Amazing thank You!! I had to watch this video several times because it's so detailed, 1 question, what type of rivnuts are those used for the water tank?
Thanks! Your work is amazing, explained in a concise manner, and your demonstration helps so much to understand how to do the projects correctly. I can’t wait to see how you hook up the city water inlet, as well as solar. I am still stumped by that! You are much appreciated. 🥰🙏🏽✌🏽💖
Awesome job! I love how you mounted the tank underneath. Looks hella strong! A tip for you if you want immediate and consistent pressure from your water pump, you should put in an accumulator tank. It's like a little air pressure tank that goes just past your pump in the system. I put one in after my first build and it's amazing how much pressure I have as soon as I turn on the faucet. I also have about 20 seconds of pressure if the pump is switched off.
@@jules-vk3gvyou're replying to ME and the person in the video likely didn't get your question. You should post your question as an original comment instead of a reply to someone else's comment so it gets noticed by the video maker.
Dude, the way you bent and "jerry rig" welded that bracket, I'm over here missin' my shop days. Adding that thread insert to help secure that water tank was fucking genius. I love your work, Man.
I love this series. You are AWESOME!! I like that you show your mistakes and how to fix them. I think that is as helpful as showing it done the correct way. We all make mistakes. It's nice to know how to fix them.
Seriously, each one of your videos seems to be more professional than the next -- both in the content as well as in the videography itself. Especially loved the graphics in this one. You're such a pro. And such a great teacher. Seriously, if you aren't offering online courses on the basics of building, JMHO, you SHOULD. Amazing job.
The visual representation for this water system sir deserves a *chefs kiss* 😚👌🏽I literally went “Ohhhhhhhh” 😂 by far the most straightforward shower install on UA-cam
You are truly my inspiration, watching this has been really helping me to realize how much I have given power to other people and what they think of me, instead of chasing my dreams and believing in myself. I have struggled with stress and low esteem for too long, and it's time to change it. Thank you for sharing your journey with us and inspiring us. Wishing you the best on your journey. :)
nice little shower! however, the fewer cuts on those shower wall pieces, the better...no matter how amazingly well your cutie-pie sister caulks, *water finds a way.* also, just the cold-warm cycling, and road vibrations will lead to tiny little pull-aways from the caulk-edge interface, and water will seep in, or condensate. not too big of a deal because of your 4 coats of red guard, but let the material work for you, not against you. :)
I was also worried about that tiled shower. It would have been better to go with a one piece metal insert but I’m sure he did that bc the client wants that wall title. Vinyl is better than actual tiles but it will not hold up over time.
This tile is probably the Palram brand or similar. It is tongue in groove for most part so you already have a locking system. Caulk is additional. Considering how little the shower it used - one shower a day at most, it should hold up for a long time. The looks are stylish marble and the material is very lightweight. Sure beats ceramic or heavy glass tile. The one piece inserts (which I have) are a royal pain to clean with soap scum and water spots all over. They are butt ugly, and yellow with time becoming uglier, yuck! What choices do you have really? Metal inserts have other issues and are pricey, heavy, hard to cut, etc. Tile is too heavy. FRP sheets are hard to find in decent colors and large, heavy, cumbersome to install. Make one mistake in cut and whole sheet is ruined. This is a good solution. When it degrades, replace it.
@@douglasharley2440 Yes, you are right. Only in places though. This vinyl tile comes in 12 x 24" size so you have to cut some ends. Not too many hopefully.
So I’m back again to watch this video another time since it was posted. Every time something different makes itself clear to me. A super talented craftsman/designer.
Great Video! Awesome job giving a comprehensive guide on how to build a shower. I’m building my first van ever and this has helped me a lot. Thank you!
I can't begin to thank you enough. You actually explain how to do things so well.I'm comfortable around powertools and building but have never done plumbing and electrical, you're videos give me confidence that I can actually learn and build these things. THANK YOU DUALEX!
Thank you for the video. I really enjoy watching you build. You are so thorough and clear with your videography that I can always refer to your videos when I need info for myself. Keep up the great work!
Fantastic job and video! I can't wait for episode 3! Not many UA-camrs who are converting vans, show how they run their water lines from the driver's side to the passenger side. I look forward to how you do it! Keep up the good work!
You sir are very impressive with your knowledge and ability at such a young age. Some people can develop a good plan and some people can execute that plan, but it is the rare individual that can do both. I enjoy your videos and look forward to the next. As already said, your explanations and presentations are flawless.
Cool plumbing diagram. I'm curious tho, have you considered including a small accumulator tank for the water pressure consistency? It makes for a MUCH more pleasant user experience. Great work, I enjoy your videos.

So I am a new subscriber just found your channel today I’m trying to build a van to use during school because tuition is already high and I can’t afford living on campus so I figured Vanlife would be good and your videos when I tell you they are awesome and I loved every one of them that I’ve watched so far.
Hi, HI DualEx, I hope that you are doing great. Also, I just want to say that I love all the things you do. You are an amazing creative man, I wish you could do a little home for me. Thanks for sharing, I learn new things from you, I would like to have the ability that you have doing this. Thank you so much!!❤👍
Glad to see you back on both legs again. I have a question though. When mounting the grey water tank you drilled holes in the frame and then inserted an item with threads for mounting. I'm not familiar with that process. I'd like to be. Perhaps I'm the only person who is clueless about that. I re-ran the video in case I missed something and read the comments to see if someone else had already asked but it appears I'm alone on this. What is that process and where can I get more info? Thank you. Great video (as always) and thanks for sharing.
I was using a rivet nut tool. It’s similar to a traditional rivet gun but instead of leaving a pop rivet it leaves a threaded insert that can hold a bolt. You can get a rivet nut kit on Amazon for a relatively low price and secure things to metal very easily and securely
I believe the on demand water heaters are all powered by propane, but I’m not using any propane in this van build so these mini electric tank heaters are the next best thing. I’m glad you liked the video. Thanks for watching!
@Dual Ex did you hold off on finishing the previous build on the smaller van? I know I’m going to love the end result of this one as much as your other builds. As always your work is amazing and gets better EVERY time.
Question: Have you ever thought about designing a "rain collection system" so you won't have to constantly refill fresh water? All you need is water filters and UV lights to clean the rain water for consumption. But, you can stay off grid longer if you have a "rain water collection system". Just something to ponder. :)
Thanks for watching!
