Can't agree here. As someone that hates putting 3k for a camera, I tested a lot of variables for my line of work. Sadly if you need something that is versatile and good for run & gun scenarios, APS-C will allways fall behind fullframe in lowlight performance. Not because the ISO is not high enough, but because of the noise to signal ratio is better on full frame cameras. A good exemple is the FX30 vs the a7IV. Both very capable video cameras, but at same ISO, the FX30 is way noisier.
He already said at 4:25 to answer for your debate though. Also, 2nd base ISO on A7iv is 3200 vs Fx30 is 2500. Even at the base ISO 800, the sensor in A7IV is larger, which has more space to store proton => More light coming in, more dynamic range. Also, what I found is that Slog3 is not really optimized for Crop Sensor on Sony, so even in Day Light condition at base ISO, you will still see noise on Fx30, compare to A7IV because less dynamic range Fx30 has. Maybe, we can wait for Slog 4, or just Internal Red Raw so we can really see the improvement on Fx30 LMAO (Yes, Red is still using crop sensor and the quality is great)
Very good. I have a Sony ZV E10 and it is amazing what we can do with it. Have 3 lenses, 2 primes and 1 Zoom Viltrox 20mm 2.8, Sony 50mm 1.8 and Sony 55mm to 210mm I am enjoying work with all of them. Keep up with your amazing work. Have a wonderful day

hey last time i asked about should i get 30 mm sigma or 16 as i have 56 with me rn so again their is 23 mm sigma too. which i forgot to mention about. 23 mm which is around 35 mm of full frame as for me 16 mm seems too wide and with 23 and 30 mm i wanna go for 30 but its not a weather sealed lens and 23 is weather sealed, is 23 mm[35] good for filmaking sir or can i trust 30 mm outdoors.
I’ve only used the R3 once and I didn’t need high iso for that shoot, so honestly I couldn’t tell you. My guess would be that it’s similar performance given the R series isn’t designed for high iso sensitivity but that’s just an educated guess.
True for the ZVe10, but like I said in the video that’s not the sensors fault. It’s Sony’s positioning of the camera as a cheaper entry level option, so they don’t put the more premium features like high iso capabilities in the camera.

APSC is good aslong as you use the money you saved on the FF for buying decent lights.
M43 is better at high ISO than APSC generally though.
