I am so pleased to hear that your medical issues were cared for properly. Diagnosed with stage 3 pancreatic, whipple surgery, 7 months of chemo, funeral arrangements made 2 1/2 years ago, and oncologist and surgeon both say, now, I have "years." For the most part, like it never happened. Pretty trippy. Stay well.
My Girl "Filipina" is perfect for me...she is so kind and caring and considerate of people. She is a great chef and quite frankly pampers me. I do pamper her as well....I live to...she is the warmest ray of sunshine in my world.
What a beautiful love story. Tens of thousands of us Men are on this same path & journey, to find this love & compassion in these later chapters of our life. Can't wait to see the islands in January. Mahalo to the pair of you🤙🏽
I must admit that I rarely give praise for such an honest and succinct analysis of the Philippines and the tenants of relations there...But you have a direct and great heartfelt narrative here. Men should listen, as a smart makes fewer mistakes...A wise man learns from others' mistakes and does not repeat them. I am learning these lessons from experiences and looking at what is going on in the Islands even today. Your attention to what makes the Filipina a great woman in almost every aspect is stated here... And it great effect too. This great content and the beautiful photo collage do not hurt either! Everything you have said is true in my book! Peace
Very nice summary of what you achieved by being patient, smart, and authentic in your search for a permanent relationship. My path to Filipina happiness was much different than yours, but the outcomes are ditto, ditto, ditto! Glad you navigated your way through the health challenges and are on a dietary path that works for you. God Bless all the thousands of high quality Filipinas that are “life artists” bringing happiness to their partners.
Being treated so well & caring-like was so unusual for me, I felt “guilty” or “undeserving” or something like that in the beginning. It was weird. But when I did li’l things for her such as me visit her town instead of her having the travel burden (to take the train 1.6 hours one-direction), Meet & hang with her work-friends (& enjoy it, not act like it’s an obligation), buy her small things like an inexpensive night-market dress, proudly introduce her to a work-mate of mine when we came across him while doing a nice riverside stroll, talk to her boss to bust her outta “work jail…”. When I saw how happy that made her, I then began to feel alright about accepting the nice-ness she brought me. It was unusual nice-ness for me. I’ve never had anybody else do my laundry for me. (I learned to do my own in 6th grade.) She just felt she ought to TCB for me, and I had zero fear about giving her my apartment/building keys. She’d do all these “take care” things with real smiles & still hug me. She made me feel good about myself. My American ex-wife & earlier relationships were not monsters by any stretch. …but by comparison…

I am very very happy for you and your videos have helped me and lots of other people.. I am happy for you brother and tell your beautiful wife I said hi😊
Great blog and topic Reekay. It’s been said that 90% of our happiness in the Philippines, will come from being with the right Filipina. And 90% of our misery, will come from being with the wrong Filipina. You commented that your loving wife is always taking inventory throughout your home, as to what you might be running low on. Why oh why, why? Oh, why, restaurants and businesses in the Philippines do the same??? All of the bloggers comment on going to businesses and restaurants, only to hear them say, “we’re out of stock”, or “out of that menu item, today.” If businesses/restaurants would make one person, and only one person in charge of making sure everything is in stock during their shift, and fire them immediately on the spot, if they fail, that problem would go away…
One of the things you said in this video gave me a chuckle as I said something about this in my mind as I watched one of your other videos and that is the smile. It’s a wonderful thing to receive an honest smile and Vi was in the video I mentioned and I saw her smile and thought “there is one happy lady” and it was all because she got to pick a favourite fruit from a tree on the side of the road on an outing with you. I know there’s much more to it and it definitely stands up to your claims how you both work to keep each other happy and the value of appreciating the little things in life…;)
I have to congratulate you for finding your wife. So many people go through life and never what the 2 of have together. Finding someone that truly loves and cares for you is very difficult. Hopefully, when I get there I will be 1/2 as lucky as you 2.
Definitely the kind of life I would want if I was to live over there. As I've commented before, my health isn't the best either. But I've had better results with low stress and healthy living. Even clean air has made a big difference (thanks for your previous recommendation on that; didn't know the difference until I paid attention). The term "wellness" never came to mind before, but this kind of living would definitely fit the bill. Thanks for the positive video and best of luck with the "pain"!
You getting sick multiple times was the ultimate devotion test for both of you. Glad to see the two of you still together. When you are with an east EU woman the story is similar, especially if she is from a smaller town/village, knows how to cook and she can't stand any dirt in the house. My woman washes every shoe on the rack, every single evening and this has been going on for 11 years now, her mother does the same thing. We now have a 7 yo daughter and living as a family. It was a rocky start, but we never lost sight of one another and we both prioritize one thing, above all, our family. She was raised like this from birth. So are Filipinos by the way. We have tons of Filipino neighbors and friends here and the similarities are endless.
Excellent Video. I'm Glad How you Break Down how to Properly Vet and Look out for Red Flags in a Woman Prior to Dating her or Even Considering to take her Serious in the Future. Keep up the Great Work Homie. 👍👍👍
I found a good Christian Virginia woman that the description of a province girl. I only have met one of these woman in Southwest Virginia. Your description of your wife is what I have lived 25 years. I have a lady that was pure at age 32, she thought she would be an old maid. She worked as a job for 20 years then quit to raise our son and helped with my business, now son has graduated college and I am retired, she is back to work. God has blessed me so.
As a guy from the US this sounds like a dream. A happy women keeping busy instead of sitting on the couch staring at a screen seems impossible here. The problem is I can't live there for a while because of work. It's going to have to be some frequent vacations I guess.
Excellent personal narrative supporting your wise challenge for men to set our bar high for relationships. I appreciate all your videos but was especially warmed and encouraged by this one. Every blessing to you both for many years to come!
No surprise to you, I am sure Reekay, but I listened to this one about you and your wife and said to myself that you were indeed describing my wife!! I said--hold the phone Barney--you mean there is more than one of these just unbelievably happy, cheerful, hardworking, feminine, beautiful brown-skinned, petite little women out there--singing around the house, playing Jose Mari Chan Christmas music at this time of year--cooking up a storm and making the house smell so wonderful all year long--who if she keeps this up is going to cause me to live many years longer than I otherwise would have? Just the nicest people, as a group--the Filipinos. We are indeed so lucky. P.S. I think she's still going to be here when I'm a bit harder to deal with as I get older, too. Feminist? Bagong pinay? Not in the bloodstream. These girls come pre-programmed and God has bestowed upon us this incredible blessing. Best to You and "V". . . .
REEKEY. GOD BLESS YOU BROTHER. YOU'VE FOUND THAT SPECIAL WOMAN WHO MAKES YOU TRULY HAPPY ! I'VE BEEN WATCHING YOUR CHANNEL FOR YEARS AND ALWAYS look FORWARD FOR THE KNOWLEDGE YOU DROP. I'M A, JAMAICAN LIKE YOUR GOOD FRIEND, ORVAL, GOD BLESS HIS SOUL...WAS A WONDERFUL GUY. KEEP UP YOUR GOOD WORK THERE IN THE, PHILIPPINE. ❤
Great photography Reekay! Sorry to hear about all your hardships but sure glad everything is good now. 100% agree with your take on "good" Filipinas! My wife is my Rock.
I rarely bother watching expat vlogs as mostly not on my wave length and see so many flaws in what they believe is right and how clever they think they are. Like you say a lot is doom and gloom and you will always be a walking ATM machine when there and such like. Enjoyed listening to this vlog and really happy for you and your wife. I 've had a sample of the same so know exactly what you mean with the attention you get is wonderful. Strangely enough i started carnivore/keto diet about a month ago to improve my health and improvements already . Lost a stone in weight also so recommend it to all over 50s.
Thank you for showing me that there are some good women out there in the Philippines. That is really difficult to find where I live. I will definitely be planning a trip to the Philippines, I don't know which city yet because I've never been there before. Your wife is a tremendous woman worth her weight in gold, and I hope I will find myself a good woman when I'm able to visit the Philippines. Thanks again for showing me something I thought no longer existed. James
Refreshing to hear some positive vibes. So many channels that focus on the cons of all Asians. The most successful American/Philippine relationship. Started at a time when adds were put into newspapers by foreigners looking for love in the Philippines. An airline pilot submitted the add. Most of his responses were love letters. One was a business proposition. The woman listed her desires and needs up front. No surprises or baggage. When I met them they had been married a long time, had adult sons and were living a happy retired life on an island in Washington State.
It's much harder to assess my current relationship because of myself being in my first literal relationship (literally) whilst in my mid thirties. I honestly don't know if my relationship (with my Filipina) is good or bad as I have nothing to compare it to, and I only know how I feel. I proposed to the first Filipina I met online within months of knowing her and I have been struggling with myself both physically and mentally every step of the way. It's not in my Filipina that I doubt, but in myself and my own lack of experience and the feeling of missing out on what's out there. We're both immature in our own ways, and maybe my feelings and thoughts colliding are part of the natural process of conforming into a mature relationship.
You are a very lucky man and she is a very lucky woman .....but I am 84 and ride motorcycles and enjoy renovating ....my best friend is a gorgeous French lady of only 45 .....
I tell people that having a good sense of humor is like having good shock absorbers. Bad shocks you feel every bump in the road hate the ride, and it wears a car out faster with bad shocks. With good shock absorbers, you feel the bumps less and enjoy the ride more, and your car does not wear out nearly as quickly
I enjoy listening to your videos. Your health issues sounded so bad, i could see a partner leaving your side. She is an amazing woman and I can tell by your message in the video you know how lucky you are. Always great videos and information. I'm moving to the Philippines in February of next year. I left the US about 2 1/2 years ago. Moved to El Salvador for an adventure, i didn't speak spanish, but i survived and made friends and a life here. I plan on doing the same thing in the Philippines. I'm excited to see the culture and meet the people. Thanks again, JD
So nice to hear positive aspects of the women of this Beautiful country. I was beginning to feel that Filipino women were either back stabbers, immoral or scammers... Filipinas I know back here in the States are WONDERFUL friends, and wives to their husbands..... By way of an humble suggestion, Kindly try to have higher even balance posts... Regards
Buddy, I swear to God it’s like you’re describing my wife. Just about everything you’ve described with your wife is spot on with mine. My wife is from Argao outside of Cebu and we married nearly 14 years ago. Like you we did the LDR thing for almost a year and a half before she was able to come to the States. I’m giving some considerable thought to moving to the Philippines ourselves, but I’m taking it slow making sure I get our ducks in a row if we decide to pull the trigger. Really like your videos thank you.
Well, the diabetes is very common. I was lucky and caught mine early, took an HbA1C test, and went straight on a strict Low Carb Keto diet. I have since got my blood sugar down to normal (a 5.3) and have no symptoms. It can be done, just do it.
What is an amazing story of overcoming your health challenges and your wife sticking by you through the whole thing. I'm very glad you found keto and intermittent fasting. They are also helping my family to reverse type 2 diabetes and hopefully it will help me avoid it altogether. How difficult is it to maintain the keto lifestyle in the Philippines?
the way to stay on a keto or carnivore diet in the PH is to cook your own food at home. i don't see any other way. it's what we do. all the fast-food and restos use vegetable oils, high carb meals, not to mention the high sugar, salt and MSG used. gotta just cook at home.
@@Lifebeyondthesea thanks that's pretty much what I expected as I have to do the same thing in America. Is it pretty easy to find a variety of keto foods aka eggs, cheese, and different meats at the markets? I don't mind cooking at home either to save money. Restaurants have really lost their appeal as I've become more educated about health.
You said that your wife says “Sir” to you. Is it a very common thing in the Philippines? Any girl I meet on line, they address me as “Sir”. Makes me feel like I am the boss from their workplace.
ha!! she only says that when giving me a massage, as a joke. :) but when you speak with filipinas who are working at a dept store, fast-food, etc... they will almost always address you as, 'Sir'.
Speaking of the things a filipina will do for you… Years ago, at a place called Swagmans in Ermita (you Ausies know it), in walked a middle aged portly man with his similarly aged wife. He had on a large backpack and was quite sweaty. So the wife, without asking, decides to clean him up. She helps take off his backpack, removes his shirt, pulls out a towel, soaks and wrings it out and then proceeds to give him a towel bath. Not just a pat dry but a two fisted vigorous scrubdown, up and down his back, chest, face behind the ears, under the arms and legs - all in the wide open lobby, oblivious to the reaction of the guests. It was like baby cleanup and diaper change. I’ll never forget the sight. It was hilarious and cringey but at the same time sad and pathetic - like witnessing a well trained servant. I can honestly say that my wife loves giving me “personal care” none of which any of my previous American gfs ever did but... Please keep it private and no need to put on a show!
The first time I slept with a Filipina, I woke up with her picking out the "eye boogers" from my eyes. I thought it was amazing. I believe that Filipina were raised to take good care of men. If I'm right, then Thanks Mom!!
Easy to get sucked in 😂they're so cute and sweet in general 😍 I fall in love every time I call eBay customer service 😂 the way they speak English is so damn adorable 🥰
Wow! Congrats for finding what appears to be the perfect match! I hear how affectionate and grateful you are too. Just a few questions... 1) how old is she? 2) how old are you? 3) does she really call you "sir" or was that just in that moment when she also said that you should enjoy the pain? 4) what is Swedish massage? 5) do you live permanently in PH now? She really seems to be a one of a kind Filipina!
1) how old is she? she is 25. 2) how old are you? i am 60. 3) does she really call you "sir" or was that just in that moment when she also said that you should enjoy the pain? no, just as a joke when she gives me massage. :) 4) what is Swedish massage? hard to explain, but it's a pleasant massage. shiatsu, on the other hand is a bit painful. 5) do you live permanently in PH now? i've been living in the PH since 2012. :)
top/usual reasons are (but not limited to)... -- she turns out to be materialistic. begins asking for bigger trips, money for emergencies, family, etc. -- lying. turns out she lied about not having kids. lied about never having dated a foreigner before. lies about not having a filipino b/f. lies about being single when she is actually married. -- cheating. is either still hooking up with a filipino b/f, or has several foreigner "b/f"s sending her money from outside the ph, whom she will entertain when they return. -- basic incompatibilities. doesn't jive with your preferences. either too loud, too shy, easily angered or offended, no sense of humor, etc.
19 minutes and 12 seconds of video. 19 minutes and 12 seconds of me recalling my past *HORRIBLE* relationships with western women. 19 minutes and 12 seconds of pure envy of what you got in your life. I really need to come over to the Philippines.
@@Lifebeyondthesea I have been following several channels for about 3 years and when I found yours, I can honestly say it is one of the best. Just cuts the BS and go straight to the straight talk. Appreciate this channel.
the ones in the vids, i create with AI. but in the PH.. i'd say about 6% are a 7 thru a 10. with maybe 1% being a 10. but, they are very approachable and i've dated many since 2012.
Great video. You are a very blessed man. So glad your health issues are gone. You have a real keeper. Oh! Can you tell me what PARTICULAR AI do you use for all the lovely woman you put up there. Thanks. Geoff.
Every once in a while, you will find that diamond, and she checks all the boxes, but how do you protect yourself if she is paper married, and you want to visit her province?
the adultery laws only apply to evidence there is a sexual relationship happening. meeting her at the mall (or any public place) does not meet the legal requirements for adultery. even less so if she has a sister or friend tag along. but taking her privately to a hotel room.. that's when things get legally dicey.
Man...if she had a twin I'd be interested...hehe. This is kinda like ordering a car. Rice isn't that bad unless you have underlying medical conditions. Maybe all those problems came up to help you find a good wife, sounds like they were worth it ;) I never got how old your wife is to cook like that. Do alot of filipinas cook at ages 22-28ish? I was with a Thai girl for years, she did all these things you mentioned, she was a really good person. The most unfortunate thing is, I could never really love her for some reason no matter how hard I tried.
@@Lifebeyondthesea That's incredible, you'll pretty much never see that in the US, their to busy playing with their phones to learn anything. Thanks for your reply, your a very bless man.
Twenty four years ago I was on dating sites that had Filipino women on it, some 10000 women, and with one or two exceptions, I considered them to be very unattractive, and that's putting it nicely. The one or two nice ones were being overwhelmed with attention. I've never been to the Philippines, so I had no idea what they could look like. Your wife is a stunner. I'm happy, though, as I found a wonderful Ukrainian girl who has some Asian in her ancestry and have been happily married for going on 23 years. Not happy with the war in Ukraine, and hope it ends soon. This should not be happening in the modern era, not in Europe.

Being Australian experiencing this type of treatment from a woman is mind-blowing.
It ain't all roses and beer ,,, but find the right gal and it sure as heck beats 99% of Aussie girls

Excellent personal narrative supporting your wise challenge for men to set our bar high for relationships. I appreciate all your videos but was especially warmed and encouraged by this one. Every blessing to you both for many years to come!
thanks! wishing you well in your adventures!
Best to You and "V". . . .
That is awesome to hear, very happy for the both of you .
Hank, truly happy for you and Vee. God bless
thanks!
I have been really enjoying the content lately. Now I can say, thanks Vee!
Glad you enjoy it!
Great video.
You are extremely fortunate, (you both are) 👍👍
Great photography Reekay! Sorry to hear about all your hardships but sure glad everything is good now. 100% agree with your take on "good" Filipinas! My wife is my Rock.
A.I. generated images though. That's why the girls are perfect and the backgrounds are suitably blurred for effect.😊
Loving the carnivore life - wish I'd known about well before my 50's.
Haha, better late than never.
💯... so true ... 💯
Wow very sensible approach.
Glad you found a good woman that loves you that you married.
she is a joy, i'm glad i kept searching til i found her. :)
Awesome Awesome Awesome ❤
Have you met her in the Philippines yet?
You are a very lucky man and she is a very lucky woman .....but I am 84 and ride motorcycles and enjoy renovating ....my best friend is a gorgeous French lady of only 45 .....
life is good. :) glad to hear things are well with you also.
Well Said As Always 💯✌️
very good explanation and great photo's
good very good basic information love
Such a great channel
You make us jealous. Good for you, man!
I'm leaving for the Phillippines in 3 months, the first trip.
you are in for such an adventure. :)
Be carefull young man,be carefull.
Some good pointers. ty bro
Nice
You provide balanced content on every aspect of life there. Good and bad.
thanks! i do what i can.
Really lovely situation.
life is good. :)
lucky you
Thanks brother
You are in Heaven, a one in a million relationship.
Well, the diabetes is very common. I was lucky and caught mine early, took an HbA1C test, and went straight on a strict Low Carb Keto diet. I have since got my blood sugar down to normal (a 5.3) and have no symptoms. It can be done, just do it.
You're a lucky man. You found the perfect wife ❤
Great video and great images. Which AI do you use to create them?
mostly midjourney and stability, with some help from chatgpt.
From your lips to gods ear congratulations bro you have what we all want😊
You said that your wife says “Sir” to you. Is it a very common thing in the Philippines? Any girl I meet on line, they address me as “Sir”. Makes me feel like I am the boss from their workplace.
ha!! she only says that when giving me a massage, as a joke. :)
but when you speak with filipinas who are working at a dept store, fast-food, etc... they will almost always address you as, 'Sir'.
Keto is a wonderful lifestyle
Did you live together before marriage? How many months of the 2 years of dating did you live together?
yes, for 13-months through covid. indoors together for all of 2020 and into 2021.
I can see why a lot of people get turned off on UA-cam since they attempt to bully customers. I will look elsewhere.
❤️
How you found her..what way you are using to meet filipina. Advice needed there
we briefly chatted for about an hour, and then met in-person the following day. been together ever since. 4 years now. :)
4) what is Swedish massage? hard to explain, but it's a pleasant massage. shiatsu, on the other hand is a bit painful.
5) do you live permanently in PH now? i've been living in the PH since 2012. :)
So where do you get the models for videos
I create them using AI. :)
@@Lifebeyondthesea that is great I have always loved your content since you began
Reekay, when you say that most relationships crash/burn in the first 4-6 weeks, what kinds of reasons account for that, in your experience?
top/usual reasons are (but not limited to)...
So your love languages are Words of Affirmation and Physical Touch. Mine are the same.
19 minutes and 12 seconds of video. 19 minutes and 12 seconds of me recalling my past *HORRIBLE* relationships with western women. 19 minutes and 12 seconds of pure envy of what you got in your life. I really need to come over to the Philippines.
Just recommended your channel to another guy. Hope he listens.
thanks. sometimes they need to hear the same thing, just from another source.
@@Lifebeyondthesea I have been following several channels for about 3 years and when I found yours, I can honestly say it is one of the best. Just cuts the BS and go straight to the straight talk. Appreciate this channel.
Reekay, where do you get the photos of the gorgeous girls in your videos?
the ones in the vids, i create with AI. but in the PH.. i'd say about 6% are a 7 thru a 10. with maybe 1% being a 10. but, they are very approachable and i've dated many since 2012.
@@Lifebeyondthesea Wow!, that's amazing. AI is both wonderful and frightening all at once.😊
The most unfortunate thing is, I could never really love her for some reason no matter how hard I tried.
my wife is now 25, but she's been cooking since she was about 17 for the family. i'd say majority of filipinas know how to cook by age 22.
@@Lifebeyondthesea That's incredible, you'll pretty much never see that in the US, their to busy playing with their phones to learn anything. Thanks for your reply, your a very bless man.
Filipina woman is redundant.
Great video!
Can you do a

Phillippines and Vietnam 🇻🇳
