Dear CWM Scott N. 👍👌👏 Always nice meeting you here. Miss seeing you at Jonathan's channel. Best regards, luck and especially health to you, Hunny Bunny, the agents and, last but definitely not least, cute Francine.
I know this won't be what you want to hear.. But, this is probably one my favorite videos you have done. I have shared to several friends and I appreciate it. Between this and the C 10 episode from last year I think building a "beater with a heater" is getting to be a lost art. Great work and if someone was really up against it they could have done this with pop rivets and a grinder. I know you areused to doing a lot higher end work, but this gets someone with just a little cash through for now. Thank you for this, I really appreciate what it takes to make this look as easy as you do. Great job sir!
I'll post my own thoughts in another comment but I wanted to concur. Like the fixing major rust play list, this was a great vid. I love the other stuff too so I won't say its a new favorite but this is the kind of rough and tumble fix the rust and get it back on the road stuff that I do. I could never hope to do the kind of metal finishing and dent repair of old stuff you do but will always be watching to learn more.
While you did it again, took a rusty piece.of crap and made a great looking daily driver with a little touch of Barris thrown in. You do incredible work. Thanks for sharing this video.
@ 15:14 “praying mantis technique” 😂😂😂😂😂😂 sofa king funny You have a very unique SOH - love it! Even when clowning around your exceptional talent is still evident. Excellent video 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
"Filthy garbage dungeon" was definitely my favorite quote of the episode. And one of the better winter beater makeovers I've seen. I'd watch more of this, especially with the "praying mantis" technique, that's gold.
This was awesome even if its not the way you are supposed to do it. This is the kind of work us more normal driveway mechanics fix stuff but in way shorter time. Cut some rust, try to make a part that fits, weld it, hide it with filler and paint with a rattle can. While I love the classic car stuff, amazing artistry with the cut and chops, the miraculous dent and crack disappearing videos, this was a nice long video to procrastinate with while thinking I should be in the driveway right now doing the same thing to my rocker panels.
Oh the good old days...when we did everything on the cheap and it came out better then spending money.lol you remind me of a younger me.i applaud you for the memories.peace
The old girl looks great! Crown Vic's are one of my favorite all time cars. The Timex watch of cars, they can take a licking and keep on ticking. I am going to go outside now and hug my rust free 2004 Crown Victoria. Thanks for the video!
I don't know what you owed the owner of that car, but he got way more than his monies worth. I know we didn't see all the time that you spent on that but you sure did some very acceptable body work in a short time. Thanks for doing a video for us that are freeloading. I appreciate it.
Excellent job, Kyle for a quick splash and dash. Impressed by the wheelarches and doglegs. Rockers came out well, too. I've been summoning as much inner Kyle as I can muster lately having launched into body repair on my 32 sedan. I have even revisited gas welding and hammering and dollying plus using a shrinking wheel. Hopefully it ought to make it into a video series sometime. Ok, all the best, keep on doing what you do. Mart.
It's a 2 week wait, and it's over. You have never disappointed me, I could watch one of your demonstrations every day. How long until our next instalment.
Fluid film and woolwax are not to be underestimated. I've been spraying our cars as well as a bunch of friends' since we moved back to the northeast, and they're all holding up incredibly well. Pair it with a good quality wax on the paint, and your car's basically the TARDIS.
The perfect Saskatchewan winter beater! Certainly more appropriate than some old Volvo with a fresh pinstripe, lol. Love the custom trim delete. Also, those cats should have been conscripted to help keep the rattle cans shaken prior to use!
Thanks Kyle for another very entertaining video. You should stay away from the GTA crowd... next thing you know, they'll have you delivering small packages for them. Keep up the awesome work.
From a customers eye view/close-up nobody's gonna look at an old crown vic for how it's paint job looks, Just as long as all the rust is gone the customer will be pretty happy 👍 Good Job.
I can't get over the work you can do! In my book your a Great Body Man! My favorite on the You tube by far. Most guys would have run from fixing that car not a problem for Carter Thanks!
I think this was taking pity on this old police cruiser, i think the rust deleting, and rustoleum rattle can fix will get this rig down the road awhile longer, and it looks 100% better. You didn't buy replacement rocker panel's, or any other pre fabricated metal to do this, and i have no doubt this budget fix will last much longer. You have some skills, and use what you've got, always makes for a great video, along with sarcasm and humor. G-d bless.
I liked this and thought you did a great job that was appropriate for the car. I hope your self deprecation is sarcasm because you’re really skilled! Thanks!
I love Rustoleum rattle cans :) You've got your very own "Bluesmobile" right there. I second what someone else wrote, that your quick fix-ups are superior in every way to many pro panel shop work. In fact it was great to see you splash out this time and invest in some bondo instead of those usual poverty-level metal=only jobs ;)
The Vic turned out pretty good! White hides quite a bit!! I had a guy next door that painted his old 70's F150 every other year with Tremclad in his driveway!!
You keep going on about how terrible your work looks but I gotta say, looking at it on my crappy old iPad it’s beautiful. That old Ferd will continue blighting the surface of the earth for years to come.
Well that brings back memories. I used to do rust repair. Dirty, crappy thankless work. You fix the holes and a couple of years later it comes back with new holes in different places. I recognize that technique, it's the old cave and pave ! The patches will outlast the rest of the car here in Atlantic Canada.
I absolutely love your channel and all of your projects, but this was my favorite so far. You are incredibly talented and very entertaining. 100% improvement on the car.
Well, I think you've done a great job on in. That is a lot of work not counting all the rattle cans of paint. Keep up the good work because I enjoy everything you are doing.
Bobby Fuller had the hit, but it was written and originally recorded by Sonny Curtis and the Crickets. Sonny joined the Crickets after Buddy's death. Painting in slippers in the house is relatable. I've welded and painted a gas tank in my office/spare bedroom because it was -45°F outside and I had to get it done.

Seeing that you mentioned Cold War Motors I'll be looking forward to your designing and sewing new upholstery for the Crown Vic, please don't disappoint.
I had an old P71 crown Vic for a couple years. They are awesome cars. Thankfully, mine didn’t have any rust, but the paint was sure peeling. Like the dummy I am, I sold it and now wish I hadn’t. Totally agree !!!!!
Way better than the newspaper and Bondo or aluminum tape and Bondo rocker panel repairs I uncovered.
Most definitely....
It seems easy but you need to be quite good to pull this off at a reasonable pace.
Wow, it went from junk to "will be junk in four winters" !

I really felt the pain and agony on those rockers and dog legs. The whole episode was so painful I might watch it again.
