Hey AJ, I just want to thank you for making these videos. I have struggled trying to figure out how to have a better audio quality and getting all this knowledge from your videos is truly appreciated!!
We're running our A&H qu-24 into a Blackmagic Web Presenter, where it's married with two video inputs, then going into the computer. The only problem is that the computer is only hearing the house mix. What's a good DAW to use in Windows to remix the audio?
Hello sir Well at church we have singers, the band etc. but now I need your assistance in what I will need when I want to record good quality of them singing and the band at the same time. They sing in front and I am at the back in the sound engineering console so what is it that I need to produce quality audio and videos. Like what software's, what gadgets etc. Thank you for your help. Hope you understand what I am trying to say 🤣🤣🤣
You have NO idea how perfectly timed this is. I have spent the last 3 days trying to figure out sound. We just got a new setup. We have a Roland v-1hd switcher. So far just one camera but the audio directly from the soundboard into the RCA in on the switcher has too much noise. Just a loud hum with the sound faint. Any idea what we could do to help? Would it be best to go directly into the camera and not the switcher?
@@AJaytheCEO thanks for the reply! We figured something out. Finally got sound but there is still a low hum. Luckily it is still useable. It was definitely too much from the soundboard so we did some adjusting there.
AJ I have a small church in Ludowici, Ga. I have just purchased a ATEM to do live streaming. I currently use phones and canon eos t5 for video. Hoping to upgrade to at least one blackmagic cinema camera in the future. Just wanted you to know you have helped me in my local ministry. God bless 🙏
Hi Aj, I am coming from a small church in Malaysia with a simple instrument mic-in to a simple Yamaha 24 channel mixer. Currently i have installed OBS and Audacity, an apps for live streaming (Zoom & Facebook). I just wondering if we can live-stream our sunday service thru both the media (Zoom and facebook) the video (thru OBS) and thru Audacity (by processing the audio plus music). I know if it is just a recording this can be done by using Audacity. But if it is live stream?
@AJaytheceo question I'm having issues with SLOBS multicast toggle it's missing I've re-entered the keys for FB and YT but still not showing Thanks for all your help and knowledge ✊🏽
Thank you for all your Wonderful videos, please been having issues on our audio recording and audio Livestream to FB, at first when the whole voice and instrument are soft the sound tends to be ok, but immediately everything becomes intense the audio becomes noisy. I usually pick the sound from the AUXILIARY on the mixer through a big jack and a quarter jack into the system, by this I can control each mic and instrument volume on the auxiliary on the line of each channel, I also use OBS for live streaming and audacity for audio recording. Please what am I doing wrong?
Thank AJayCeo, enjoy what you do for everyone God Bless you, u had one question, im using ipweb cam on Android phone as a camera close to the pulpit, a camcorder in the sound booth to record also and in connected to laptop thru hdmi cable, we are live streaming on Facebook thru obs,, does my sound need to come thru the ip web cam if so what are the settings.. if the sound comes from the camcorder with camcorder mic,? Basically what my settings in obs mic/aux?? By the way we have a behringer 32/64 sound board by the laptop running the stream..
I would have my sound come from the house sound if available. If you have to use sound from different sources, you will need to isolate the sound instead of syncing.
We (church) have a mixer. I have it via xlr to irig2. Only works correctly when hooking up to ipad. When hooking up to laptop, no sound. Can I not link to laptop via windows laptop (dell xps)? iRig only for mac products?
My problem isn’t getting the audio from my board to the stream but getting a QUALITY audio mix from the board (X32). Every instrument and person sounds separate with no effects. Any suggestions?
I'm in the same boat. I'm learning audio mixing. We hire a professional to tweak our sound. It wasn't expensive maybe $200-$300 for an actual professional in the field
@AJayTheCeo I NEED HELP AJ, My church is new to this and we’re about to start switcher studio using an iPhone. I’m having an issue trying to figure out how to mix the audio on there. I hear there is a wireless port that can be used to plug in the soundboard and the phone. Help me AJ, what’s the beat route to go for a professional sound in this situation?
For our live stream audio at our church we want to take the output from the larger house mixer and mix it in a smaller remote mixer for our stream to have better control on the quality of the audio going into the stream. What is your opinion on this approach?
Having problems with our usb card output from the x32 into both OBS and Streamyard. When I insert the usb connection it shuts off all the audio connections in streamyard. OBS appears to recognize the connection but no audio is coming through. I routed my main outputs to the correct card outputs and still nothing comes across.
Press the windows key and x, go to device manager and at the bottom for usb, go to the properties of each and make sure you turn off, turn off power to devices and see if that helps
Would you say the cleanest option for sound is going through that converter into the ATEM tv studio? I’m using ATEM mini pro from my mixer but I don’t like having multiple gain structures. I’ve been thinking of using ATEM for video and my Apollo x4 for audio instead of going through the ATEMs 1/8 inch mic plug.
Hi Ajay. Thanks for your video, really helps us to live stream for our church messages. I am having problems with live streaming. It seems that my laptop does not see the ATEM MINI PRO AS WEBCAM with only ethernet cable, however the laptop sees the ATEM when it is connected through USB-C. My ATEM MINI Pro and Laptop is connected both on ethernet switch. I have check the stream key. it is all fine. any thoughts
Thanks for the video I was looking for something on the audio setup for streaming and it was helpful. I do have a question you gave the option of connecting a wireless mic (in my case Blink500) directly to the camera, in that instance will the camera carry sound and video to the computer via the capture card? Basically what difference will it make on the computer and to have the mic connected on camera vs connected on directly on the person?
By the way the first time I was trying to learn about OBS , your video was the first I came across. So thanks much for the content. Im a novice in the field and im part of the media team of my church. It's helpful to see brothers giving information about that.
Nice video. I'm currently using the USB out to my PC for our church live streaming but I find the music, pastors mic and worship singing sound not loud and clear and a little muffled. I was able to add gain to the mics in OBS using a filter but I feel the overall sound can still improve much. I ordered a new sound card so I'm hoping that makes a difference. I'm really thinking about using the record out to the PC line in for sound. I have a new sound card coming in so I hope that helps. Any tips is greatly appreciated.
I'm running into the same problem on our stream audio. We use VMix and the audio is constantly peaking and getting distorted, but when you listen to the stream, you have to have the volume cranked up into the 80-95% level to have a decent listening experience. I've been messing with the gains on our pastor's mic, the X32 mixer, and in VMix; I've also been trying to add compression to avoid the peaks but to no avail. I don't quite understand what I'm missing with this one. I am also using the recommended components from VMix for the laptop we use so I know my computer has what is needed.
AJ - first, THANK YOU! Your videos have been very helpful. Our church just wrapped up week 2 of being live. Video is looking great, but we are having an issue with audio. Our audio sounds like we have a helicopter sound track going playing. Do you have any suggestions or ideas? House audio sounds great, but audio from camera to PC (via external USB3 capture card), sounds like there is a helicopter in the audio.
@@andthenwhat3506 we resolved the helicopter issue by bypassing the camera for audio. We ran XLR from mixer to presonus audiobox, the audiobox to PC for OBS. This provided us with much better audio. By doing this we did have a sync issue between audio and video, but super easy to fix by off setting the audio.
Hey Ajay On mixers do we always need a USB Audio Interface like Scarlett 2i2? I'm wondering if I should get one for my church's mixer, right now we use a lav mic and it picks up almost everything.
Hi Ajay, thank you greatly for your videos 1. Can you provide more info on using USB for sound? Have an Allan & Heath ZED 436 During lockdown in South Africa I started using OBS. Followed all your videos and OBS worked like a dream at home. Laptop and Webcam with desktop audio. Check to make sure you back down the volume from your board first and see if that resolves it, then check your cables.
