    I wear a simple cap on my head for TrackIR v5 It's related to VR in a sense. I used to use it in my Flight sim gig. But once I got turned on to cars, I hung up my wings, but I still employ the head tracker in Race Sims. I can also recalibrate it and position myself quite well in the car. Back forward , up or down within plenty of reason.
    This stuff here sure is cool! Nice vid!

    Awesome review. We always get the straight information from your channel. That my friend, makes you a trustworthy source and when racers are spending hard earned cash on peripherals, it is nice to know you can trust the reviewer. I almost have my rig complete. What surprises me is from your footage, the back of the seat actually flexes quite a bit more than i thought it would when pressing the brake pedal. This surprises me because I would have thought that would add a lot of hysteresis to the brake pedal input, affecting brake input accuracy and consistency. For comparison, Versteppen uses the Recaro Podium carbon fibre seat which i think he uses so he has a very stiff yet still comfortable enough seat for minimal hysteresis with brake input.

    • @JonFestinger
      @JonFestinger 5 місяців тому

      Are you sure that what you see as seat flex isn’t his motion system. That said motion systems will make you slower, so on balance, your core point is still probably correct, but it may not be the seat that’s the cause.

    • @DrR1pper
      @DrR1pper 5 місяців тому

      The pollster glass seats have that flex and I have the same with the Sabelt as well!
      I was pressing hard with both legs for the video just to sow clearly the movement of the fans but even pressing 60kg brake pedal I can see like 1cm flex on every seat I ever tested!
      I think Kevlar and carbon are with minimum flex but the prices there are stupidly expensive 😁
      About brake performance, I don’t know if that will make any difference for GT cars. For F1 it may but I’m not sure!

    Main problem with the seat, according to many people who've had it, is that after a year the mesh gets a bit "clogged" and it doesn't ventilate as well.

    • @chepilevski
      @chepilevski  5 місяців тому

      I will check that in the next months as I’m seating a lot in the seat.
      I think it makes sense to have the problem but the question is if it will totally bottleneck the air or will just need higher rpm’s as right now 2 out of 6 stages is mere then enough to me !
      Let’s see how it goes
