Royal Enfield are on a roll, and yet another classic first to market, totally agree with you, bin the rear seat and the screen, loving the exhaust. Triumph are rumoured to be bringing out a single classic in the next year or so, but unlikely to be only £4k. I'm tempted to buy this bike, especially the chrome model. Ideal fun bike for the country lanes where i live (Yorkshire Wolds).
What a cracking little machine, I’m sure it would be a real joy to own, and given the current problems in the world makes far more sense than so many of the far bigger machines out there, another great and balanced real world review mr Flyer

Had a 650cc Suzuki Savage, single cylinder. I bought it after a long hiatus from bike riding, raising a family. Didn't realize how great it was until I bought my next bike, a much bigger bike with twice the engine displacement. Loved the torque and the light weight of the Savage. Loved the simplicity of it and the low, low maintenance cost. Just loved it, period. The British seem to like single cylinder bikes, but in North America they are looked upon a wimpy and only suitable for girls. Forget that .. I'd buy that bike again in a flash if Suzuki still sold it!
Nice review on the bike and presented great. lots of etras on that bike as I have the Halcyon Grey version on my channel. Actually the very first bike ordered into Australia 4 months prior to their arrival. I've clocked 2,000 klm from scratch in 3 weeks and the bike runs great with very little to near nil vibe. i repeat very little vibe and far superior to the C5. I've had 13 of those new and 2 x 350's if your an Enfield rider and have been scared off by vibration -Don't worry. this bike is not old school. In all honesty once you ride one of these new breed 350's -you'll never go back to a 500. Well i wouldn't! Just did a clip on doing the tappets or valves. pretty easy to do too and much easier than when i did the Interceptor 650 Bike is running roughly 350 kl to the 13 litre tank before reserve bar starts to flash. Best of all it starts first time every time. Really nice bike to ride and furthest to date i've ran it is 250kl in one hit it will sit on 60 mph but likes 55 mph better or so I think. Seating is far superior than the old hard C5 solo seat. I can ride this bike anytime no issues on the butt. Plus I can ride it 100 miles -no gloves-no hand tingling and I've done that twice. Again thats is impossible on a C5. Build quality is far above the Classic 500 and I have not had to touch or tighten any of the main engine bolts ...not even once. I am not knocking the C5 as i probably bought more than any-one ever ever has. But finally after 10 years with Enfields and 20 new bikes later this is equal in build quality to the Interceptor. I honestly never thought I'd ever say that or see the day. Plus the oil/filter change at 300 miles. Nice and clean and no metal or other rubbish. the game has finally improved. Fueling is extremely good with nice smooth throttle and a pretty good exhaust note too. If your subs want to know more from some-one who has lived and breathed Enfields for the past 10 years -I am saying this is the best single to date. It's that good i plan to buy another one shortly. Again pretty impressed by your review and I don't like the screen either plus i removed that silly pillion seat too. Just spoils the lines. The c5 always looked the best with just the solo and i think this one does too. If your on the fence and thinking about an Enfield my thoughts are this is the best to date and if not i would have sold mine immediately and bought somethng else. To me its the perfect trip back in time plus its very very reliable too.
That is an absolute stunner. RE do some fantastic retro colourways. I'd go for the paint job you've got there, and probably opt for those footpegs, as they're different (in a good way). I'll bet they'll be working overtime to fulfill orders. I'll have to see if my local dealer is doing test rides.
Reminds me of my old MZ, never felt I needed more power on the back-lanes, even among all the farmer-boys in their XR4s, and took corners better than an RD once I put better tyres on it. Looking forward to riding again once the snow stops over here in Middle-Girth (Iowa).
Great video!! This seems like a neat little motorcycle, love that green color! I think it would be great for commutes to work, around town, etc…, especially with gas $ prices so high. Safe travels.
Hey TMF! Love this bike. RE are producing some fabulous machines. When I'm being shaken to pieces on my old Dominator I often hark back to your comments about a sweet, smooth monocylinder and wonder, "Should I.....?"!! I actually quite like the screen. But not the passenger seat. That's going.
I took a test ride for the Meteor first and felt instantly at home with handling and sitting posture of the 'laid back' motorcycle. It's supposed to be a semi-cruiser and I am used to cruisers. However, I realized I was not growing as a rider. I didn't like sports bike since I am tourer kind of guy and sports-tourer were still aggressive stanced enough to put me off. At last, I wanted to go back to the basics. You see, I started biking with cruisers which I shouldn't have. It spoiled me sort of. So for this purchase I went ahead and purchased the RE Classic 350 reborn. Do I like it? Yes, very much. Do I like it more than the Meteor? No. Meteor is the pinnacle of easy riding RE offers. But what the Classic offers are timeless looks, upright bolt commanding position, it's all day easy riding enough but doesn't turn you into a slacker. In stop and go traffic, you won't enjoy the Classic much since I felt the clutch was rather heavy and braking is sluggish.. the momentum of this heavy bike can creep up if you aren't careful enough. The acceleration is less enthusiastic than Meteor. But that is by design. Different ECU tuning. Overall, I am very happy with my new RE Classic 350. It's a looker. You will find yourself stealing a glimpse at it in your garage or the parking lot. And it's motorcycling at its purest. You cannot help but fall in love.
Update: I took a test ride of the Classic 350 before purchasing. I wasn't very impressed at first. But yet after purchasing, it's growing on me every single time I ride it.
I love that bike and I'd definitely own one for local chugging, knowing full well it will be slower than a hillbillies child. Just one of those smile bikes. Top review again.
Love it, you are right about the seat but I love the screen! I would stick some soft panniers on there for a an old Euro style commuter. Thumbs up from moi!
I like the look and price of the Royal Enfield motor bikes. Some "flimsy parts" and the maintenance intervals are a downside, but I guess that's the compromise with an economical bike. Nevertheless, these bikes seem to be quite reliable and an overall good value.✌🏾
I like the screen. First review of this that I’ve seen with one so maybe it’s just the novelty. Agree about the back seat though - looks much better without. Gorgeous bike!
What a lovely looking machine. Agree, the bronze and chrome with a single seat would look the business. I love the sound of that engine, unfortunately I cant have two bikes, no room and use a motorway to commute so that engine is ruled out of for me. Great review yet again
What a beautiful machine. I totally agree with you about the seat and screen. Less really is better sometimes. The engine sounded amazing and paint job was quality. Well done Royal Enfield. Great informative vid . 👌
I am sorry to see you are still contending with winter weather, Andy. This week has been beautiful in Tennessee. Clear skies and spring temperatures. Just gorgeous. I like windshields since I put the first one on a Yamaha Virago many years ago. The shape of that screen looks good, but I am not sure about the mount design. It reminds me of an odd Vespa mount. I am always thinking about the practicality of ownership like carry ability so I would leave at least the rear seat on the RE for runs to the grocery store or light day riding. You know, something on which I can strap a small bag. You may think it weird, but the front fender caught my attention. Not because it is metal. The size. So many bikes have those diminutive fenders that offer little or no engine protection from water and road debris. That fender actually serves a purpose. Overall, it is a nice looking motorcycle.
I looked very hard at the Classic 500 at one time, but after test riding one, I concluded that I'd likely not survive the hour and a half ride home on southern California's highways. I believe whole-heartedly that Royal Enfield has really hit the mark on styling with all of their models.
Like you, I just love the look of the new Royal Enfield 350 Classic so much so I've placed and order with the local dealer for a Halcyon Green one which I'm hoping to get delivery of fairly soon, its not without its faults but then what bike is. But what a contrast in riding style from my other cherished bike a Yamaha MT10 SP
Great video Andy as always. As a mature new motorcyclist this year I love the look of the Classic 350 but my wife has hinted she may want to ride pillion occasionally so the 20hp does concern me a little. I think the Interceptor may be a better proposition and still a motorcycle that is suitable for a new rider.
I have a real soft spot for Royal Enfield's, as a lad, which was a very long time ago, I would buy used 350 Bullets from a gentleman in Essex who imported them from India, restore them and sell them on again. That's how I paid my way through Uni, and commuted for four years.
Mmm - I’m very, very tempted Andy, as are the vast majority of your “fans”. Single cylinders are always lumpy but based on your comments this is a real gem. You seem a great bloke but after all these years you’re costing me a small fortune!! Yours aye, Alan
That engine is a peach Alan, if I had the room I would 100% have one of these - particularly love what they've done with the colour schemes too - Triumph take note!
As always a great review and I love the looks of the Royal Infields! I have always liked that 'classic' look since I started riding 40 years ago and remember many of the British bikes that were still on the road that were from the 60's. I know you have plans to review lots of different motorcycles but I was wondering if you planning to review the new Kawasaki KLR. To be honest I don't even know if you get that bike across the pond. Keep up the excellent reviews.
My favorite colour is Halcyon grey and yes your right that pillion seat has to go. Stunning looking classic but for me spoiled by a lack of kick-start. Still it will probably sell bucket loads. Cheers.
Love it, particularly in the Halcyon Black. I actually like the screen too! We’ll done TMF, another cracking review of a superb little bike; I want one!
Good morning buddy, obsoletely enjoy riding my Classic 500, when the 350 hits the states I’ll surely pick one up. Once again, you deliver a great overall review.
Another great review TMF! An instantly recognisable, familiar - yet different exhaust note to my Meteor. I agree, it is a fantastic looking machine with a lot of character. The 350cc engine is so likeable and as you said, not intimidating in the slightest. It has plenty of go, even if the go runs out around 70mph 😂 I get a steady 68mph on dual carriageway with Mrs 350 on the pillion. Definitely doesn’t need that screen, it is horrid and takes away from the brilliant looks of the bike. Like I say, a brilliant review. Great info and a nice insight into the bike and what it would be like to take for a spin. If you’re about over the next few days on the bike, I’ll give a nod and wave if I spot you. Hope you’re keeping well, take care and ride safe! Cheers, Jon.
Another great bike review thanks I'm particularly interested as I have a red/chrome on order. I'm adding to my small collection of bikes all a little different, Harley Fatboy, BMW 1250GS and a BMW Rockster 80th anniversary model. Must admit I'm really looking forward to picking her up.

It’s a great value bike which will have a great following with silver bikers, I can’t see many posters being hung on teenagers walls, RE need to hire an Italian designer and bring the style into the 21st century, it’s just another version of RE’s old bikes, shame they are not prepared to take a risk and style the bikes for younger riders. PS I’m an old silver biker but young at heart!

Great video and this would be the perfect bike if you lived in an area without any duel carriageways or motorways to simply enjoy the ride in a way that motorcycling should be done. BSA have managed a bigger thumper engine and I hope that 1 Day RE will do the same with this particular model. Having said that, if I only wanted to use a motorcycle for riding the back lanes in spare time to on sunny Days then this is still amazing. 👊😎👍

Add another one
RE Shotgun.... 🔥🔥
Another smashing looking bike from RE. You’re a very lucky man TMF getting to review these lovely machines. Keep up the great work.
I like to think of myself as fortunate rather than lucky Norman 🤓
The Meteor fills the 350cc sector really well. Would like to have seen this with a 500cc engine as a replacement for the old 500cc Bullet.
But that would require developing a new 500cc engine and they had this one ready to go...
@@TheMissendenFlyer . I get that, maximise what you've got. But for me an extra 10-15 bhp would give more opportunities. Possibly what BSA are thinking.
There’s one on the way you’ll be pleased to know…! Later this year or early next according to Bike Wale.
@@namduran wasn't that for the Himalayan?
I would not be surprised to see the 650 lump in something very similar in the future
Last weekend at the Bristol classic bike show, I got to see this bike in the bronze colour, definitely the one I'd go for😎
Took one for a test ride last weekend, in the flesh they ooze charm & character. Build is very sturdy & I think if you like this style of bike and don't mind the limitations you really will find it hard to resist & all for less than many 125s. I'm just about done with motorway riding so plan to sell my V-Strom 650 and have one of these for weekend rides and solo slow touring. Back roads of UK & France in particular would be an absolute joy on one of these...
Agreed - enjoy!
Nice review & a great affordable little back to basics bike for pottering that almost anyone could afford. RE are on to a winner there but totally agree that the screen, rear seat & rack need to come off & it'd look much better.
Another well informed review, which is why in part I just purchased my 2022 Interceptor 650 last week. Your thoughts got me intrigued and was able to test ride one last September, from then on I've been saving for it. Can't wait to get on the road with it once the weather clears up a bit and it gets delivered. Thanks again TMF
My pleasure and congratulations on the new bike!
Thank you for another great review. I am hoping that we get this in the states. Another bike that I see the guys from across the pond riding that I would love to put in my bike shed.
Hi Andy. Just wanted to leave you a short nod and a big thank you for your videos. I tend to watch way more TMF content than my free time normally would alow. Cheers!
Thank you Torsten - glad to have you along!
Lovely little bike.
I do believe that over the last couple years we've started to wise up to the tech/cc arms race.👍
Yes I for one certainly have - I'm very much in the "Keep it simple" mindset at the moment....
What a cracking little machine, I’m sure it would be a real joy to own, and given the current problems in the world makes far more sense than so many of the far bigger machines out there, another great and balanced real world review mr Flyer
Thanks for watching Peter!
Hi Andy, great review. I’d been waiting for this one.... I absolutely love this bike! Especially in the green. This would be a perfect second bike for me, sitting next to my GSA. All I need now is a bigger garage! Thanks mate, Chris
Welcome to my world!
What a great looking motorcycle! Fantastic review!
Cheers Pete!
I LOVE the looks of this bike and am extremely tempted to buy one. If they brought out a Classic 650 id buy it in a heartbeat!
What about an Interceptor 350?
@@TheMissendenFlyer That would be interesting but to my eyes the 40´s looks of the Classic is just gorgeous.
This is a beautiful bike & no nasty letters should arrive within 14 days..
Well they’re going to do a Meteor and Himalayan 650 so they might also make a 650 classic.
@@sergentcolon1 I do hope so👍
This was like a Marvel movie. Just when you were about to leave, a secret hidden segment flashes up, just as entertaining as the main event! A hidden gem that MotoBob would call an Easter Egg. A good way to start a Saturday morning!
Glad you liked it Aun!
This is the very same bike I have except for the wind screen. Great review, thank you so much........Sal : ) in Thailand....
Good to hear from you again Sal!
Looking forward to picking up one of these up in the future, can’t wait lol. Love all your videos.
Thank you for your truly excellent review. Very enjoyable, and nicely informative. You really wetted my appetite for buying this machine.
All the best too you.
Thanks!
@@TheMissendenFlyer . . You are very welcome dear fellow.
I think that looks so much better than the Meteor.A 500cc engine might have been better for the U.K. market but it looks beautiful.
This bike is a basic commuter bike actually .. 500cc would b the one they should go for ..but I don't think they will do !! They use same engine in every bike
Why couldn't they use the Himalayan engine ?
They should make a 500 version of this bike and also put that engine in a new Himalayan.
Spy shots from India suggest a 650 twin version of the Classic and Meteor could be in the mix :)
@@shardlake royal Enfield hunter 350 with same engine of meteor ..
Shotgun 650 bobber and 650 cruiser and also 650 adv tourer and scram 400 with himalayan engine .. and future 450 single lightweight dualsport
Hurray!!!
A bike with proper mudguards.
loving my '23 halcyon green; a gentler ride sure, but enjoying every second. Money well spent
Great review, and that is one of the best looking motorcycles I've seen yet! Beautiful machine!
It's not a Royal Oil field if it doesn't leak oil ! 😁 Looks amazing and fantastic value ! Excellent review as always Andy, Almost tempted.
you have best moto channel out there!
Thank you!
I've had 13 of those new and 2 x 350's
if your an Enfield rider and have been scared off by vibration -Don't worry. this bike is not old school. In all honesty once you ride one of these new breed 350's -you'll never go back to a 500. Well i wouldn't!
Just did a clip on doing the tappets or valves. pretty easy to do too and much easier than when i did the Interceptor 650
Bike is running roughly 350 kl to the 13 litre tank before reserve bar starts to flash.
Best of all it starts first time every time. Really nice bike to ride and furthest to date i've ran it is 250kl in one hit
it will sit on 60 mph but likes 55 mph better or so I think.
Thanks for the comprehensive feedback, appreciate it!
Very tempted to get one of these for weekend meanderings. Love the Halcyon Grey colour.
That actually looks really cool just the way it is!
Hey TMF! Love this bike. RE are producing some fabulous machines. When I'm being shaken to pieces on my old Dominator I often hark back to your comments about a sweet, smooth monocylinder and wonder, "Should I.....?"!! I actually quite like the screen. But not the passenger seat. That's going.
In the end it's all baout what makes you smile on a bike isn't it.....not the specs or top trumps bragging rights..
@@TheMissendenFlyer Quite right! I'm trying as many different types while I still can.
Good to hear! If I had space I’d definitely have one….
I love that bike and I'd definitely own one for local chugging, knowing full well it will be slower than a hillbillies child. Just one of those smile bikes. Top review again.
Couldn't agree more!
That is a beautiful bike! Paint job looks great.
I think so too!
Good review Andy and an interesting bike. I’m sure it’ll be a popular addition to the RE stable. 👍
Love these Royal Enfields coming out. Great review as ever.
Thanks!
I like the screen. First review of this that I’ve seen with one so maybe it’s just the novelty. Agree about the back seat though - looks much better without. Gorgeous bike!
I agree, I think the classic 350 is, well, a classic!
What a lovely looking machine. Agree, the bronze and chrome with a single seat would look the business. I love the sound of that engine, unfortunately I cant have two bikes, no room and use a motorway to commute so that engine is ruled out of for me. Great review yet again
Thanks David....
What a beautiful machine. I totally agree with you about the seat and screen. Less really is better sometimes. The engine sounded amazing and paint job was quality. Well done Royal Enfield. Great informative vid . 👌
I totally agree! ...and thanks!
I agree Mitchell - and lucky you with your spring weather!
I looked very hard at the Classic 500 at one time, but after test riding one, I concluded that I'd likely not survive the hour and a half ride home on southern California's highways. I believe whole-heartedly that Royal Enfield has really hit the mark on styling with all of their models.
=RE= will be coming out with a Classic 650-type bike in a "few" months, according to reports.
Amazing!!! I actually totally agree with tmf over the screen, rear seat, and foot pegs, wouldn't bother on this bike.
Yes indeed - both have their place though and a great collection to have!
The fact that you say you would buy one is good enough for me 👍
I 100% would…love this thing
Great video Andy as always. As a mature new motorcyclist this year I love the look of the Classic 350 but my wife has hinted she may want to ride pillion occasionally so the 20hp does concern me a little. I think the Interceptor may be a better proposition and still a motorcycle that is suitable for a new rider.
Yes agreed….
I heard that interseptor seat is not best for pillion comfort, a seat change seems useful & also the pillion foot pegs are a little high
I have the Meteor and go 2 up all the time. It makes very little difference to riding solo because of the low down torque.
Brilliant weekend bike i am really thinking about to buy now thanks for review !
No problem 👍
I have a real soft spot for Royal Enfield's, as a lad, which was a very long time ago, I would buy used 350 Bullets from a gentleman in Essex who imported them from India, restore them and sell them on again. That's how I paid my way through Uni, and commuted for four years.
Cool!
Apart from the long silencer the bike looks perfect. Superb sound too
Actually I rather like the silencer!
When I saw the thumbnail for this video I was properly stunned. The bike has really good looks:)
Isn't it just....
I don’t think we get the KLR 😔
My favorite colour is Halcyon grey and yes your right that pillion seat has to go. Stunning looking classic but for me spoiled by a lack of kick-start. Still it will probably sell bucket loads. Cheers.
I think the sprung seat is an option too. Looks real comfy.
Yes so I understand - missed that one on my walk around!
Ooooo it's a glorious looking thing! Agreed; I'd strip the accessories and have it as standard
Yes would be perfect stripped back for cruising around Tenerife.....and what a bargain!
Nice review!! Love these 1940s style bikes! How’s the overall vibration? Thx mate USA
Love it, particularly in the Halcyon Black. I actually like the screen too! We’ll done TMF, another cracking review of a superb little bike; I want one!
Me too - if only I had the space (and time to ride it!)
I really want to see them do a big Cruiser! I know they won’t but I live in hope
Good morning buddy, obsoletely enjoy riding my Classic 500, when the 350 hits the states I’ll surely pick one up. Once again, you deliver a great overall review.
Thank you...
Looks good , sounds good . Seems to have good torque for a 350 cc bike. Good for a learner rider.
Gorgeous bike and all new,but still familiar👏👏👏
I buyed this beauty yesterday ♥️
Congratulations!
@@TheMissendenFlyer thank you she is beast🔥
Cheers,
Jon.
I’ll look out for you - I have the bike for a few more days yet!
👍
Another great bike review thanks I'm particularly interested as I have a red/chrome on order. I'm adding to my small collection of bikes all a little different, Harley Fatboy, BMW 1250GS and a BMW Rockster 80th anniversary model. Must admit I'm really looking forward to picking her up.
..... Fantastic.... Fantastic motorcycle and fantastic review... Thank goodness now I can rest happely knowing Royal Enfield keeps on giving... I would really like to get this bike one day and also keep my 500 bullet. Thank you for your review...
Bye Stuart 😊🔆
It’s a great value bike which will have a great following with silver bikers, I can’t see many posters being hung on teenagers walls, RE need to hire an Italian designer and bring the style into the 21st century, it’s just another version of RE’s old bikes, shame they are not prepared to take a risk and style the bikes for younger riders. PS I’m an old silver biker but young at heart!
has a proper front mudguard as well.
Hi mis, just running one in ? the bikes awesome cheers 👍 at age 66 lol 😂 its bang on for me , had all the big ones eg varaderos etc. Take care mate .
Great looking bike love the deep exhaust note
You and me both!
I bought a w800 and did not like that one bit.so I sold it and took the plunged and bout a classic 350.one of the best investment that I made.carries me and my wife easily inc going up hills.no rush to get any where.well pleased that I bought it. I also have a forza 750 for longer runs.
Sounds good to me!
Great review and entertaining as usual!
