If you use the millennium falcon it is in a different position than where your ship normally would be. If you are using the Buick Elecktra it shows up just a normal V-Wing in the cut scenes until you actually take control of it
Oooh man, I bet Luke was giddy as a schoolgirl on a sugar rush when he found out the Rebel fleet had acquired a vintage N-1 starfighter!! (Since they'd be like working 1950s-era hot rods today by the time of the OT.) He was probably making laser and engine sound effects in the cockpit during all this like a dork. XD
ImagiTrax I think it’s the PC version he’s playing if I remember correctly the N64 version the Naboo star fighter had red instead of blue for the color the engines emit
@@BrianHarkness no the n64 also had blue coming out of the naboo star fighter. you're thinking of a different ship from the actual episode 1 starfighter game.
Interesting fact, the laser colors are based on tracer rounds. Red tracer rounds were manufactured by companies that supplied to America and its allies, whereas green tracer rounds were manufactured and used by Russia, China, and their allies.
Its so many years later, and my question of if you can destroy that imperial shuttle, let alone with footage is still unanswered... (Tried googling it, but got nothing)
Even the Y-wings bombs won't damage the lander. In Shadows Of The Empire I tried to destroy the Star Destroyer at the Skyhook battle after an hour only got it down to 99% and I even shot the globes on the bridge they didn't blow like in the movie. As a kid you don't think these things through typically that the developers designed what can ans cannot be destroyed.
@alphamone Yup, my friend came over to my house, ran the whole way there. Opened to door to find this sweaty little ginger so excited and out of breath he couldn't even tell me about the code. The code came out with the movie if I'm not mistaken.
Except as far as I know, Luke never actually flew one. This is only unlocked by cheat code, and in the actual un-cheated campaign, you do this mission in an A-Wing like everyone else in Rogue Squadron.
@plushpluhvideos For N64 version go to password menu end tape HALIFAX? then type !YNGWIE! as a second password. For PC version you have to have patch to update your rogue squadron game
DaProGamer12 Or Episode I was in pre-production/production while Rogue Squadron was in development and the developers for the latter were like, "Can we use that?"
Dear Lucas Arts, Please remake this game, the ONLY ONLY ONLY ONLY thing you should update are the graphics, even then, include an opition for "classic graphics."
When I was six years old, i played this game for the first time. It was fantastic! But my family just had one computer where it was working. Since this one was damaged i'm not able to play this game anymore... or is there any possibility? I already tried the N64 emulator for Computer, but there the game doesn't work :( PS: How often did I try to shoot this Imperial Landing Craft down :D
No, but your seeker protons and cluster missiles will lock on to it but they will just bounce off of it if you fire them at it. The original published strategy guide says it can't be destroyed.
I downloaded this for my laptop. it has win 8 and the game runs, but after every mission it stops working. Plus i have to keep installing it. Any solutions?
I figured there was some people in film production that shared this with the game production. I only unlocked it with cheats, so I wonder if it was supposed to be unlocked by finishing the game 100%.
This is the PC version. It had red flames in the N64 version because the devs were still going off of concept art. Since the PC version came out after the original N64 version, they took it out to prevent people from datamining and finding out about it, then put it back in as DLC after the Phantom Menace premiered in theaters, allowing them to patch out any potential errors
@@kaihedgie1747 I have 5 N64 copies of this game as my father loved the game so much. And one of them had the blue flamed Naboo Starfighter while the rest had the red flames. Was there a later version of the N64 game? This was always a mystery to me since my childhood.
@@theretrocube6454 Not that I know of. I've only ever played three separate copies of the game, the first being a rental back when it was new, the other being a birthday present which I lost when I moved and another copy I got many years later
@@theretrocube6454 There's a revised version of Rogue Squadron on n64 where the naboo fighter is already available from the get go without having to use cheats, it's also got the blue flames for the engines as well
You know this makes sense, because the Rebel Alliance actually had a few N-1 Naboo starfighters in their arsenal
I love how the ship you choose shows up in the cutscenes.
That's why you always use the in game engine for cutscenes.
GTA5 is the best example.
And the correct engine sound is played.

Such a beast of a fighter. As durable as an X-Wing but as fast and agile as an A-Wing.
This man predicted Mandolorian 4 years ago calling it a hot rod
The N-1 was always my favorite ship ever :)
This is an n64 game guys, it looks amazing for an n64 game.

i totaly had forgotten that the naboo starfighter had the evil green sound lazers ^^
That is not evil.
Yeah because this game was before The Phantom Menace so they didn’t know what it sounded like.
@@gochem3013 He meant evil because the lasers sound like a Tie Fighter.
Lasers are lasers. It doesn't matter what colour they are. It depends on the craft.
Interesting fact, the laser colors are based on tracer rounds. Red tracer rounds were manufactured by companies that supplied to America and its allies, whereas green tracer rounds were manufactured and used by Russia, China, and their allies.
Luke doesn’t know that the N-1 was the star fighter his father Anakin (Darth Vader) piloted in when Anakin was 9 years old.
Its so many years later, and my question of if you can destroy that imperial shuttle, let alone with footage is still unanswered... (Tried googling it, but got nothing)
You could, at least in this version with a mod. Otherwise no, you can't. You can use it to boost your accuracy stat though
The Imperial lander can't be destroyed. The published strategy guide even states this
Lol I tried destroying the Millennium falcon on corellia.
@coldplay261021 you can't destroy your wingmates besides if you leave Madines shuttle to get to the Falcon you'll fail

Is it possible to destroy the big imperial ship?
Not for a Jedi.

I remember I had to download it from a site and that’s how I got the star fighter. Memories ❤
How did you fall short on the accuracy but still get gold?
Little did Luke know that he was piloting a ship that came from his mother's homeworld
A ship that both of his parents had piloted, in fact :)
Except as far as I know, Luke never actually flew one. This is only unlocked by cheat code, and in the actual un-cheated campaign, you do this mission in an A-Wing like everyone else in Rogue Squadron.
Battle for Naboo was more or less a successor--Both are Factor 5 games, and use similar gameplay.
The ending cutscene is funny if you use the falcon :)
How do u get the exhaust blue? In my game it's red.
@TheAlmeja55
actualy, the unlock codes were not revealed until after the film came out.
@amthomas0412 Yes, there is one level you can fly a T-16 on, it's a race through the Beggar's Canyon
@plushpluhvideos

Funny how the Naboo Starfighter existed before the Phantom Menace
DaProGamer12 Or Episode I was in pre-production/production while Rogue Squadron was in development and the developers for the latter were like, "Can we use that?"
So, Rogue Squadron is where Naboo Starfighter's first appeared. Like the 1977 Marvel's Star Wars #63 with Coruscant.

The developers kept it hidden until after the movie was released

Exactly
