I spent 75% of the initial cleaning process saying "You should wear gloves, dude..." 🤣 Still, pretty satisfying video to watch. Congratulations on having Alabama cleaned up! And good luck with this new project!
this beetle is pretty nice. You might be able to just do a repair section on the right pan half and drive it like it is. I have seen some guys drive much worse. Just replace that section behind the seat in the car Butt a piece in there or some patches. and Drive that sucker. Those rear seats have the original material on them. Fronts were replaced. but they are still really cool.
Hi there, first of all congratulations on rescuing the Volkswagen, and also for all your work on the channel, recently I also rescued a Beatle here in Brazil, it's a 1979, it doesn't have that wonderful patina that yours has, but it's getting good, a hug and I just subscribed to your channel.
You need a Project Manager CT. I was hoping this was bought as a parts car for Georgia. You already know that this one is too far gone to fully restore, but it looks like you could make use of many of these parts to help finish Georgia. I'm just trying to help you stay on track with your current projects.
Yes, it's in pretty goos shape but it does have some moister issues. Wolfsburg West makes a really nice one for the beetle...not sure if they have one for the Ghia.
It's in the garage. You can see it in the background in this video. More updates on the 1965 "Georgia" soon. This one is "Alabama" a 1964 barn find! =)
This reminds me of a VW Bug project car I had many years ago. There was sooo much rust everywhere in and on it !! I had to rip out all of the interior it was all rotten and smelled really bad. I eventually took the car completely apart, restored as many of the parts and pieces as I possibly could then spent a whole bunch of $$$ replacing what I could not restore or repair. I wish I still had my bug, I really miss that car !!!
Hey, just curious, are you ever gonna finish the swamp wagon?Put it back together, I know you got about 10 projects going on.But you've never finished one over them.Let's see that haopen and thank you for the videos
My first thought was you bought a spare part spender for "Georgia " , CT. But okay let's do some basic works and get it really quick on the road again.
CT please wear gloves mate you just don't know what may lurk in the junk would hate for you to get bitten or fall sick dirty dust particles etc. Wear a mask mate your videos are magnificent always look forward to them
Scrubbing bubbles is very good for mildew at Costco se have mildew sometimes and us maintenance have to clean it up and we use scrubbing bubbles for it so yeah
um our eyes may be going bad, but at fifty eight , i strongly suggest in "seriously rethinking of the floor mats" they look in great condition just needs some soaking, and cleaning, they are still in great shape nonetheless. its good way to save fifty so dollars on new mats
Here in my country, gloves are foreign to us. Our hands are gnarled and callused. But to this folk who pick parts gingerly using his thumb and forefinger, he clearly needs gloves. When we pick things we used all our hand fingers. Pardon my English, I'm not good.
No gloves, no mask. How do you do it? I can feel the dust in my throat even though I'm not there.🤢 27:18 I'm going to get my dust mask after digging through for 20 minutes without it 😵💫
that's a 65 red seats 65 only seats, the first year the front seat backs get slim and the last year of the white seat frames , no wonder you have red seat belts under the hood , im building a 65 sunroof currently
my question to you is why don’t you try epoxy resin or epoxy on the whole floor of course patch the giant holes and stuff just a question i don’t think it would take much to accomplish this and it would be super cheap instead of taking all the floors out you use clear or whatever color you want
That is good to know. I've been looking for clues as to when he stopped driving it. They said he stoped driving the car 25 years ago. seems like it's been sitting longer to me.
Hey CT. Good to see you again waiting more on that beatle hope she’s has some meat left on the bone I know you strip it down like the first one the tunnel hopefully is good take the body off see what you got to work with you becoming the CT VW man later man👍⭐️
Esta bien que limpies toda esa basura pero no metas tu mano alli puede morderte o picarte un animal o cortarte y coger una infeccion no seas tan confiado todo por tu seguridad bendiciones buen video

Thanks buddy! =) Yes, need gloves and mask!
I keep patiently waiting for you to finish at least one of your very many projects.
You and me both! haha! =)
Great video. So good to see a classic car coming back to life in this awful throw away world.

CT …you did a pretty good job of pitching that Ebike…they should be happy!
Omg omg omg !!! Im so excited...another car that wont be finished!!!!!
Whatever happened to the Porsche that you started renovating a while back ? 😮
I broke out laughing when your video opened…the close up of lifting the hood….so familiar! So happy to see your post on my screen!

Hope He does not become ill from cleaning out a rodent infested car. Just wear some gloves already. Hanta virus doesn't care.
On a positive note, that glove box looks to be in really good shape. I’ve been on the hunt for one for my ‘68 Ghia forever.
Yes, it's in pretty goos shape but it does have some moister issues. Wolfsburg West makes a really nice one for the beetle...not sure if they have one for the Ghia.
Take some CLR to the paint it’ll get most of that light rust off. Mr clean magic erasers work great on headliners
Yes, I have a gallon of that in the garage. I'll give it a try.
Heck, make sure the floors are solid, make the brakes work good, make her run and drive it!
That's the plan Slade! =)
Twins! Two 1965 Deluxe Volkswagen's neato. Keep it up CT..
Thanks Michael! Yes, twins! actually one is a 64 and the other is a 65 but they do look a lot alike! =)
I little rough but it is salvageable.
Should be able to make it into a daily driver.
Yes, I'm going to get it all sorted out and drive it. Keeping it all stock for the most part.
Sure would like to see the first bug finished up and the Porsche before investing time in watching additional vehicles get took apart
Love watching you clean out cars! lol
Thanks buddy! 🤣
Hello CT I would really like to see you finish 1of your cars
That's the plan Stephen! 😎
Don't know why but watching you make Kits out of all those rusty vehicles is somewhat gratifying, best case you have lots of good parts to sell.
Might need to send out the Mustie bat signal on this one😂
Another good spares find. CT do this one up and have a matching pair for the Good Lady of the house.
The beetle did not get armrest on the driver side until 67
good to know! thanks man!
Hey CT, very cool. I like the orange/ white interior colour combo.
Sooooo how many cars in garage until now? 914s, beetles, ghia...
1965 Beetle, 1964 Beetle, 1968 Ford F250, 1972 Ford F250, 1976 Porsche 914, 1973 Porsche 914 ....maybe some other floating around..haha! =)
@@CTmoogmore to follow😊
Those lids you found on the passenger side look like lids off a Red Vines Licorice Twist bucket.
oh interesting! I was wondering what those are...👍
What happened to the other white bug that you were doing metal work to?
It's in the garage. You can see it in the background in this video. More updates on the 1965 "Georgia" soon. This one is "Alabama" a 1964 barn find! =)

Yes, that's what I was thing too....it's hard to break them up into parts. Let's see if we can bring it back! =)
Oh dear, how many cars is that now? 8 or 10, never finished one yet
Fantastic channel. Really appreciate the quality videos dude.
CT please wear gloves mate you just don't know what may lurk in the junk would hate for you to get bitten or fall sick dirty dust particles etc.

It seems impossible even in Florida, that there are still Beetle "barn finds"!
It's getting rare but Yes, they are still out there.
Before start the engine, do not forget replace the oil in the engine if there is any, or fill with proper oil, and change the oil and air filters.
Mustie 1 mixes Clorox and water Half and half and sprays the whole car down that would help with all that moss and Mold
Yes, that's a good idea! =)
that bar under the matt you found is the equlizer
Scrubbing bubbles is very good for mildew at Costco se have mildew sometimes and us maintenance have to clean it up and we use scrubbing bubbles for it so yeah
That car brings me back in the early 70s my dad had a red one I have a picture of me next to it and my mothers blue Chevelle
Nice job cool vw 😃👏👏👏👍👍👍👍
Thanks! 👍
I think you should save it not bad I expected 👍
Yes, I really want to save this one. It's a 1964...the other one is a 65...64 has smaller windows. 😎

That car had a hard life, a bath after 34 years the door cards cleaned up nice
That's like opening a time capsule.

What a fun video Thanks!
Can you use the doors off that on Georgia ?
❤ great 👍
Working from home now
Yes, for the last few weeks. I was down for a few weeks. Felling better now. I'll be back out at the farm soon. 👍
use some scotchbrite on the whole thing maybe that would get rid of some of the rust
Hi guy you'll get the best result of you use a rotary "turbo" nozzle on your pressure washing machine.
Are you doing a cold start at some point
That is your actual West Coast Mirror . . .
Is the engine still available? The car is very old.
The Coke bottle was from 1994.
