I am a 55 year old black male diagnosed with hypertension AND pre-diabetic. I came across your channel I assume through the algorithms because I like to cook and try different recipes. Since I now have to seriously make a life style change I look at coming across your channel as "a sign".
So far I have tried 2 of your recipes and they were surprisingly delicious because I always looked at being plant based as void of flavor and fun. Thank you for your entertaining way of showing people like myself that eating healthy doesn't mean void of flavor and Thank you for helping me help myself.
Don't know if you know or realize, but you are out here throwing out lifelines and every recipe I enjoy I share with friends who are not plant based.
Keep up the amazing work young man!

Tire free mushroom texture: grind them up to powder in your coffee/spice grinder, then use. I used them as part of my "seasoning" for a veggie burger.

Your soup looks so good i can almost smell it. Growing up in a house with a Korean mother I ate like this all the time. I'm going to try to tell you this gently, those mushrooms are almost never eaten like that. I've never eaten one like that. They're either sliced really thin, diced really tiny or pressure cooked. In any case, no stem. The broth you get from the FIRST cooking is the richest, but it's not that last time you use those guys. If you don't want to eat them right away or you have nothing but stems left throw them into the freezer to do this again. Mom always used those things about 3 times before they go into the compost.

thank you so much for sharing! thats super helpful! my wife and one of my daughters eat mushrooms. they dont care if the mushroom is whole, sliced, has the stem on or any 😂. so i typically keep the stem on since it helps reduce the waste and helps the meal go further. but this is great info and ill keep it in mind! thanks again!

🙌🏾 that so amazing! thank you for sharing! my wife used to scramble to figure out what to do about her eczema. since being vegan she hasnt had issues as well. i think what was partly worse was that feeling of helplessness. it really great now to see this helping others!

Which food group/type do you think triggers your eczema? I'm a mostly plant-based vegetarian, but have done vegetarian keto in the past, the later actually made my skin less dry (maybe there were other factors at play which I didn't consider).

Sooooo trying that smoothie (insert me running out the door to procure fresh ginger)! PURPLE POTATO.... 🔥Not as in spicy, but so amazing to eat. Fiber? The health of the planet would be so different if humans gave way more attention to getting enough natural fiber through they food they eat. COME ON WORLD... I never met a food high in fiber that was bad for me. Just sayin... Keep up the great work and PEEEEEEEEEEEEAACCCCCCE! *UPDATE*. Made the smoothie without the ice and a scoop of pea protein.
