      @@Reecesavage-Alwayswin Yeah, I'm pretty impressed with HF rolling out all of these new brushless tools with a RIDICULOUSLY awesome warranty! They're already great about returns for me, even telling me that even if nothing is wrong with the tool, bring it back and get a new one before the warranty expires. Not sure if I'm proud or ashamed of the fact that the employees at my local HF know me by name. lol

    Haven't subscribed at this second... but I'll jump to your site and see if I am intrigued. For now, thank you! You have articulated with aplomb and with clarity... great job. And, just for druthers, I did buy the stand for this saw but have not used it yet... not installed it. The other thing is that I do not weld so wood will be my target type of material. Again, thanks for a great video.

    Blade seems faster that than similar corded models. Total game changer for Thieves and Vandals across the country. This combined with a cordless grinder and cutoff wheel will bring a whole new level of access for criminals.

    Cool video brother. I pulled the trigger and got me their holiday special. a pair of 5ah batteries, the fast charger, the tool and a blade. All for a ridiculously awesome price of $225. Thats not even enough to buy a tool only Milwaukee 😂😂😂

  • @eddyparker10
    @eddyparker10 7 місяців тому +1

    After numerous of research, I decided my collection would be Hercules. My brother has their Milwuakee tools and I am not a type of person who uses like the rest do but since all the projects that I do is only DIY projects I went to them and give it a try, I do not think I made the wrong decision. I already bought the 20v Impact Driver and in love with it.

      I tend to be a tool snob myself, but I think you make a good choice too. My boss has a Milwaukee cordless band saw similar to this, and I HATE the dual safety triggers on it. You have to engage the front and rear safety switches on it in the right order or it won't turn on. Dumb thing seems to shut down if you don't use it for a few minutes after inserting the battery, and you have to take the battery out and in again to reset it. IDK if that's another feature it's broke somehow, but for over $300 for those things, I'd expect something better.

      It would help IMO, but isn't super necessary all the time. I would say just for tougher metals like stainless steel which doesn't dissipate heat well and keeps more heat on the blade.

    That saw looks sweet. If you don't want to use the hercules batteries, you can get adapters for dewalt, milwaukee, skil, ridgid and a few others. Any if the 18v nominal batteries will work. I hear you on that. That's one reason I have stuck mainly with Dewalt over the years. Years ago, I had a bunch of Craftsman tools and they just stopped making batteries for them. HF seems to have up'd their game here over the past couple years. I'm hoping they get the big picture and do the same as Dewalt.

      Bandsaw is meant to cut metal dry

    • @JonDeth
      @JonDeth 9 місяців тому +2

      @@evanfrucht agreed but that's also because they're cheap. A higher end unit with wet cutting will perform better and it's left up to us if we will add a method for wet cutting with these.
      Oiling materials beforehand helps, but it also increases the conflict risk of accumulating debris in the cutting path and on the blade if the system does not flow and remove the material aside from lubricating it.

    Why act like you are just going to find out how the saw will handle the items, when its easy to see you had already made the cuts before filming the live ones, especially the RR track, just obvious it had just been cut. It was easy to tell because all the metal shavings, (not saw dust) all over the base. Was it to make sure the saw could handle it, before you went as far as to film it, just in case it failed so you could forego that test? Seems suspect to me, I smell something fishy.

    • @MakingStuff
      @MakingStuff  2 дні тому

      That piece of rail has been used in multiple saw videos and has been cut plenty of times in the past year. There is metal saw dust all over the vise because I use it all the time. This is not a sponsored video, so there really isn't a reason to be suspicious.
