This is a special episode, our beloved Doris has been missing in action due to medical reasons, and she shares in this video how she is currently recovering from brain surgery, which she underwent this past February to remove a tumor. While recovering Doris has gained more strength and reflected on second chances, and the sentimental fortunes that make her heart skip a beat.

Happy healing Doris. Thank-you for allowing us to view your treasures. I'm a stage III ovarian cancer survivor, still fighting after being diagnosed in 2014. Part of my therapy was vintage shopping. The best advice I've received was two words, "stay positive". I live in Canada 🇨🇦 but have a friend in California. If they ever lift the travel ban, I will try to get there so I can work for you for free. I'm sure there are many out there that feel it would be a dream job. You look fantastic. Thank-you.

As a cancer survivor I can say...hang in there! it gets better. Stay strong!
So sorry you had that challenge to go through. I really was blessed. It wasn’t cancer, it was in the front lobe so recovery was easier, it happened in LA so I had THE best neuro-surgeon and I could think of a hundred other ways it could have gone. It was the best of a shitty situation and in the end, I’m doing great. So happy for YOUR survival!!
Hope you enjoyed the episode. I was pretty emotional when we short that. Gratitude is a powerful medicine.

Your room and you mentioning how you’re a “hoarder” reminded me of a shop here in Montreal. There’s a woman here who has turned a duplex apartment building into a vintage shop. It’s called “The Little Shoppe” and it is FILLED to the brim with amazing finds. From vintage Chanel to Edwardian lace, beautiful 20’s hats, and even old perfume bottles. The first time I stepped in, I thought it was a hoarder house (it wasn’t dirty mind you, just packed), but the more I looked, I realized it was filled with treasure. It’s sort of a “secret” shop in Montreal. If you’re ever here Doris, I highly recommend going to The Little Shoppe. I think you’ll find some great pieces for your own collection or for your store☺️.
