Chip: 16 styles
Actually, Odd1'sout doesn't changes his art style. He mostly changes his characters living look.
For example : Then he would draw his picture of him playing with knives, and now he make them really move.
Some artist can have a consistent style while some change their art style all the time. Like for example I have managed to stick to a consistent style for about a year but a year ago I changed style a lot because my art was developing a lot.
He changed the way he draws eyes aswell
He also changed the eyes, made arms slightly shorter, and the mouths are a bit bigger. It's minor changes still, and tbh the first video and the latest look pretty similar in terms of character design.
Nothing wrong with updating the way you draw. I do it as well, it’s how we grow as artists

Changing your style / updating the way you draw is healthy and builds you as an artist. Keep up the amazing work. Chip gets more and more unique and better with every change and iteration. You will if you haven't already find a design you are content with and until then do what you enjoy to do. Don't force it, let it happen naturally. Love the work!

All I see here is you’re constantly experimenting and honestly I think that’s pretty sick. Most animators seem to try the same thing with little change over time which is nice but experimenting can be cool too! Sometimes to find your true style you need to really feel around. ^^

have noticed the style changing every couple videos, and no, I never realized how many different styles you've experimented with, but I didn't mind the changes. I loved the more classic styles, but I also enjoyed the other ones. I wasn't aware people getting upset with you about it. To me, it just seemed like watching something brand new from a good artist not afraid to try. I'm glad to see you continuing what you like. Chin up and walk proud.

The movement in this current style is so dang smooth.

That's because the movement on the current style is done by the computer. If the "puppet" is what I think it is, the advantage to using it is that you simply set up the keyframes and the program does the tweening, while using a hand-drawn image would mean you have to illustrate all the inbetweens yourself.

Let's just say that the current style makes it easier for ChipFlake, because the computer does a lot of the hard part in ensuring that the animation is "smooth". That's not to put down ChipFlake for the using it- it's certainly not "lazy" as there's _a lot_ of learning and skill involved in getting the computer to actually do what you want it to.
I personally think it's really cool to see a "UA-cam Animator" *_actually animating_* in *Adobe Animate,* rather than just using stills. ^‿^
...Unless of course by "smooth", you meant "cool/neat/awesome" etc. *in which case I'd totally agree.* >ヮ<

As a fellow artist I can MORE than identify. As there's one thing I've learned over the years as an artist. Characters and art styles change all of the time, constantly evolving. Besides, I like this Chip ^^ keep in mind I've only just started watching your vids. (friend introduced me to them!)

yup I 100% agree, you can't please everyone. when I changed my character I got a lot of criticism, but what really matters is that you're happy with what you're making cause that energy and love for the process will reflect in the content itself. it's usually just a loud minority anyway, most people don't mind as long as the videos are good.
and honestly i've been loving all the characters lately but this latest one is looking great, in fact i'd say it's your best one yet. also all the little animations and sketches are very well done and fun to watch. you're very talented! keep up the good work!!

So true! I never set myself a fixed design, and let my hands set to the best convenient character outlook every time i draw, character consistency itself was the thing that pushed me away from the 9-5 animation jobs. Found that a bit boring, art should be free of all such limits!

I don`t care how you animate you`re work; It keeps me amused. I watch this channel just about every day.
Changing styles is perfectly normal. I have watched lots of artist friends change their art style over time. You will find that changing your style allows you to grow and experiment as an artist. It allows you to find new things that you enjoy to draw and find satisfying to finish. If people don't understand that, then that's their loss. I loved seeing you transform your style and character over time. Keep your head high and remember the majority of people are just happy to hear you talk. We all love you and your work, and hope your doing amazing.

Style change is something that’s good. When your style changes it means you’re being exposed to more things and are refining your work. Don’t worry over consistency.
