I think their marriage made it because they actually kept their personal business out the tabloids some celebrity couples spill beans on each other just to get money and it's sad
I've seen this over and over but, "do you know how privileged you have to be to not know how to make a sandwich" is SUCH a great way to sum up Goldie's character!!!!
Girl friend in high school told me she was nervous when she got her first job at Bath & Body Works because she knew they would eventually ask her to sweep the floor. She had never done it before and had no idea how at 17 years old. I knew her parents had some money but that threw me.
@@halecj1 My college roommate had never put sheets on a bed before. I had to demonstrate how it was done. She, also, mopped herself into the corner the first time she mopped the room. I can in and she was standing in the corner waiting for the floor to dry.

Russell was a kid star as you mentioned and in addition to movies he was on lots of tv shows too. He even played Jungle Boy on an episode of Gilligan's Island in 1965.
Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell met while filming the Disney film 'The One and Only, Geniuine ,Original Family Band'. Goldie was one of the dancers and Kurt a member of the family. Goldie is older than Kurt.
This was my favorite movie when I was a kid. I'd watch it with my grandma on VHS at her house. We loved Overboard, and I'm so happy that yall enjoyed it, too!
This was a favorite in our house too. It was one of the movies that we taped off of HBO when they would do a week free of the channel to get subscribers, and we would tape any movies that we wanted to keep. Three movies to a VHS tape on SLP mode, those were the days. 😂 So it was one we watched over and over. My mom loved it and we watched it so many times that I could quote so many lines. My favorite line ever “It’s not us dad, it’s Roy!” 😂 Also some of my favorite lines are by Katherine Helmond (Mona from Who’s The Boss!) who plays her mother. Also Roddy McDowell! ❤
This movie is really special. I cry every time she’s driving away and the boys are banging on the window. Favorite line-it never bothered you before..we’ll it BOTHERS ME NOW!!! 😂😂😂
So glad that you two are finally watching this fun 80's movie starring real life couple,Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell. It's a,sweet, funny movie and Kurt Russell was Wyatt Earp in Tombstone!!
Kurt Russell (March 17, 1951) and Goldie Hawn (November 21, 1945) have been a real life love couple (not married) since 1983. He started out as a child actor on television since he was 12, making his on screen debut in an Elvis Presley movie called "It Happened At the World's Fair" in which he got to kick Elvis in the shins twice. Later, as a teenager, he acted in many Disney movies. He worked both on the big screen as on television. In 1979, 2 years after Elvis Presley passed away, Russell even played Elvis in a made for TV movie called "Elvis". Other movies of his are The Thing, Tango&Cash (with Sylvester Stallone), Tombstone, Forest Gump (uncredited as the voice of Elvis Presley). Goldie Hawn started her career dancing and performing on stage before getting on the television show "Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In" in which she was one of the regulars. Hawn often broke out into high-pitched giggles in the middle of a joke, then delivered a polished performance a moment after. That is what she became famous for and what landed her her first roles in big screen movies. She often played a bubbly, "dumb", blonde in the early years. Hawn and Russell first met while filming The One and Only, Genuine, Original Family Band in 1966, but obviously nothing happened yet between 15-year-old Russell and 21-year-old Hawn until much later. Hawn later developed into a big name, not just acting but also producing movies. She became a big box office hit with several of her movies like Private Benjamin, Overboard (with Kurt), Bird on a Wire (with Mel Gibson), Death Becomes Her (with Bruce Willis and Meryl Streep), The First Wives Club (with Bette Midler and Diane Keaton). Hawn was married twice. From her 2nd marriage she had 2 children, son Oliver (born September 7, 1976) and daughter Kate (born April 19, 1979), both actors as adults as well. Russell was married once from which marriage he has a son, Boston, (born February 16, 1980). Hawn and Russell became an item after filming Swing Shift in 1983 and together have a son Wyatt Russell (born July 10, 1986). Though they never married, they have been together since 1983 and with all their offspring, form the perfect, blended, family.
They first met in '68 when she was 21 and he was 16 working on a Disney movie. In '83, they starred together in Swing Shift, started dating, fell in love and have been together ever since. Despite not getting married, 40 years together and still going strong, raising kids and staying in love...relationship goals!! Other great romcoms IMO - Sleepless in Seattle, You've Got Mail, Say Anything, Four Weddings and a Funeral, Notting Hill, Moonstruck, The American President, Roxanne (modern version of Cyrano de Bergerac - Steve Martin is genius), Bridget Jones' Diary, My Big Fat Greek Wedding are enough to get you started on more. There are so many others. I'm personally waiting for you to get into some musicals. Jay's face will be PRICELESS, LOL!!
Them not getting married means they are not role models. Technically, they are in a common-law marriage according to the law. A fact she has to be well aware of. Why he didn't t marry her is pretty creepy and he should have done it a long time ago. Finally give her a chance to make an honest man out of him.
@@threelilies9453 They make a conscious chose to be together everyday. 40 years together. And along the way they created a strong family unit. Great role models.
I LOVE this movie SO much. We still use the lines from this from the 80’s “Shut up and eat your chequers!” 😂 “We moved here…. Deliberately?” “Here’s your chocolate cream pie!” SO many good lines to recycle. This is where they fell in love for real. And they are still together now
This was their second co-staring project. They began dating during the filming of 1984s Swing Shift. I remember her telling Barbara Walters about it during an interview
Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn are one of those power couples that take me right back to my childhood. This is one of my favorites. Another of their films that wasn't so well received, is the one that sparked their relationship, Swing Shift, but it's still one of my favorites. And yes, Pee Wee Herman was a kids' show. But only after it had been a show for adults for some time.
This is one of my fav movies. The butler is Roddy McDowall. One of his most famous roles was Cornelius in the original Planet of the Apes. Kurt Russell played in Big Trouble in Little China and Soldier. Both were excellent movies
In addition to the apes movies & TV series, Roddy McDowall was also great in Fright Night (1985), Fright Night Part II (1988), Cleopatra (1963), The Longest Day (1962), The Greatest Story Ever Told (1965), That Darn Cat! (1965), Bedknobs And Broomsticks (1971), Funny Lady (1975), The Black Hole (1979), The Poseidon Adventure (1972) and A Bug's Life (1998 - final film prior to his death).
If you want another funny Roddy movie, try and find Scavenger Hunt...the movie makes me laugh so freaking hard...but you may have to buy a DVD because it's not available to stream...maybe on UA-cam though.
Freaking love this movie. I know obviously if it was real it would be highly illegal and problematic but it’s just a film. Their chemistry is so amazing, not hard to believe they are still married!
They actually aren't married. They both just came off of divorces when they got together and they decided to never get married. It has worked out though, 40 years later and as you said, they're still together
Yeah, I’ve always said that, if they’ve lived together for more than a year it’s pretty much a “common law marriage” but they live in California, I’m from California too and I’m not sure if California is a common law state. edit- I just looked it up, so California does NOT recognize “common law marriage” however California does recognize couples that have lived together for long periods of time to have the same “marital rights” as married couples. 🤷♂️ eh… they’re married. lol
It's kind of impressive how the movie manages to skirt the line by having both the characters be just flawed enough, and do enough growing, that it works. It's a deceptively good script!
Thank you for reacting to this classic movie. Both Kurt and Goldie are longtime great actors, and, like everyone has said already, have been a real couple for 40 years. Kurt has been in all kinds of movies, including action, drama, horror and comedy. Most recently he was in Guardians of the Galaxy 2 playing Star Lord’s father. Another great comedy with him in the lead is “Used Cars”. It has Lenny and Squiggy of “Laverne and Shirley” in it also. Goldie has also had a long successful career, but I’ll always remember her best as the silly dancing girl in “Laugh In” and, of course, as Annie Proffett along side of her soulmate.
Kurt Russell also played Wyatt Earp in Tombstone, which the Rob Squad already watched. In addition to the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, a few classics from the past include Backdraft, Big Trouble in Little China, Silkwood, The Thing and Escape from New York.
I was a kid and didn't get all the jokes on "Laugh In", but I caught some. I didn't realize then what a controversial / leading edge of a show it was until my later years. I enjoy it.
I love this movie! Have you guys seen Private Benjamin yet? It's another great one starring Goldie Hawn. She plays a sheltered rich girl who, due to some memorable circumstances, joins the army and comes into her own. A classic with a really satisfying, uplifting ending to boot!
And also co-stars Eileen Brennan (Mrs. Peacock from Clue) in what I've always considered her signature roll (even reprising the roll in the tv series).
this is one of the great romcom/comedies of all time. the chemistry between goldie and kurt is just so real obviously. the entire cast just complete it all perfectly.
This is 1 of my favorite Goldie Hawn movies. I also liked her in The First Wife's Club. Besides Tombstone I another movie I like with Kurt Russell is Stargate.
Ahhhhh I love this movie so much! Another great Goldie classic is The House Sitter, it also has Steve Martin. And we absolutely cannot forget Death Becomes Her with Meryl Streep and Bruce Willis…
Don't forget she was also great in....Wildcats, Protocol, The Banger Sisters, Private Benjamin, The Out Of Towners, Bird On A Wire, Foul Play, Best Friends, Seems Like Old Times & The First Wives Club.
This is one of my all-time favorites. Did you notice one of the twins was the best friend in Big? As others have said, they have been a couple for over 40 years. They both were in The Christmas Chronicles in the past couple years playing Santa and Mrs. Claus, it really new, funny take on Santa. IRL, the have two sons, Wyatt, that was a hockey player but turned to acting, and Boston. Kurt also helped to raise Goldies two other children, Kate and Oliver Hudson.. both famous actors! Please!!!!! Watch Sleepless in Seattle or While You Were Sleeping, soon!!
This movie is like Shawshank to me…if I see it on TV, doesn’t matter what part, I have to watch it. I love Goldie. My aunt, Angie, looks EXACTLY like her. It’s just a great movie. The part when her butler tells her how lucky she is to see life from a different prospective…makes me tear up every time. Silly, I know, but it’s such a great moment. Yeah, it would be illegal, but you gotta suspend reality and just go with the story. It’s just a great classic.
Fun fact for the Elvis fan in you two, one of Kurt Russel's first big roles was being the first to play Elvis in a movie a few short years after Elvis died and is the only actor to play him that actually met Elvis as Kurt Russel's first movie role was as a kid in the Elvis movie It Happened At The World's Fair.
Kurt Russel and Goldie Hawn have been together since 1983 - they are both hilarious. Goldie Hawn has 2 kids from a previous marriage, one of whom is Kate Hudson who has been in a ton of movies. Wyatt Russel, Kurt and Goldie's son together is also an actor. Goldie has been acting since the 60s - one of her claims to fame is Laugh In. I love this family so much.
The friend that you recognize was on that show friends as a maintenance guy. Joey taught him how to dance on the roof of the building for a date. Sadly he passed away
Goldie Hawn is a national treasure. One of the first women to own her own production company because she wasn’t getting the roles she wanted due to sexism.
Over 50 women started their own production company even before Marilyn Monroe did in 1955. So she is far from one of the first. But she is a national treasure!
@@mena94x3 I can't speak for the original poster, so I don't know what was meant. Sexism in society certainly was reflected in the film industry. Part of it was limiting the roles available to both attractive women and older women. Once there was more diversity of perspectives in management, there were more roles available that had some depth, so that women could be a combination of smart and sexy, or funny and strong, rather than the one-dimensional portrayals that had been more common earlier. Also, more lead roles were made available to older women, so that they weren't relegated to playing bit part as grandmothers, etc. as often. I like to see a variety of parts available to men and women, and to people of all ethnicities, so for me, this was a positive change.
This is literally my favorite movie since I was 8 years old I’m 46 now and the new version with Anna Ferris is very good but this movie will always hold a special place in my heart. It played on TV every Saturday on local channel and I live in rural west coast so it feels authentic
This is one of my favorite ROM-COMs of all time. You can truly see how much Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell love one another. They are so dynamic together working working off one another. First movie they were in together was swing shift and they were just magic. They both have some phenomenal films I hope you continue watching some of their work
Kurt Russell played Herb Brooks in Miracle. You both being athletes have likely heard of the story and seen the movie. 1980 US beat the nearly-unbeaten USSR in Hockey at the Olympics. Goldie Hawn stars in Wildcats, another sports movie from the early 80’s. She becomes a school’s football coach. They have each great careers. Many enjoyable movies from each of them and as a couple.
Mike Hagarty who played Bad Billy Pratt died last year... RIP One of the twins appeared in the movie Big with Tom Hanks as Billy... He also appeared in Honey I Shrunk the Kids 🤘😜
Kurt Russell started out as a child actor. He made an appearance on "Gilligan's Island" when he was only 12-ish. Later on, he starred in Disney movies - "The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes" for one. He's also known for "Escape From New York" "The Thing" and "Big Trouble In Little China" and of course many other movies.
Fun movie. Always makes me giggle. Fun fact: the guy who plays Goldie hahns butler in the boat is he same actor who played the ape Cornelius in the original planet of the apes. He has a very unique voice. Roddy McDowell
Sleepless in Seattle is another classic romcom. And there's one I've never seen anyone react to, you guys could be the first: Arthur from 1981. It was a big, famous movie when it came out, but it doesn't get mentioned much today.
The main actor in this film is living legend, Kurt Russell. He was the one who played Wyatt Earp in the movie "Tombstone" that you guys reacted to already. He is also in a slew of other great, memorable and iconic movies that you guys MUST check out, like: "The Thing" (1982) "Escape From New York" (1981) "Big Trouble In Little China" (1986) "Tango & Cash" (1989) "Stargate" (1994) "Breakdown" (1997) "3000 Miles to Graceland" (2001) "Poseidon" (2006) "Death Proof" (2007) The Hateful Eight" (2015) These are just a few mentions of some of the great movies he's known for. Any one of these movies I'm certain you both would enjoy, but I would suggest you begin with "Breakdown", The Hateful Eight", or "Death Proof". Sure many of your other channel fans would agree. :)
One of my all time favorites. Glad you reacted to it. Not a rom com but a cute movie from the 90’s starring Christina Applegate, Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead. You definitely need to react to it at some point. I’m probably from your guy’s mom’s generation and my little sister and I both loved this movie. I think Jay will get a kick out of it as well.
The man who plays 'Joanna's' butler is the late great, Roddy McDowall. He is a cult classic horror comedy movie set titled, "Fright Night" (parts 1 & 2). Those films are so much fun to watch! He plays the character, Peter Vincent, the Great Vampire Killer, lol.
Kurt Russell was Star Lord’s dad in Guardians of the Galaxy II. He’s been in tons of movies, “Escape From New York” is a good one, but “Tombstone” is more serious.
You can't go wrong with any Goldie Hawn movie, she's such a great comedy actor, highly recommend "Housesitter" and "Private Benjamin" . She's been in so many good films and her delivery is always perfect. Started in the TV Comedy series Rown and Martin's Laugh In and went into movies from there. A real comedy talent and such a beauty, also in one of Steven Spielberg's first theatrical releasse "Sugarland Express" she showed what a great serious movie actor she is. Also mum of Kate Hudson of course.
Yes, was looking for a comment referencing “The Sugarland Express”. Goldie was great in that movie and was great to see Spielberg’s directorial debut and first collaboration with John Williams. It’s a forgotten film, but still well done. It is a film that would be challenging to bring to the screen today unless it was by a Netflix or HBO type of element, likely infused with some nonsense agenda driven plot ruining realistic storytelling. I remember Laugh In, mostly via syndication and reruns, but I definitely had a crush on Goldie Hawn. And I also loved Kurt Russell. Knowing they have been married for 40 years in Hollywood is pretty cool. They are probably considered B List actors, but I think that are A List people. Goldie seems outta the industry these days, but Kurt continues to cut his chops and has given some amazing performances. Both are under appreciated.
😊🥹🥹🥹❤ And they are still together after all these years. They are still so in love with each other. Sweetest love story ever in that the two actors playing characters in a movie actually do fall in love. Precious! They are a wonderful couple together, still so in love. They did a Christmas movie not too long ago. I love them both, and especially as a couple. Kurt Russell has done a lot of fantastic movies. Goldie, too. She's almost 6 years older than him and first met him when he was still a young teenager. They truly have the sweetest love story.
Kurt Russell has been in so many great movies and Goldie too. They are a couple who never got married. The Thing and Escape From NY are two famous ones, but there are so many, Captain Ron, Big Trouble in Little China, 3000 Miles From Graceland, Star Gate, Tombstone, Death Proof, GOTG 2, The Hateful Eight, Tango and Cash, Back Draft, Elvis, Silkwood, Breakdown and many more. I will let someone else tackle Goldie's, ❤❤❤❤❤❤️❤️❤️
"Foul Play" (1978) has Goldie Hawn matched with comedian Chevy Chase in a romantic comedy/mystery that nods to some of Hitchcock's films; something you need to see. And then for another look at Kurt Russell's work, there is the 1996 airplane thriller, with support help from Steven Seagal and Halle Berry, titled "Executive Decision".
I LOVE this movie. It is one of my ‘replay’ films - one that I can watch over and over and still enjoy. At the beginning, I wasn’t sure that you were going to like it. I’m glad it turned around for you. ❤
💜💙 I'm so excited y'all reacted to this, you don't even know! I called my man on his way home from work just to scream in the phone and say "OMG, GUESS WHAT ROB SQUAD REACTED TO"??? Lol I'm watching now! 🍿🥤😁😁
I yelled to my husband the same thing, but he was just in the next room. One of our faves! "I just... ate a bug" is one of our go-to lines when we don't care for what we just ate off our plate. 😄
Happy to see a reaction to this movie! It’s one of my comfort movies. It never fails to make me cry when she’s driving away in the limo and the kids are running after her. Goldie Hawn has been in great quirky rom-coms. Another one I really enjoy is Housesitter (with Steve Martin).
I've loved this movie since I saw it way back in the day in its original theatrical run. It absolutely holds up, even all these years later and no matter how many times I see it. I think you'd really enjoy "While You Were Sleeping" with Sandra Bullock. It's another romcom with a kinda zany story but ends up being an absolute joy by the end, and Sandy B is *wonderful* in it.
I LOVE how much you loved all my favorite lines, and how much you highlighted the scene with Andrew re: "What you choose to do with that information is entirely up to you," which is my favorite. It was lovely to see you guessing at things and talking through what you thought might happen. Thank you for a lovely evening of nostalgia!
I keep finding movie reactions that I enjoy watching. Movies I've seen, but through a first-timer's eyes. It brings me a lot of joy, even though you're both probably 20-years younger than me, and I keep shouting, "Why the F#$@ do you not know that?!!?" at the screen. :-]
Oh guys, I’m so happy that you did this movie!! It is one of my all time favorites!! Kurt Russel and Goldie Hawn were perfect in it!! As were everyone really!! ❤️
It's a ringer, it rings the water from clothes after washing. Then you hang your clothes on the line outside to sun dry. A ringer was luxury back in the days. Otherwise you would ring your wet clothes by hands.
The thing that grabbed her shirt tail in the montage is a clothes wringer, because they don't have a dryer and she has to hang clothes. (Thank God for modern electric dryers lol). You send your clothes through it one at a time and it wrings the excess water out into the tank at the bottom.
Jay, as someone who feels the same way as you do about romcoms, I would suggest you two watch 'Kate And Leopold" and "While You Were Sleeping", they are very good and both you and Amber will enjoy them. One of them has a sci-fi element in it that you will really appreciate.
Love this movie!! Love Kirk and Goldie!! Y'all need to watch Coalminer's Daughter! True account of Loretta Lynn's life. It's one of my all time favorites. It reminds me of the stories I was told about my Grandparents early life in the Hills of Arkansas.❤
This was a favorite of my families growing up! We quoted it all the time. It’s so fun to watch you guys see it now. It still has the same humor and charm. It stands the test of time❤
I love this movie, brings back so many childhood memories…jay you should check out Tango and Cash with Kurt Russell and Sylvester Stallone……..It’s so crazy how much Kate Hudson looks and sometimes acts just like her Mom- Goldie Hawn especially in glass onion and how to lose a guy in 10 days

I'd forgotten how good a movie this really was ❤ it's been so many years. I just know I've always associated this movie as when Goldie and Kurt fell in love ❤️
To me, there is a big difference between the classic romantic comedies & the modern day formulated rom-coms. I will watch & rewatch an older/classic romantic comedy. It is rare that I even take the time to watch a 2000 rom-com, all the plots are the similar or even the same. Thanks for the reminder of how great Kurt & Goldie are on screen together.
It took me forever to figure out what she was talking about. Rom Com? That's just silly to me. Speaking is not the same as a text message. I get it that makes me old. It's just lazy. And if I'm not mistaken, they're teachers. I re-watch my favorite movies with them all the time I hope I didn't give the wrong impression. I think they're great 😊
Amber, you mentioned that your Mom talked about Farrah Faucett. She played in a sci-fi adventure movie called “Logan’s Run” She plays a small part in the movie as the Doctor’s assistant. A great 70’s movie
Nail Glue is freakin strong. I had a car with T-tops back in High School that had clips glued to the glass that held covers to block the sun out when tops were on. One fell off and I used my friend's sister's nail glue to glue back in place. It never fell again during my years of ownership.

Kurt Russell (March 17, 1951) and Goldie Hawn (November 21, 1945) have been a real life love couple (not married) since 1983.
Good thing the ages weren't reversed otherwise we would never hear the end of it
@@JohnnyXoz You are missing the part they didn't get together for another 10yrs. Nothing happened prior.
@@threelilies9453 Like arseholes everyone has an opinion.
I LOVE this movie SO much. We still use the lines from this from the 80’s
“Shut up and eat your chequers!” 😂
“We moved here…. Deliberately?”
“Here’s your chocolate cream pie!”
SO many good lines to recycle.
This is where they fell in love for real. And they are still together now
This was their second co-staring project. They began dating during the filming of 1984s Swing Shift. I remember her telling Barbara Walters about it during an interview
My favorite quote was always, it’s not us, Dad,… it’s Roy! 😂😂😂
@@foreveralone11w LOL!! Brilliant. The kids were great, they had some fantastic lines.
Members of my family will, even now, say “it’s a hell of a day at sea, sir” to express being overwhelmed.
@@millaray9912 I LOVE that we are not the only ones 🤣🤣🤣
Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn are one of those power couples that take me right back to my childhood. This is one of my favorites. Another of their films that wasn't so well received, is the one that sparked their relationship, Swing Shift, but it's still one of my favorites.
And yes, Pee Wee Herman was a kids' show. But only after it had been a show for adults for some time.
Swing Shift was good too.
I loved Swing Shift.
I adore this movie but I love it even more because Kurt and Goldie are the epitome of real-life relationship goals. Love, love, love them!!
This is one of my fav movies. The butler is Roddy McDowall. One of his most famous roles was Cornelius in the original Planet of the Apes. Kurt Russell played in Big Trouble in Little China and Soldier. Both were excellent movies
Roddy McDowall started out as a child actor in the forties in films Lassie Come Home and How Green Was My Valley
Kurt was great in Escape from New York, too
If you want another funny Roddy movie, try and find Scavenger Hunt...the movie makes me laugh so freaking hard...but you may have to buy a DVD because it's not available to stream...maybe on UA-cam though.
@@MLJ7956 "The Legend of Hell House" is one of my favs! Roddy never gave a bad performance.
Thanks!
@@christinadoxstader3004 Well if their state recognizes common law then technically they are married lol.
🤷♂️ eh… they’re married. lol
It's okay because they're a couple in real life.
😂😂😂😂 I Loved that movie!!! 👍🏿
"Where are the condos?" 🤣🤣
Yes! That was a really good one too!
And also co-stars Eileen Brennan (Mrs. Peacock from Clue) in what I've always considered her signature roll (even reprising the roll in the tv series).
Private Benjamin is an EXCELLENT FUN MOVIE WITH GOLDIE!!
this is one of the great romcom/comedies of all time. the chemistry between goldie and kurt is just so real obviously. the entire cast just complete it all perfectly.
This is 1 of my favorite Goldie Hawn movies. I also liked her in The First Wife's Club.
Besides Tombstone I another movie I like with Kurt Russell is Stargate.
I can’t picture anyone else in these roles.
Kurt Russel and Goldie Hawn were perfect. Great reaction movie!
For more Kurt Russell, I would recommend "Big Trouble In Little China." I think you'd love it, good action, good comedy, and a decent story woven in.
Acting in his first movie role, at about 8 years old, Kurt kicked Elvis Presley in the shin.
Yeah that was his film just prior to this one. One of his many collaborations with John Carpenter. "The Thing" is probably the best of them.
As I watch this I can hear my grandma laughing her ASS off! Thank you for that memory ❤
Death Becomes Her!!!
I LOVE The House Sitter!!! An underrated gem!
Death Becomes her is something they should watch for sure.
Death Becomes Her and First Wives Club!!! 💯💯💯
I love when Goldie looks blankly into space saying, “buh…buh…buh…buh…..”
One of my favorite movies! Goldie and Kurt were made for each other.
The roller machine she was using is a mangle which was used for pressing smooth and squeezing the excess water out of washed laundry.
I vote for While You Were Sleeping!!! They should also check out Untamed Heart.
Kurt was married to Season Hubley before his relationship with Goldie. Boston is their son.
While you were sleeping
Yes to While You Were Sleeping!
@@AZambri1Although it's less Comedy than Romance, Untamed Heart is SOOO good...😋
Thanks! It's so nice to have you two to enjoy a movie with! Overboard was a great pick!!🎉
You forgot about Goldies son Oliver, Kates full brother, and Goldie and Kurts youngest Boston Russell.
The friend that you recognize was on that show friends as a maintenance guy. Joey taught him how to dance on the roof of the building for a date. Sadly he passed away
Minimum wage at the time this movie was made was only something like $3.35 an hour. So $25 a day was not completely crazy.
"...and he glued all of his toes together." Is one of those things parents say that make non parents completely horrified. 😅
Goldie Hawn is a national treasure. One of the first women to own her own production company because she wasn’t getting the roles she wanted due to sexism.
Over 50 women started their own production company even before Marilyn Monroe did in 1955. So she is far from one of the first. But she is a national treasure!
She wasn’t getting the roles she wanted due to sexism? Was she wanting the male roles in movies? (I’m sorry, but blaming sexism is kinda weird).
Oh shut up with your woke ideology
@@mena94x3 Oh a sexist P.O.S just showed up! Hey girl hey!
They both have some phenomenal films I hope you continue watching some of their work
A movie about someone becoming a stronger person as a consequence of a bad intention is "A New Leaf" with Walter Matthau. Love that movie.
I watched that movie last night, what a great movie and his acting was top tier

I love miracle! Kurt did such a good job playing that hockey coach
Mike Hagarty who played Bad Billy Pratt died last year... RIP
One of the twins appeared in the movie Big with Tom Hanks as Billy... He also appeared in Honey I Shrunk the Kids
🤘😜
He is also in a slew of other great, memorable and iconic movies that you guys MUST check out, like:
"The Thing" (1982)
"Escape From New York" (1981)
"Big Trouble In Little China" (1986)
"Tango & Cash" (1989)
"Stargate" (1994)
"Breakdown" (1997)
"3000 Miles to Graceland" (2001)
"Poseidon" (2006)
"Death Proof" (2007)
The Hateful Eight" (2015)
These are just a few mentions of some of the great movies he's known for. Any one of these movies I'm certain you both would enjoy, but I would suggest you begin with "Breakdown", The Hateful Eight", or "Death Proof". Sure many of your other channel fans would agree. :)
Backdraft (1991)
Snake Plissken! I also believe he was a child star for Disney!
That little girl is gonna have the four most protective older brothers ever!
True. But they're also gonna put frogs in her bed.
If you want to see Goldie at her absolute best, watch an episode of Rowan and Martin's Laugh in. She was always so much fun.
*heh* Dishes are DONE!
yes. And Adventures in Babysitting
This movie never gets old. Been watching it for decades ❣️
She's such an underrated comedic actress! The way she delivers her lines is pure gold
Goldie Hawn in Private Benjamin "Where are the condos?" 😂
"Housesitter," 1992 is a great movie.
Her one non comic role Deceived was under rated
Yes Captain Ron and Backdraft are a MUST!!!
I can watch this movie over & over and never get tired of it. I'm so glad to see Kurt & Goldie still going strong as a couple after all these years.
Kurt Russel was great in Captain Ron as well. So so funny and just a fun summer movie. Also For Richer or Poorer is a great romcom
Haha i forgot about Captain Ron. Good call!!
An Officer & A Gentleman!!! Banger
Another 80's movies you guys would love is "Beaches" with Bette Middler.
This is a classic, and probably my mom's favorite movie.
I loved Foul Play! Haven’t seen it in years but it’s a fun movie.
Oh, the third son is actor Jared Rushton who played Tom Hanks' best friend in the movie "Big", btw. :)
I LOVE this movie. It is one of my ‘replay’ films - one that I can watch over and over and still enjoy. At the beginning, I wasn’t sure that you were going to like it. I’m glad it turned around for you. ❤
definitely an under-rated movie. Of course you can't go wrong with pretty much any flick from the 80's. Best decade of movie making ever.
And music 😊

I yelled to my husband the same thing, but he was just in the next room. One of our faves! "I just... ate a bug" is one of our go-to lines when we don't care for what we just ate off our plate. 😄

Happy to see a reaction to this movie! It’s one of my comfort movies. It never fails to make me cry when she’s driving away in the limo and the kids are running after her. Goldie Hawn has been in great quirky rom-coms. Another one I really enjoy is Housesitter (with Steve Martin).
Love this movie. If you like Goldie Hawn you might also want to check out Private Benjamin.
I like how she remembered everything without Grant saying a word.
Yes! I think the revelation was perfect!
I know you guys have watched the movie “Almost Famous”, and the girl who played Penny Lane (Kate Hudson) is actually Goldie’s daughter.
♥️✌🏼😎
Summer Rental (1985) a comedy with John Candy is a fun movie that not a lot of people have reacted to.
It gets no better than Goldie and Kurt. Couples goals fr🥰
Love this movie. Goldie Hawn is one of favorite actors. You guys should watch Wild Cats and Private Benjamin both with Goldie Hawn
Yes!! Wild Cats and Private Benjamin are both so good!
OMG!!! Yes Wildcats!!!
Love that Goldie & Kurt are a real couple❤ still together and have beautiful acting kids who looks just like them.
The thing that grabbed her shirt tail in the montage is a clothes wringer, because they don't have a dryer and she has to hang clothes. (Thank God for modern electric dryers lol). You send your clothes through it one at a time and it wrings the excess water out into the tank at the bottom.
It's Kurt Russell, he played Wyatt Earp In the movie "Toombstone"!
Jay, as someone who feels the same way as you do about romcoms, I would suggest you two watch 'Kate And Leopold" and "While You Were Sleeping", they are very good and both you and Amber will enjoy them. One of them has a sci-fi element in it that you will really appreciate.
I love this movie and the HOUSE SITTER with Steve Martin and Goldy hawn
Love this movie!! Love Kirk and Goldie!! Y'all need to watch Coalminer's Daughter! True account of Loretta Lynn's life. It's one of my all time favorites. It reminds me of the stories I was told about my Grandparents early life in the Hills of Arkansas.❤
This was a favorite of my families growing up! We quoted it all the time. It’s so fun to watch you guys see it now. It still has the same humor and charm. It stands the test of time❤

You guys should watch, “Wildcats.” You’d both like it. It stars Goldie plus it’s a football movie.
This movie is my guilty pleasure - loved it since it came out 36 years ago. So pleased that it can still make younger folks enjoy a lovely movie.
👏👏 Excellent reaction Jay and Amber! I am so glad you enjoyed this movie with Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn! This was one of my favorite movies to rewatch over and over again! I enjoyed your reaction! ☮💕
I'd forgotten how good a movie this really was ❤ it's been so many years. I just know I've always associated this movie as when Goldie and Kurt fell in love ❤️
The rich husband is the grandpa on Gilmore Girl’s!!!
I re-watch my favorite movies with them all the time
I hope I didn't give the wrong impression.
I think they're great 😊
Amber, you mentioned that your Mom talked about Farrah Faucett. She played in a sci-fi adventure movie called “Logan’s Run” She plays a small part in the movie as the Doctor’s assistant. A great 70’s movie
This is such a great movie! Lots of silliness and crazy stuff but is a great movie with a great message!❤❤
Ahh the movie Goldie and Kurt met! And since then they have never left there sides . I love this movie and I’m a guy heh !
I seen this movie 100 times. Its still good.
Nail Glue is freakin strong. I had a car with T-tops back in High School that had clips glued to the glass that held covers to block the sun out when tops were on. One fell off and I used my friend's sister's nail glue to glue back in place. It never fell again during my years of ownership.
