shoots better all things being equal but it's kind of interesting. I think it works with the Rival but I don't have one of those so who knows. Doesn't work on the Mete.
🤔 that is interesting. Have you tested the mags live fire? It’s one thing if they seat in the mag well, it’s another if they cycle properly. I’m also curious if you’ve tested the slide swap live but for legal reasons would encourage you not to. But only for legal reasons.
@@paramounttactical I have tested the mags on both. I too am a veteran. US Navy submarine vet 73-79.
You made an excellent choice.
Extar's EP9, PSA's Dagger and my G19 allow me to run a single platform with no stress about remembering what magazine goes with which firearm at 3am
That being said, I much prefer the feel of my PDP.
PDP wins.
Mainly a CZ guy. Picked up the PDP Pro SD and it's now my nightstand gun. Don't shoot it often but it is an absolute tack driver.
Steve Garvey called. He wants his forearms back.😄
Best trigger, most intuitive, best red dot platform, grip texture is as good as they claim, grip angle and hook helps, slide serrations are better= OVERHYPED? Sounds perfectly hyped. Love your channel.
Been carrying a 3.5" F - been thinking it needs a bedside mate. 4 seconds into the video and I know this is gonna get expensive! pressing play>>>
Welcome to the Paramount family! I look forward to meeting and training with you in person!

It is well worth the time and money. I flew out from Wyoming to train with Gary and PTS. Needless to say I’m coming back out to take four more classes this summer. You won’t be disappointed
You're so lucky. Would love to train with this guy.
@@paramounttactical How about the 4 inch vs 5 inch steel frames? How do they compare recoil wise and flat shooting?
They have a tendency to get a little over the top with the sales pitch. So, I'll just say the Walther products are the best in every category.
I own the PDP Pro Compact and the Q4 SF..I agree the Q4 is AMAZING….ESPECIALLY when I paid only $899. It ‘s my home defense pistol

I thought I was done buying ..now you’ve sent me down another rabbit hole.😮👍
You’re (and all us gun enthusiasts) never done buying. The sooner you accept that, the happier you’ll be. 😂
The more the better!
@paramounttactical you're right..I'm a gun junkie and will never stop.
Just found your channel. Love your approach and presentation style. Very informative. You got a new subscriber.
(future student looking to train with you)
If you plan to use an optic now or in the future, yes. Without question.
I'm a Walther fanboy so I rock a standard 4" PDP in the winter and carry a PDP F during the spring and summer (3.6") so I of course I love this video
Out of curiosity what would take a SF model to a 10 from a 9.5?
Co-witness iron sights. For 90% of optics, by the time you add the adapter plate it makes the irons useless. You need to buy suppressor height sights for them to co-witness. Fix that, and it’d be a 10.
@@paramounttacticalI suspected that would be answer, thanks the reply.
I'm in a similar boat. Did the research and purchased a PDP 4.5 as my first pistol. Waiting for it to be delivered to the shop.

I recently got a Sprinco guide rod and recoil spring (red) set for my 4" Compact. Haven't gotten to the range yet to try it out.
Great video man. Rumble is, so far, being a great platform. I do agree they are a bit clunky.
Hey, he is a former green beret! That’s cool! DOL!
The sights are usable but not cluttering up the optic window.
if you have issues with yhe recoil... ZR Tactical has a 15 pound steel guide rod that is sent from heaven.. Makes a huge difference
Something to note. The F series will not accept Walthers DPT. The triggers are different might be the reset function.
Good to know. Was looking for examples of this online.
great review, thanks for being so thorough in your reviews. Not many gun tubers you can trust these days but I trust your reviews.
Subbed. Guns are illegal where I’m from but this stuff is interesting as hell, especially with how much info you provide. 👍🏼

@@paramounttactical thank you! I also enjoyed the video. I agree the PDP is near or at the top of the striker fired category.
Just order walther pdp professional acro model💪

Hoping for AmeriGlo’s.

@@dougt5357 may I ask the height of your front and rear irons? And is it lower 1/3? I’d like to avoid a full co-witness because it obscures the lower half of the optic window. Basically I want the irons barely visible as a back-up to the red dot. TIA🙏🏻
@@JC-hd4rj Lower 1/3. They are the 'low MOS' height sights for Glock 19 and other Glock models.
Funny.
They're amazing. Fact
Glock, out the box, you call an 8.5
I really need to see that slide rule in your pocket.
I want an F series with a small comp from the factory and the flat face performance trigger and mag well, like the pro sd.

The pdp was not out years ago its only been out 3 years. Those were different modles like the ppq or the p99
This video came out before all that
Bought my 1st gun a month back. Went to a highly rated store nearby, and they recommended the Glock 19 and the PDP FS 4.5. After holding both, the PDP felt better ergonomically, and the weight/beefiness felt just right for me.

Very informative video thank you. I’ve had my PDP 4” for about 18 months and Walther has earned a lifelong loyalty with this firearm.
Have y’all tried the cz 10 pc?
@@Bill-cr8dw yes. I have one and used it extensively.
The Super Terrain serations and The Oversized Trigger Guard are intended to work well with Gloved Hands.
This is a great video. What is the Red dot on all these models. Is that your recommendation? Thanks
I can't remember which way it does this but the mags shoot perfectly but either the Canik doesn't lock back after Walther mags or the other way around. Like the review, I just got on Rumble a couple of days ago so it's one of my first subscriptions.
@@BB-yh5rd good intel! I appreciate you sharing that information. This is exactly what my vision for this channel is, a community sharing experiences and information. Iron sharpens iron.
Thanks for watching!

@@paramounttactical I spent the first 30 years of my life split between the Idaho side of Yellowstone and NE Brazil, pretty random and opposite climates, but both places have tons of guns. Idaho has so many guns that I always thought it was weird that some family didn't have any, usually from somewhere else. At least get a Ruger 10/22 or a basic shotgun. Been to W.VA a few times, place gets a way bum rap, cool people and an entirely different form of beautiful mountains.
Heads up move. No one's perfect. You fixed it. Keep going with humility, focus, and a sense of mission. Thank you.
