- 🎬 IN THIS VLOG
Welcome to our van build series. We're Malin from Sweden and Alex from the UK. At the end of the summer of 2020, after 5 months locked down in Thailand we moved to Spain, bought a van and started converting it.
In this vlog we take on the very time consuming task of insulating our whole van with, what is supposed to be the best van insulation in Spain, Kaiflex! This turned out to be quite a nightmare and it took us ages to finish!

Nice video🎥🎥
You both have great patience and persistence to do that job and it is very time consuming. All the best!
Haha! This was filmed a year ago and we’re still not finished 🤦♀️ We’ve lost our patience plenty of times along the way! Thanks for watching friend 😊💛
Good work, looks tricky, should help to keep the van at a good temp 👍
Love your videos guys! We’re sticking around for more content! Big love you other friendly uk UA-camrs!
Thanks guys! We appreciate that 😊✨
What is the name and thickness of the product that you used? How does it perform as an installation?
Hi, can I ask what thickness of Kaiflex you used on the ceiling, and also did you also cover the whole thing with som Thermo foil, or anything else? thanks
Hey there. We used 3cm on the roof, 2cm on the walls and 1cm under the floor. We did put a vapor barrier foil under the floor and behind the ply we put on the walls. Good luck!

We used kaiflex. We used 3 cm in the ceiling, 2 cm on the walls and 1 cm on the floor. It’s good unless it’s extremely cold weather of course. It’s a very popular insulation in Spain. There are similar ones, for example armaflex.
@@TimezoneJunkies thanks for the reply . I ended up using Armaflex ( USA ) from Zoro . I used 1” thick . Easy to install , I used high temp contact cement . I definitely notice a difference in both heat and cold .
@@RobertSmith-os2zj Glad it worked out for you! Enjoy!
