    Thanks for sharing. I've been using another platform for streaming but really want to start using OBS with at least 2 cameras. 1) Do you know if there's a charge to for using multiple cameras? 2) Can I use my Canon 6D for a 2hrs plus service on a wide shot. Would it shut off or run hot?

    • @reachright
      @reachright  7 місяців тому

      1.OBS is completely free regardless of how much you put onto it so no charge. They have a lot of integrations in the software now that you can pay for if you want but OBS itself will let you add as much as you want for free. (There's probably some finite limit at some point but I've had over 24 sources in at once with no issues before).
      2. The Canon 6D (assuming it's the Mark ||) shouldn't get too hot after 2 hours. It'll be warm but canon's can handle long run times as far as heat goes a lot better than Sony if you're in a controlled room temp environment. The issue you will most likely have however is the recording limit and standard on time limit. Canon has a limit built in to every camera I've used from them that I can think of where it automatically shuts off after 30 mins. There's no way to disable it that I know of. Some have said the firmware addon "magic lantern" gives you the ability to "jailbreak" a canon and disable this feature but I've never tried it myself so can't speak to it or recommend it. The way my church gets around this recording limit is turning the cameras off and on every 30 mins during service. we typically just switch to whatever camera we are not resetting , reset (turn off and on) the camera who's shot is not being used, then switch camera shots and do the same for the other camera. It's always been a hassle which is why most recently we've switched over entirely to PTZ cameras that don't have a limit. -David

    We use to simply use FB and now need to utilize a seprate tool to broadcase with and I've setup a UA-cam Channel though still want to broadcast to FB at the same time. I've also completed the OBS setup and simply need to know how to connect this to FB stream at the same time!

      OBS only gives you an option to stream to one "stream key" at a time. that being said, you would have to use a service like "Restream" that allows you to stream to multiple platforms (youtube and facebook at the same time). A service like Restream will give you ONE stream key to use and within Restream you set up all of the streams you want to run at the same time. Good luck!

    This is a GREAT VIDEO! Im still learning the micro things about broadcasting and my church wants to switch to OBS…question, since we have all our “looks” saved on pro presenter, what option would you leave it on? I noticed that you were manually changing from camera angles and back to presenter, but is there a way to leave it on an option let’s say “presenter” and OBS responds to whatever “looks” you use in presenter? So if the look is announcement videos, and your “looks” is set to that video to play every where (broadcast and in house) would OBS know? Or during worship, your worship settings in presenter is set to lower thirds while broadcast is seeing that plus the camera angle, would OBS automatically know or you have to manually switch it in OBS?

      We currently use Atem..could we continue using that and have atem talk to OBS and pull that in and just leave it on “atem option”? Not sure if this makes sense lol

    • @reachright
      @reachright  Рік тому

      I've never used Atem and honestly haven't used looks in pro presenter either. Anything added to OBS as final "display" of what pro presenter is showing though will reflect pro presenter the same way. -David

    is it possible to stream to multiple platforms with obs?

    • @reachright
      @reachright  2 місяці тому

      Yes. Just use the stream key OBS gives you in settings and then you'll have to put that stream key into a service that offers multi-platform streaming such as "restream"

    How many Cameras will OBS work with? We have 3

    • @reachright

      No camera limit. Just depends on how strong your computer is and what it can handle. Hope this is helpful.

    Hi - I am just new to OBS and live streaming. The problem I have right now is the audio levels of my streaming. Is there a way to master the audio level in OBS?

    • @reachright
      @reachright  3 місяці тому

      OBS will let you control every individual source plugged into your computer so if you're trying to adjust individual audio levels VIA OBS only, you'd have to make sure they are all independently plugged in. If you're adding something that has multiple audio sources (vocals, instruments, speaker etc...) it's only going to be added as ONE overall volume. Those would have to be mixed separately from something like a mixer or soundboard before being added to OBS.

    Great video! I'm getting super sharp quality but anytime there is movement from people in front it looks choppy. I've checked the bitrate, fps from 30 to 60 to fix this issue but still can't find a solution. I'm also using the camp link. I'm hooked through ethernet and I'm using a Fuji X-T2 which supports 1080p and 4k. It's driving me crazy! I've tried everything I can, but still can't get a smooth picture when there is movement. I'm using a mac as well. I've played around with the camera's shutter speed too but still no luck. Has anyone had this problem? Don't know what else to do.

    • @reachright
      @reachright  10 місяців тому

      Hmmm, can't say I know for certain how to fix this but I'd simply start by right clicking on the camera as a source in OBS and looking at it's properties. Disable anything that is checkmarked for "auto. Exporsure, white balance, and brightness are the biggest trouble makers when it comes to video sources in OBS for me and disabling their "auto" adjust features and manually setting them to look right helps me the most. -David.

      your video switcher just plugs into your computer via USB. Then in OBS, add a "video capture device" and from the dropbdown box, pick your video switcher.
