- Let’s jump into how to use Seafoam in a rotor engine specifically my 2005 Mazda rx-8. Below is what you will need to do this. Remember this is just a how to video and if improperly done could cause damage. Also be aware it can foul your spark plugs which are very expensive for this car. Always do tons of research before using Seafoam.
Seafoam I used:

1/4 hose:

Spark plugs needed (2 trailing and 2 leading) www.amazon.com/NGK-Laser-Irid...
Premix video:

You don’t need to disconnect fuel pump fuse, just press accelerator all the way down while cranking. It cuts fuel automatically for the purpose of deflooding the engine.
If your engine is flooding buy a civic lol
The fuel pump won't run while cranking with the ESPS unplugged. No need to do anything else for fueling
4:00 “I’ll leave a link to some hose you can pick up”😂
Ayo 😂😂
Look at the production quality!! Got a cool little opening and everything!! I was looking forward to seeing how the car performed and if you believed Seafoam made a difference in it. Interesting stuff. Can't wait to see more!
those smoke rings where bomb af.
Good video. Besides spark plugs, keep plug wires and coils on hand. The seafoam cleanse may not only foul your spark plugs, but it might pop your coils if the associated plug is very fouled.
That's not the throttle position sensor, it's the Eccentric Shaft Position Sensor ...and you don't remove it, you disconnect it.
Change plugs every 15k miles? Thies should be rated 100k +
Awsome video though, your the man!
Thanks. Pre mixing fouls out plugs and if driving a rotary hard it is smart to change these plugs out very often.
Dude the 13B-MSP isn't even rated for 100k miles. If you think spar plugs are expensive stick to toyota lol
Any reason not to just take the vacuum off the brake servo?
If I wanted to clean my clogged catalytic converter with seaform would I put the seaform in those same two hole or somewhere else?
No. You remove it
How in the world do you pass emissions?
Nevermind, saw the Florida plate.
@@steveramos1452 lmao. Yeah never had emisions. Actually first year I drove we had emisions and then they dropped it. Of course you could register 15miles away even back than with no emisions
@@steveramos1452 I love that I can buy any car and bring down to any corner and have full exhaust no cat installed for $100. Only thing I hate is insane amount of Diesel trucks rolling coal and lifter beyond what's needed.
If you want to pass emissions don't buy a Rotary lol or hold onto your cat
My neighbors trying to call the cops if I'm doing this.
Omg I thought the same thing. My neighbor came out to make sure I didn't catch something on fire. And then I took it out on road and smoked out someone behind me. Crazy dangerous so be careful
@@petescarport I just got 2 cans of this to try but unfortunately I did plugs last month so seafoam is on hold while I find somewhere to do it anyways.
You called the E-Shaft pos. sensor so many names but never the right one lmao
Have never heard e shaft but when I Google it comes up with crankshaft. But yea sometimes when recording (and this is everyone) you draw a blank. We try to fix the mistakes but sometimes it takes a comment. Always appreciate people filling in and educating me. Thanks for the insight
Nevermind realized you meant eccentric shaft
4oz per tank? You may as well not premix. The minimum is 4 oz per 10 gal in a Rotary.
@Aaron Stubbs The joke went over your head didn't it? .5oz per gal is the way to go though lol
@Aaron Stubbs I mean 4oz in 8 gal lol mine has a 17 gal tank therefore 8oz per tank minimum, but hey I've only been working on them for 16 years so what do I know 🤷♂️
If you just want smoke to come out of your exhaust try extra virgin olive oil. It will be much cheaper than that stuff, smell nicer and will remove just as much carbon. If you have ever stripped an engine you will see that these deposits need to be chiselled off. But, hey, marketing is more powerful than sense.
Not to argue anything your saying except; On what planet is olive oil cheap?
Planet Aldi?
Does that really work? I want to Seafoam my engine but I’m concerned about my apex seals or fouling up the spark plugs.
@@hiddenrotor3377 i use Coconut oil for the engine and Lavender oil to clean omp system
Has anyone tried ATF through that vacuum input? Supposedly it helps the Apex seals expand to provide more compression and less carbon monoxide output. Trying to get one smogged in California.
Waste of time
