It’s crazy how one deer that is a 5 1/2-year-old has a big Roman nose and other mature deer have a shorter stout.
Great hunt! I love how you figured this deers pattern out over the years.

5 yards from a shooting house-type stand. That just dont happen much here in southern Georgia. No matter how scent and noise conscious you are the older age class deer steer clear of setups like that. That is a super buck. I hope you midwest bowhunters thank God every day for what you have in the whitetail world.

Many years ago a buck of that Caliber was hit by a car in my county in NY. It dry scored 211 and change. Age of it unknown. Back then aging the deer was not a concern. It was a freak in an area where nothing ever came close ever. Makes one wonder.

Adam Reagan, first off we hope that you had yourself an incredible spring filled with new memories shared with friends and family. Regarding your comment, the guys at the Hunting Public are awesome, no doubt about it. While we disagree with your comment about our group being humble, we welcome the feedback. Our goal is simple, to help others learn and have success through our experiences, both success and failure. Have a great day and best of luck to you this coming season, we hope it's a great one Adam. If you'd like to check out the semi-live series we started this past fall, it's under the DeerSeason21 playlist and this year, it will be DeerSeason22.

They don’t show the high fences around the properties they hunt. Most of the bigger hunting shows only film what we want to see and that’s big bucks but they don’t show the parts people don’t want to see.
