mystery boat is the "kit full-o-fun #2" These kits are fun to put together and are commonly found at the bottom of most inlets & lakes. went out of business in '97 (sinking sails)
Amazing to see these people who live here and obviously know the conditions don’t empty the bow of their passengers. I worked fishing boat 40 plus years ago and we’d tell people to leave the bow while we moved from location to location if conditions were gnarly. Also. To see so many boat’s designed with horrible view of what’s directly in front of them. Moron designs.
King of the Haulover Stuff - Midnight Express The sexy long low-slung bow on a relatively flat bottomed hull with the big-money power capable of pushing the bow through walls of water, along with the typical overly aggressive image-driven owner.... is the perfect recipe for the Midnight Express' habit of consistent stuffing...
Again, we see children with no PFD’s on. If the adults choose not to wear them, so be it. But those adults have to insist on the children having them on. What was the outcome of that woman being swept overboard in 2020? Hopefully that guy that dove in saved her and didn’t end up as a statistic.
Saw a pontoon come cruising by with a guy sitting on top of the outboard with a beer. Later talked to him the steering cable broke, he had his feet on the transom and was 'steering with his butt'.
I wonder if that Dusky wasn't overloaded to start with? It's a 25, right? Back of the envelope calculation says it should carry 14 people, but that assumes 150 lbs each, and there were maybe 2 of the 9 passengers who were under 200. It also assumes ideal conditions, which Haulover pretty much never is.
yeah..the engine died..we can hear it begging for mercy on the way out of the inlet...it was overloaded..also thats a rig that doesn't belong there on most days.
Yeah, he seemed to have at least some basic skill. He miscalculated a little bit near the end and got some splash, but he was never out of control. The white invincible handled it like a champ though!
Digging the channel and really bringing back some great memories of when I lived off of the Florida panhandle. Just out of curiosity, what is the name to the intro song?
We sailed an Irwin 10-4 out of Monty Trainer's in the "80s and I never saw insanity to this degree. About the worst thing that happened was boats getting too close for the Regatta or a catamaran flipping. These people seem to be oblivious to the strength of the sea. They are standing into danger.
That boat at 8:30. All people drinking, more people onboard then allowed and to close with gold key, nobody in lifeguards. Ridiculous!!!! Life doesnt have value? Come on people!!!!
2:11 depending on the vessels shape/displacement will cause the boat to dig in to more stable water, and making its own wake to fight back the incoming forces. Causing the boa5 to become more stable,(also depends on severity of the seascape aswell) 2:11
2:48 and here we have a winner, what a beast of a boat right here lady's and gentlemen, no ads needed, this is all that manufacturer needs to sell these bad bouys
--Never overload your boat like that. Just because your boat has a maximum occupancy doesn't mean you should test the limits.😂 --Always wear a life jacket. My dad was a 300lb fat man. He always demands everyone wear a vest\jacket, even him.😂 --Always power up on the throttle... Bumpy rides are better than being a "soup laddle." 😂 Cheers
The Captain of the Cigarette at 3:22 knows a thing or two. Workin his throttle like a rodeo star. Now the one piloting the Invicible just before him is just a tewl ass hat comin into the inlet on the port side like that. I'm wondering what the crash rate is at Haulover? As for LEO presence there it's just to let people know they're in the area. No one ever likes the Cops until they need one then bitch about why they're not there sooner............smh Why hasn't the county/city put a speed limit in that inlet is beyond me.
It should be scary for everyone and in particular for those with experience that a skipper with no license, no training whatsoever can go through this busy inlet with over 40 footers at 50+ miles an hour. The waves make visibility very poor, there could be someone swimming for all you know and you could have to avoid them in last second decision, where do you go? boats don't stop or turn like cars do, so? over the jet-ski, over the pontoon boat loaded with the entire family or collide with the big yacht ? I know, your freedom, well you should go exercise your freedom to drive dangerously where it is safe for everyone and where you can get more hours behind the wheel to get confirmed as skipper. Someone will loose their life and many will cry. Not mentioning that the channel just emphasize the above as everyone wants their moment of glory. I boat every week and for the last 50 years, so I admit the years have made me more quiet with the levers but I was licensed even before getting my IMO certification and I avoid those places if I can. Worse is that the day something really bad happens and it will all of us voyeurs will make the channel counter roll over 6 digits.
Some Captains make it seem so flawless and easy 😼😎 Most have no consideration for the safety of their passengers, children!!! Not experienced, total disregard for safety...... do not know what else to add..... 🤦♂️...... Mmmmm..... maybe ego and alcohol play a role as well. What do I know???!!!! Some are trying to sink their boats, some try to drown their passengers!!!! Dangerous!!! Have been on 5 MSC Cruises, member and experience in the NSRI (National Sea Rescue Institute) in Namibia, South Africa......I think their are more "Cowboy 🤠 Skippers" over in the US 🇺🇸 😳...... Okay okay.... more boats, more Captains and more money 😝
Steering failure, boat overloaded for conditions, nobody even thinking about grabbing life jackets in case it takes a big wave and starts going under. I honestly don’t understand how people that are so foolish actually have the money for boats in the first place
i have 2 questions 1. where the f are these people going? i saw many rods but aint no one going bottom fishing on 25’ of boat in 15’ seas and calling it fun … i forgot my second question. lol
When there are folks who have to put a few dollars together to get a meal for their family and we have folks who spend a Million bucks on a pleasure boat.....we know the worlds Fkd up.
It's troubling to see these police boat(s) always come out for absolutely nothing, the towboat is there, why not let the boaters call the police if they need them? This guy is getting paid to cruise around all day in a million dollar boat, burning untold gallons of gas. Really, lets rethink water cops. And worse, they are most likely a retired (on disability) cop from some northern city.
If you had 5-6 patrol cars from different agencies in your "neighborhood" you would think you lived in a police state. And if there is an problems, a private (towboat) does takes care of you.@@NSCR2020
Nothing troubling about that at all. There is also enough stupidity in the area that warrants them and rescue to be there - go binge through this channel and that of wavy boats and you will see why they hang around there. I would rather cops be there than sitting behind a sign trying to radar for speeders on a straight highway.
mystery boat is the "kit full-o-fun #2" These kits are fun to put together and are commonly found at the bottom of most inlets & lakes. went out of business in '97 (sinking sails)
The red mystery boat looks like it could be an older Baja or Checkmate.
Maybe a powerplay 185
Regal velocity circa 1988
Checkmate
95% of those captains have no idea how to trim their outboards. In heavy seas, trim them up to push the stern down and bring the bow up.
I find it constantly amazing seeing so many Overloaded boats going out in Questionable conditions…
are that many of these boats really overloaded ? I'm no expert but isn't the speed and lack of skill and local knowledge the problem here ?
@@davidtsw Lack of speed and positive trim.
4:04 the mystery boat looks an awful lot like a Checkmate.
or a older wellcraft

@@veiledallegory Not anymore. Hell, we live in a country that doesn’t know what a woman is today.
Most of captain's in this video have no clue what they should do. So I think they lack experience or are just stupid.

The guy who dove in and tried to save her had no life jacket on either.
Saw a pontoon come cruising by with a guy sitting on top of the outboard with a beer. Later talked to him the steering cable broke, he had his feet on the transom and was 'steering with his butt'.
Notice cousin Eddy up front does not let go of his beer!!
Mystery boat is not a Checkmate. Possibly an 80s Python.
It's all fun and games until something breaks... doh!
This is just NOT fun boating to me at all. I will take our 30ft Carver on the lazy Mississippi and our Jet boat on our Lake any day of the week. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
👍👍👍👍

Maybe put couple more big people in it???
Timing and Momentum are your best friends
The red mystery boat looks like it could be an older wellcraft. Old enough to have undergone a substantial refurbishment
Mystery boat looks like and old school donzi
someone said Checkmate
Not checkmate or Donzi. Possibly an 80s Python.
The Fountain at around 2:30 seemed to handle the waves really good for it's size.
Yeah, he seemed to have at least some basic skill. He miscalculated a little bit near the end and got some splash, but he was never out of control. The white invincible handled it like a champ though!
Mystery Boat - It's the Tubbs and Crocket Special out of Miami!
i love this video
Thanks
mystery boat looks like a mid 80s Stingray 235ss
Denny, that is what I think also.
nice drone flying👏
Thanks ✌
My question is do these boats have to go thru that inlet or do they just think it's fun I would launch somewhere else
Digging the channel and really bringing back some great memories of when I lived off of the Florida panhandle. Just out of curiosity, what is the name to the intro song?
Was that the windshield wiper that fell off at 2:23, 2:24?
Why are lifejackets not mandatory for children in the US?
We sailed an Irwin 10-4 out of Monty Trainer's in the "80s and I never saw insanity to this degree. About the worst thing that happened was boats getting too close for the Regatta or a catamaran flipping. These people seem to be oblivious to the strength of the sea. They are standing into danger.
I think the red mystery boat is a late 80’s Checkmate
Lots of boats testing their bilge pumps.
That boat at 8:30. All people drinking, more people onboard then allowed and to close with gold key, nobody in lifeguards. Ridiculous!!!! Life doesnt have value? Come on people!!!!
Amazing how they overload what looks like a toy boat that actually has no business out there. Some are proud of their dinghy! 😂
checkmate
Thats what I thought.
Mystery boat is a "Squamous Endothelial"
Life vest check & BUI check also.
The mystery boat is either a donzi or a checkmate
Little red boat looks like a Worlock or checkmate maybe?
1.27. Million on a boat is just a 1 hr run from the Bahamas. Millions left in the pocket. Are 45 years at club Fed.
Title should be Smack Down. Safety, don’t believe that was on any bodies minds today when they went out.
A plumb bow and an open front don't make for a good rough water boat.
How would you correct the boat that lost the lady?
The first thing you DON'T do is dive in after her with no flotation. That just makes for 2 people to rescue.
Now these are some hard-core #SeaTrials
0:46 knot to be done while inexperienced or for the weak of heart
2:11 depending on the vessels shape/displacement will cause the boat to dig in to more stable water, and making its own wake to fight back the incoming forces. Causing the boa5 to become more stable,(also depends on severity of the seascape aswell) 2:11

4:52 can we say"At Capasity"?
Funny thing about kids, hold their head under water and the screaming stops. Hmm, crazy.
10 people on that boat that’s made for 6 at most and a mercury engine from the early 2000s. 😂
I think thered boatwas off to Maui
Is there a person in water at 5:03 ? overboard or just crazy enough to swim in this high traffic lane?
life vests not reuired?
At 4:17 - is that an old Sanger??
4:09
Looks like a old checkmate or Formula

@4:10 Red Mystery Boat a Pantera ?
where are the life jackets ???
MY BOAT IS A 1993 ...PYTHON 24.7 IT THE SAME HULL AS A PANTERA OFFSHORE RACING BOAT
Some people are complete idiots. The boat at 4:50 is probably overloaded and with children not wearing life jackets!
Most of these boats are overloaded and passengers, especially the children are not wearing safety belts /jackets
Why don’t these expensive boats have gyroscopes?
How can you conquer the waves here?
Trim not work on expensive boats?
Why is everyone in such a rush?
When the water is as rough as that day, would carefully zig zag route be a safe route out of the inlet?
more speed and positive trim would cure 90% of the stupidity
And not one fool donned a PFD!
@1:34 pause and zoom in. 😺
You pack your tiny little boat with children....NOT ONE life jackets until it's too late.
Mystery boat is a Magnum
Checkmate?
The mystery boat is a Carrera jet boat
Checkmate?
Why would you wanna beat up on your boat like that.???
Must be a "No life jackets allowed. Especially for children" sign at the boat ramps. 😳
Never heard of life jackets duh
The thing about COMMERCIALS is they snap me out of trance when watching vids. Than I move on.

sign of the times where you have to explain what happens if you loose your steering,, ,,,,, really?????
Morons? CHECK
Very Expensive Boats? CHECK
No life jackets? CHECK

That girl will have nasty bruises from the bow rail I think. Lucky not togreak an arm or leg...makes swimming difficult....
i own a million dollar boat - i just don't know how to drive it
smh
I still can't fathom people will pay 1.25 million.... for something like that. Just ridiculous. Lol
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Tiny old single engine fishing boat overloaded with passengers.
Guaranteed fail.

It's "shoveling ", not stuffing.
The white boats and especially the one with the tower is doing it right!! 😂 what a bunch of amateurs
They’re far better off pacing the waves, but it’s like they’re clueless as to how to do so
They’re better off going faster. What a bunch of rookies
Yea this kind of boating is a guy thing,a challenge!
That Invincible is one stupid looking boat.
