My husband and I used to watch this every year before Thanksgiving. He died last year so this was a bittersweet memory, but I’m glad you two seemed to enjoy it as much as we did. Be thankful for each other (I know you are).
Sorry for your loss
@@brianmcmaster5112 thank you
WOW! that brought a tear to my eyes. Sorry for your loss, God bless.
@@jeremiahrose4681 thank you…it was that evil Delta version of Covid, so I know there are lots of people out there going through the same thing.
So sorry for your loss

John Candy left us way too soon. May he rest in peace. His real-life personality was like the character in this movie. No one ever said a bad word about him. He was the genuine, real article. Also, a side note: the book he was reading while waiting in the airport, "Canadian Mounted" is a reference to the fact that John Candy was Canadian. Another movie of his that I highly recommend is "Cool Runnings".
that is so true..... he was one of the best .... truly
One of the best scenes in cool runnings, was when the Jamaican team came out of the airport into Canadian winter and they go running back and John Candy comes in and goes what
My personal favourate of his movies was "Great Outdoors". My dad loved those raccoons, and was always watching that movie.
Remember when Ryan Reynolds' character was reading "Canadian Mounted" in Deadpool? That was his hilarious little homage to fellow Canadian John Candy.
@@KarlHeinzofWpg I've never seen "Deadpool". I shall have to watch that one.
There were so many scenes that were cut. One of them was Steve Martin's favorite scene with Candy and he still has a hard time talking about it. After Neil goes back to the train station and Dell explains that his wife has been dead, they go to a diner together. That's when Dell explains why he's the way he is and why he travels with the trunk. And inside the trunk was supposed to be all of his wife's belongings. The scene was extremely emotional and Steve Martin said he believes John Candy gave his best performance in that scene. A shame it ended up cut :(
That should gave been included in the movie, or at least in a director's cut version
Another story line that didn't make it into the final cut was that Neil's wife thought he was having an affair and that the whole story about his trip back was a ruse so that he could be with his mistress. That's why Neil's wife had the expression she did when she saw Dale was real.
@@kenashburn5473 Correct!! :)
@@andrewkelley434 supposedly the newest release is going to have alll the cut scenes. It's kind of amazing that the internet, the guy from Hat's Off Entertainment, and Steve Martin may have actually made it happen!
@@Lazrael32 Reallyyy??!! That's amazing news!! Where did you read this? I know the one released in 2022 has some extra scenes, but not all of them. Is that the release you're talking about?
One of the funniest and heartwarming movies ever. RIP Mr. Candy. 😢
"Those aren't pillows!" is my favorite line in this movie. It's hilarious, and it marks a real turning point in the relationship.
Helluva game, helluva game!
@@dr.burtgummerfan439 :D LOL!
And I just love the song playing as they wake up, Patsy Cline's "Back in Baby's Arms". Lol
The F bombs and the testicles was my died laughing moment.
My wife and I still quote this line all the time. Lol
The part where you find out Del is a widower is so well done. The clues are there throughout the movie but almost no one sees it coming and the reveal completely turns the film from a slapstick comedy to one with a heart and then when you remember it's a John Hughes film and it all makes sense.
it's no 6th sense but it was well done
Dear lord I miss John Candy. He was a comic genius that no one could match. There are very few Thanksgiving themed movies to choose from, but this one stands out as the best. I’m glad that y’all enjoyed it. Keep up the great job.

The most amazing thing about john candy was his father died young from a hereditary condition and john also suffered from the same thing and knew he was going to die young but yet look how much joy he brought the world and what wonderful uplifting soul he was
(NaVVy was a squirrel, I am NOT a Navy Mom) Wow, I didn't know that. Makes one wonder if he had extra motivation to live and give his best with whatever time was allotted him. I'd say he did. Thank you, John Candy!
LOL, Amber: “He looks like a cuddler” Perfect timing 😂

When actors actually acted...no cgi...just a pure story of a unexpected friendship..with a sweet ending..Steve Martin is a legend as is John Candy...rest in peace Mr Candy.

This is such a weird comment, and gets weirder the more you think about it lol. Are you suggesting cgi is being used to cover bad acting?
@@fraelikkriil830 100% yes
@@fraelikkriil830 im saying movies at the present moment mostly incorparate CGI for the wow factor which is fair enough as technology advances but unfortunatley this mostly overshadows the acting....im not saying its being used to cover bad acting....i understand why you thought that tho lol....maybe i should have worded my comment better. 😁
It never seems to occur to people that Del doesn't need to be on this trip at ALL. He's just looking for companionship and looking to help.
THOSE AREN'T PILLOWS!!!! One of the funniest lines of all time! I also loved the little cameo by the legendary Kevin Bacon ("Footloose") as the guy who raced Steve for the taxi at the beginning.
One of my favorite lines from the movie is when John Candy says to Steve Martin "I like me" that is so important nowadays people don't realize. You have to like who you are, otherwise change.
That scene is so important!
That end shot of John Candy is an absolute perfect snap shot to remember him by
The original cut of this movie was over FOUR HOURS long! In case it may have seemed weird why Neil’s wife seemed overly emotional at the end, there was originally a bit more story surrounding her suspecting that Neil was having an affair. When she finally meets Del in the end, she realizes that Neil was being honest all along and she’s clearly overcome with relief over it. It’s really a shame that it got cut because it makes the ending hit that much harder. Regardless, I think this movie is a masterpiece. John Hughes is unequivocally my favorite filmmaker; he really was the king of his era.
Still one of the funniest buddy comedy road trip movies ever made!
Steve Martin stated in a interview he has trouble watching the end of the movie ever since John Candy died.
While never the handsome or leading man in Hollywood, very few people were loved as much as Candy. He could play an excellent kid movie or pull it off in a movie like this.
"These two are a walking oops together". 😆
If you haven't seen The Three Amigos yet, you're gonna love it. Steve Martin, Martin Short, Chevy Chase
Such a great film. It grows in stature as you get older. I loved it as a young teen when I first saw it, just for all the funny bits. Now in middle age, I'm genuinely in tears at the end. Remember this, and share it with your kids when they are old enough, for there's some great lessons to be learned here. I think this is John Hughes' best work.
Congratulations you're the lucky winner of the ongoing giveaway text me on telegram to claim your package..... ✅
I completely agree with you, on all these points.
John Candy and Tom Hanks played brothers in 1984's "Splash"--that was Hanks' breakout movie and should definitely be on your list of films.

I truly miss John Candy. He was an excellent comedic actor. He and Steve Martin together were pure gold. ❤️

I love watching movies with you guys! That odd looking machine at the hotel was the way we did credit card transactions back in the day, carbon paper and the whole bit. I admit I laughed at how bewildered you both were
I worked in retail at the time this movie came out, and we had the electronic credit card machines. But mom & pop places like that motel were still using carbon paper probably into the 90's. I didn't miss those carbon paper contraptions -- at least the electronic readers would immediately tell us if the card was fraudulent or cancelled.
I giggled as well
You fell for the what’s that machine question?
Yep & you had to SIGN it too + they would write you DL# & phone # on it too! 🙄
And the numbers are still raised to this day.
I love that you don't recognize the manual card reader! You young'uns!. It's the reason the writing on your credit card is raised - you put the card on the plate, lay the credit slip with the transaction details on it across the top, slide the slider, bang-bang, left and right, and the carbon paper transfers the writing from the card to the slip and you sign it. You come home from a business trip with a pocket full of slips. Those were the days.
This has been a longtime favorite. John Candy's acting was so good in the scene where Neal is first yelling at him. And the entire night driving scene makes me laugh so hard every time.
This is such a great John Hughes classic that has you laughing all the way through, but then makes you absolutely heartbroken for one sad minute at the end. John Candy ( RIP) was such a fun actor that left us too soon. Steve Martin is great, too
Candy's expression in the final frame conveys SO much emotion.
@@dr.burtgummerfan439 oh definitely. I remember watching this in the late 80's on cable and really being saddened by the whole wife thing, it was an emotional blow. It proved our guy had some range.
In 1984 I was working at the Hilton Hotel on St. Pete Beach and the cast of "Summer Rental" was staying with us during the filming of the movie. I delivered room service meals to the entire cast. John Candy started a diet ordering salads but he cracked after the first week and went back to steaks for dinner. Nice guy and generous tipper. Always in character, because he was the character and the character was him. A very funny man who left us too soon. RIP John Candy and thanks for the laughs.
Great story, thank you for sharing that with us!
Summer Rental wS amazing, but I think The Great Outdoors eclipsed it. Candy and Aykroyd! Sheer brilliance!
@@RoGueNavy - agreed. Carl Reiner directed "Summer Rental" and always seemed irritable. The cast told me he was on a tight schedule and concerned about exceeding the budget, etc. So that movie was filmed in a hurry. The cast was not happy with him. "Armed and Dangerous" was another John Candy gem.
"You're Going The WRONG WAY!" "Now how would HE KNOW which way we were going?"
I'm a ex-retail worker from back in the day.The apparatus you we're confused about was how we used to imprint the credit card info onto the three layered (at that time) sales tickets. You would put the credit card in the apparatus than put in the sales ticket on top of the credit card (one layer had a ink sheet attached to the ticket). There was another part of the apparatus that you would then take your hand and physically move it over both the ticket and the credit card and it would imprint the card details onto the sales ticket. Then the sales ticket would go into the cash register so you can start the transaction, if I remember the process correctly. Yep, compared to today it was a lot to go through when all you have to do now is tap your card on the computer box...lol!😁🙂
I miss John Hughes so damn much. His films (especially this and The Breakfast Club) are the only ones I'd LOVE to see sequels to, because I've always wondered what those characters we're doing years later.
Also, the most underrated and hilarious moment of the film to me is when Neal recognizes Del in the airport and he "remembers" him making that stupid, deer in the headlights face (that he didn't even make in the scene originally lol)
Ditto to that.
...with a cab door around his face in the airport
If you want more Steve Martin, 'Only Murders in the Building' is pretty good.
The perfect thanksgiving movie and probably John Candy's best. A comedy with real heart. Great choice guys!
Love this and uncle buck John is hilarious
@@robsquadmoviereactions Uncle Buck is a close second for me. The Great Outdoors is another good one.
This movie always gets to me: the humor and the heartache. I love the "odd-couple" scenario and these two played their roles beautifully. In his earlier years, Steve Martin was the "wild crazy guy", but in later years he started playing the straight man (with sprinklings of momentary madness!) He portrays frustration and anguish so well. John Candy is so lovable in this too. One of my favorite movies Steve Martin was in is "Parenthood" - with Keanu Reeves, Joaquin Phoenix (he called himself Leaf Phoenix back then) and Rick Moranis. Another great movie with an odd-couple theme is "Midnight Run" - with Robert De Niro and Charles Grodin. (So hilarious!) It's so much fun watching with you guys!

have you seen steve martin's dentist in little shop of horrors? what in here compares to that masterpiece
@@johnpaullogan1365 I love that movie too, I just feel this movie couldn't have had better actors in those roles
Thank you for reacting to this. The part where John Candy said, "I like me. My wife likes me" always gets me. I love this movie
John Candy was SO well loved, especially here in Canada, that seeing the hurt in his eyes in that scene was painful. It's like "Do anything, but do not hurt that man!"
At 7:55, the machine that led to the "What is that?" question is how credit cards were handled before we had machines that tied back to the internet or credit card companies. The card was laid down, a slip of paper is laid on top, usually with the cost info (receipt), and the part that runs back and forth would press the paper against the card and the raised numbers and names on the cards would appear on the paper (whether ink or carbon or similar).
Credit cards are simple today, as they deal with things instantly via electronics. Before, there were tons of slips of paper that had to be processed, and there was some delay.
You fell for the what’s that machine question?
This is the perfect Thanksgiving movie, because not only is it relatable, it teaches people to be thankful for what they have. And no matter what life throws at you, learn to take it in stride, go with the flow, and be appreciative for the life you have even when things are at their worst. Happy Thanksgiving, y'all!
We still say “Those aren’t pillows!” and “How does he know which way we’re going?” We usually remember how funny the movie is but it’s good to remember the sweet ending too.
A fantastic movie John Candy is greatly missed.
They both have a bunch of great movies, my favorite for Steve is " Parenthood", and for John " Cool Runnings" which is a great underdog movie like Rocky, based on a true story!!
Yes! Amber and Jay will enjoy Parenthood and Cool Runnings!
Parenthood is one of my all-time favorite movies. I could watch it everyday and not get tired of it. It's just so real, and what an amazing cast!!
This is easily one of the greatest comedies of all time. Without a doubt.
John Candy in that Devils costume is the greatest thing Ever! lol
After missing two years of being with my family on Thanksgiving because of COVID and battling cancer, this movie actually has new meaning for me. The battle to get home for Thanksgiving and being with the family seems well worth it! Inviting someone to have Thanksgiving dinner has also been part of my life. When I was in grad school, I invited several of my fellow students to enjoy Thanksgiving dinner when they were too far away to make it home. A few more people to enjoy some laughs and a warm dinner was never a big deal for my family.
Best Thanksgiving movie ever!
Never forget who kept you away from your family, and vote them out
@@DiggitySlice , not sure what you are taking about. What kept me away from my family was being severely immunocompromised from cancer.

Our family watches this almost every Thanksgiving. I just love John Candy. Last year we had a lifelong friend (we grew up on the same block) of the family that came to Thanksgiving. He's older, not much money, no transportation and his own family wouldn't drive 20 minutes to pick him up. So, my brother drove down to pick him up and brought him to our family Thanksgiving. We all had a very nice time.
What a classic. John Candy and Steve Martin are the epitome of an odd couple. Their chemistry is off the charts. They actually became very close friends afterwards, Steve Martin to this day has a hard time talking about John Candy without tears in his eyes. The movie originally ran for 3 hours and 30 minutes. The film's editor Paul Hirsch, and John Hughes, cut the film down to 2 hours. The studio still believed it was too long and made them cut 30 more minutes!
would love to see the entire 3h30m
i do think some of the scenes i’ve heard they cut out would have made the film a little awkward, and the final cut is really good. but i hope they release a full version or something with all (or at least most) of the deleted scenes to add more depth
This movie is a classic, and a thanksgiving tradition for me.
Fun fact, John Hughes based this story on a real life experience he had a few years earlier. He left Chicago for New York for a one day trip, and he flew home that night. But his flight was rerouted to Wichita, and it took him five days to get back home. FIVE, imagine the hell he would have had to go through in real life.
He probably said “Sweet Home Chicago”. 😄😄😄.
The scene where Steve Martin is trying to get his rental car fixed is the best scene ever 🤣
Kills me because my parents (I was about 9) invited their friends over to watch it. Those friends were the pastor of our church and his wife. While the wife was trying to somehow cover both her kids' ears, my dad and the pastor were laughing like hyenas. It was great. My dad passed in 2012, but he never let my mom forget she was the one who picked out "wholesome family movie." I'm 42 now, and any time I'm visiting my mom's house, I can't NOT smile when a movie shows the rating at the beginning. And every time myself or my kids get *the look* from her.
Film Fact: This film was loosely based on John Hughes's travel experience from New York City to Chicago which took him about 5 days to get home. I've read somewhere that a remake of this film is supposed to happen with both Will Smith and Kevin Hart attached to it. No one else can touch this film.
It won't get greenlit with Will Smith in it. His projects have all fallen through since he went nuts at the Oscar's on Chris Rock.
@@nealm6764 I kind of figured as much. That news about those two pairing up for a remake of Planes, Trains and Automobiles was back in 2020.
There doesn’t need to be a remake ever to this perfect and classic film. That’s just insane!
@@littleogeechee223 I absolutely agree with you. It seems though that Hollywood has run out of ideas, so they decide to take something old and try to make it better somehow.
As a Chicagoan this movie was one of the ones that defined growing up there in the late 80s early 90s…not just their depiction of Neil and his family bring the prototypical middle class Chicago family but having the movie be a part of your family tradition. Watching it every thanksgiving. Similar to Home Alone and the Chevy chase Vacation franchise. John Hughes had that era in Chicago nailed.
My favorite lines in this movie are" "You're going the wrong way!" "How would he know where we're going?" 😀
John Candy always plays such loveable characters and has a way of breaking your heart and making you laugh all at the same time.
My best friend always cries at the end. I must admit I tear up myself. My friend and I got to walk down that street and approach the house. I am from Chicago, and it was my friend and his wife's first time in Chicago, My wife and I gave them a tour of some of the homes used in John Hughes movies. I surprised him by playing the theme song from the movie just before I parked the car. Then we walked down that street toward the house just like in the movie ending. He was a little verklempt. Great movie and reaction. Thank you.
@Rob Squad, did not understand how much heart and pathos this film had til I saw it as an adult.... the comedy is gold then it is gold now what makes this movie so amazing to me is it's heart.... fun to see you all fall in love with this classic.
This movie hits me in the feels EVERY time.
That ending is heartbreaking, but sweet as well .
I love Steve Martin & John Candy in this movie, playing the frustration of the *worst* road trip in history ✈️🚄🚘
I'm always amazed how one can sit through a hilarious disaster-filled road movie, laughing out loud countless times, and get hit in the feels with genuine emotion at the end. It wasn't a kind of fake-out trick to make you cry, it was genuinely earned emotion. (And has me wiping away tears every single time.) Major testament to the writing, directing, and fantastic acting.
Steve Martin and John Candy...the perfect pairing. Both great comedic actors. I never tire of watching this film
I saw a 'behind-the-scenes' documentary on the making of this thing last year. I think they said John Candy gave them even more material that had to be chopped out for time. Otherwise the movie would have come in at over 3 hours long. I remember one of my favorite lines, was him saying something about playing 'pickup sticks' with their butt cheeks.
There was actually a 3 hour cut of the film but sadly all the footage was lost except one extended scene on the airplane. Such a shame.
This is a perfect movie. I'm so glad you two have seen it now. I knew you would cry, it's because you are both good humans ❤ Thanks for another great reaction.
John Hughes and John Candy are two of my favourite people, that I've never known. I miss them both dearly. I grew up with John Candy and John Hughes. Their films together and separate, form a core part of my identity. For John Candy, he was weary of being known only as a comedic actor, and it is felt that he was on the cusp of becoming a well regarded dramatic actor. His small role in Oliver Stone's "JFK" was a step towards his dreams of being taken seriously. "I like me, my wife likes me...." That scene really exemplifies John's ability to deliver a serious and heartfelt moment and it's sad that we never got to see more of that. Both men were gone far too soon. At least we will always have their wonderful films. Thanks for reacting to this one.
Congratulations you're the lucky winner of the ongoing giveaway text me on telegram to claim your package....✅
That little machine at the desk of the motel is how credit cards used to be processed before you could swipe a magnetic strip. There was a multiple sheet form that first was inserted in a slot on the cash register. The register would print the receipt for your purchase onto the form. Then the credit card was put into that little machine with the form on top of it and a handle was pulled to smoosh them together so that the credit card number and expiration date is imprinted onto the form. You would then sign the form and the clerk would give you a page from the form, with the store keeping a page for their records and a page was sent to the credit card company to be processed.
In my opinion, this is in my top 5 funniest movie’s ever made. Just brilliant. And SO many scenes that let’s face it, we’ve all had those moments traveling
This movie is one of my childhood memories cause it'll make you laugh and sad at the same time it's always the classic.
John Candy was a treasure, only he could make a character so annoying so endearing. He's dearly missed. Your King Of The Hill shirt is amazing.
Brilliant actors and comedians, both. Seeing them together throughout an amazing film was and is a blessing.
One of the real sad parts is what didn’t happen but can easily be known: has Neil not realized and gone back for Del, Del would have, yet again, spent a special occasion all alone and lost and sad….
Outstanding film!
One of my favorite comedy’s of all time. Maybe it’s just me put I’d put this right up there with Ferris Buellers Day Off. Just a terrific all around film. Another Steve Martin classic is “Dirty Rotten Scoundrels”, a terrific film.
LOL. I just rewatched Dirty Rotten Scoundrels last week. I'd forgotten how hilarious he is in that movie! One worth watching, to be sure. :)
There are not a lot of Thanksgiving movies, but I try to watch this movie each year. And, now that John Candy's passed away, the movie is even more poignant. Your reaction was wonderful. 🦃🧡🥰
“He looks like a cuddles too”. How right you are.

Some other films with Steve Martin you should react to: The Jerk (1979), Three Amigos (1986) and, Roxanne (1987).

For John Candy add Uncle Buck
This is one of my Mama's FAVORITE movies! There aren't many Thanksgiving comedies, but this is the BEST EVER!! SO happy to be viewing this with the FAM today! 🙂❤❤❤
I love the whole "F**k" scene after Steve Martin loses it at the ticket counter! Also, one of the best endings. Just like "Uncle Buck", John Candy's laugh and smile is so wonderfully contagious. He always gets you in the heart. FYI...if my memory serves correct, John Hughes (writer/director) had had a really bad traveling experience that kind of jump-started the idea for this movie. I think even while finishing up "Ferris Bueller" he asked the woman who played the secretary in the school to be the annoying ticket agent in this film. Thank you for watching and appreciating this gem of a film. Love your reaction! Keep 'em coming!
In the opening scenes Steve Martins colleague is played by Lyman Ward, who played Ferris’ father in Ferris Beullers day off. You may also have noticed a cameo appearance by Kevin Bacon as the guy racing Steve for the cab.
Something that I forgot about is that the legendary William Windom played the indecisive marketing client at the very beginning of the movie and in the after credits (which y'all missed). He bookends the movie and never says a word, and is not listed in the credits. Also, got to mention Kevin Bacon's cameo as the the guy racing for the cab.
William Windom's characters in all the John Hughes movies he's been in are hilarious!
I can honestly say that watching you guys makes me want to become a better person and hopefully I will experience the love that you 2 have for each other someday.
3:41 I love how happy he got seeing John. ❤
Laughs all the way through, then a touching final scene that catches you off guard. Brilliant.
I was sooooo hoping you’d do this one!! It’s one of my favorite movies ever!!!
Thanks for reacting to this movie it's one of my all time favourites!!! Great choice. I highly recommend watching Christmas vacation with Chevy Chase if you haven't seen it yet, it's a Christa's comedy tradition every year at our house and a must see movie!!!
“You’re going the wrong way!” “How does he know where we’re going?” That exchange when I first heard it was the hardest I laughed at any movie
Yes! One of my favorite movies. It's so funny and brings all the feels. John Candy and Steve Martin directed by John Hughes. It's perfect in every way. The character development is so good, how they are so different, but in the end becomes friends. Happy thanksgiving guys
It's a perfect Thanksgiving movie. The language is a bit mature; so it's only closer to family-friendly when edited for TV. But it's set at Thanksgiving time, and the theme is so much about giving thanks, especially by the end; and even friends are treated like family in the end.
If you look online (and at other videos about this movie), you'll learn about aspects of the film that were cut. The thief from early in the movie was supposedly the pizza delivery guy who wasn't tipped well, and went back to get money from the bad tippers. That's also where the beer on the bed tied in. The mention of the pizza comes up the next morning. The homecoming at the end is extra special because Del is there. Steve Martin's character's wife thought he was delayed because he was cheating on her, and she assumed Del was some made up guy for an excuse--the stories she was being told didn't seem believable. So when he walks in the door and she realizes her husband wasn't cheating on her, there is relief. I'm glad that part was cut. The scenes that appeared to be remembering mealtime with the family were from what was supposed to be the final meal with Del. But it was repurposed. Plenty of interesting things in the movie and out of the movie.
7:59 - That is what us 40+ yr. olds used to use when you made a purchase with your credit card. Your receipt (along with a thin sheet of carbon paper) was placed over your credit card, when slid across it forced the receipt and carbon paper down causing the raised credit card numbers to make a copy of your card details on the receipt - for records purposes. It was quite common up until say the year 2000, then you really didn't see them much anymore except for odd occasions in smaller shops that hadn't made the switch to digital.
and the business owner had to call the card company to get it approved.
As someone who traveled extensively, there is so much truth in this movie. Although it's exaggerated in this movie, we all meet people like Dell, and sometimes we might actually be Dell. The wistful smile by Dell at the end showed both the happiness and pain he felt at that moment. Damn, I miss John Candy!
I got to meet him once by his home in Canada, and I think he, and Robin Williams, and Tom Hanks are my favorite comedic actors of all time.
I’m glad you watched this heartwarming movie as your Thanksgiving movie reaction! John Candy 💕 and Steve Martin…magic!
Fab reaction, guys. ♥
2:46 He wasn't footloose enough to get it.
37:45 "Maybe I'll just come in and say hi and be on my way." That would still take 5 hours. 😋
I'd recommend 'Midnight Run', it's a road/comedy/action movie that shares similar good dynamics that Planes, Trains & Automobiles had. Robert De Niro and Charles Grodin are the two leads. From the director of Beverly Hills Cop, Spies Like Us and Scent of a Woman.
Never knew De Niro could be so funny."I GOT JUST TWO WORDS FOR YOU,SHUT THE F×××K UP!"
I’ve also suggested Midnight Run! Great movie…i hope they do it soon
I’d like to second the recommendation for Midnight Run. Great chemistry between the leads, and the supporting cast are all first rate - John Ashton, Dennis Farina, Yaphet Kotto, and Joe Pantoliano (“Joey Pants”). “See you in the next life.”
Love that movie! :D
@@hawkeye466 😎❤️👍
The end of this movie still brings tears to my eyes.
Suggestion: do like a lot of us do, and make this film part of your yearly Thanksgiving viewings.
All the best to you both.
The infamous minute long *18 F-Bombs* at the car rental desk is why this movie is *Rated (R)* They refuse to remove that scene to get a lesser rating
“FUN FACT” The Attorney who gets paid for the cab? I went to High School in New York with his daughter 😂😂
That is so cool!
One of the absolute classics! The chemistry between Martin and Candy is sublime, just hilarious. Thank you and Happy Thanksgiving Mama and Papa! 🥰🥰🥰
My family has watched this movie the day before Thanksgiving every year since it came out in 1986 ! And now on November 22 a new dvd is coming out with a extra 75 minutes of directer cuts added back in to it. It will explain in more detail how this story developed into the funny and heartwarming movie that is loved by so many !
This is a great movie. John Candy and Steve Martin are both amazing actors with such good chemistry together.
We have dozens of Christmas movies, but HERE is a genuine Thanksgiving film that we can enjoy every year at this time! Awesome!
The feller thats beats Steve Martin to the cab at first was Kevin Bacon. At the airport the dude on the announcement mike was Ferris Buellers Teacher who kept saying "Bueller, Bueller". Can't mistake that voice deadpan. Tons of cameo's. Great movie. You should perhaps watch 'Splash!" next. Cheers.
22:22 I don't think Steve Martin has ever said that many F-bombs in his entire career. 😄😄😆😆😆
"I dont think he can still stand him but he loves him"
Amber I couldn't help but laugh at that statement 😄
The great outdoors... another John Candy film. :)
This brings up two more classics - Tremors, and Ferris Bueller's Day Off. Oh, and Spinal Tap as well, which is a classic rock documentary.
