PROBLEMS building the OVERLAND CAMPER | Ep. 4

- Things are getting serious with the Defender Camper Build. As you can see, I had to remove the side window because of water leakage problems. But there's also good news because I finished a large part of the interior build. The storage system is as good as finished, and now I can focus on other projects. Enjoy episode 4, and don't forget to subscribe if you want more content like this!

Bovenfrees!! So, what's it called in your country?? Let me know in the comments below 😁👇🏻
I think it’s called a router.
@@freekolafdegroot2776 bovenfrees sounds way cooler 😁
Snap! Beer + popcorn, I’m ready. Problems are there to be solved. Next level sound effects: “bovenfrees”.
The problem is the situation, and the challenge is the response 😁 Shall I make an episode in which I do ALL the sound effects myself?
@@HaveFunAndGo oh that's a great idea on paper... not sure how it would work out in reality though 🤔

Hi Erik. Nice videos! I'm in exactly (more or less) the same process: making a overlanding vehicle from my defender 110. In my humble opinion you did forget two things whilst making your speakerbox: 1. A bass reflex port. 2. Some insulation pads on the inside to improve the bass reflex. Also, I was wondering where you got the protective corners? I'd like to install those on the corners of my seatbase! Good luck and please keep the videos coming ! :)
Hi Coen, thanks for the helpful feedback on the speaker box! First, I will continue with the interior as I still have to build the rear right speaker. Once I've installed everything and reconnected the stereo, I will blast some dance music through the Defender. If it sounds terrible, I can always drill a hole for the bass reflex port, right?! Adding some insulation is quick and easy! I bought the corner protectors at the Hornbach hardware store. I upload a new episode every Sunday! Good luck with the Overland camper build. Do you already have plans for a trip?
Is it really necessary? No! Does it look better? Yes! 😂 Nice episode man!!
Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it! And.. it does look better, right?! (;
So, that's how you remove a Defender's side window... Thanks for that! I had no idea, but now that I know... I'm really eager to try it myself because I have a leakage problem as well.
Oh yeah, it's really easy! Just be careful when removing the rivets, one slip of a power drill can cause significant damage to paint-work!
Great video Erik. Loved the attention to detail on the woodwork going into the side panels. Did you use marine ply?
Thank you, Chris! It's not marine ply, but quality plywood. It can take a beating, but I'm painting all the panels for extra protection.
@@HaveFunAndGo Only asking as I am looking to put a shelf/floor across the two wheel arch sections to make a draw underneath. How did you attach the wood to the arch sections. Did you drill through into the wheel arch itself?
No problem, I'd love to help where I can. Yes, you can drill into the wheel arch. A tip is to drill from the bottom to the top or at least make sure you don't drill into the wheel arch support beams.
Keep the random dutch words 😅
Tapijtkleefband! 😄 Ben je al op pad?
